MOST HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAD EXPERIENCEDSo, I was there the before and asked if I could get an inspection done on my truck. I was told if I can bring it in now or over the weekend, that it can be done... do I need an appointment .... no, just be there for the first time in the morning. Got there Saturday at 7:50am... door was open with one customer inside. The black guy behind the counter who was ranting about people walking in)called the customer up (who was also black) and set him up and just left me sitting there and went about his business. Waited to 8.00 am and approached the counter, and told the other guy that I was going to wait for my inspection. I was asked if I called in. I was. No, you told me to just come in, and why did the other guy set you up.Now I have been getting my inspection and oil change done here since 2019. I was told by the black guy that I failed because I needed a new set of tires ... see the photos. It had only been a year and 2000 miles since my last visit. I don't drive my truck... only 16900 miles on it. You guys need to stop ripping off people and have people skills. I know that this is going to fall on deaf ears, but I guess that is how they make a buck. MY TIRE THREAD DEPTH FAIL. I failed to meet the requirements of 2/32 inch thread depth. So they lied to sell me a set of 4 tires.Word to the wise .... educate yourself. I have never thought that a franchise would rip you off. This one preys on the uneducated. Trust me, I have been working in the industry. They will see it in court.It's a big difference seeing my in uniform and without. PEOPLE BE WARNED, THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS ONLY TAKE YOU'RE MONEY AWAY. GET A SECOND DIAGNOSIS. So now there local competitor use this to get more business because they show Mavis's practices..

My wife and I have been coming here for many years, and we are always satisfied. We had the pleasure of working with James recently. He was very kind and helpful. Our two tires were replaced and oil changed much quicker than we expected.

I recently came across the post from someone who had visited Mavis recently and gave a horrible review. I m here to tell you that there is no way he went to the Mavis in Port Jefferson Station. I ve been visiting them for many years and have gotten nothing but honesty, integrity, and complete consideration when helping out their customers. I m thinking this guy probably just wanted to get his inspection cleared and was angry at the fact that they told him his tires were not passable. To that person, I say, shame on you. I much rather go to an honest shop like Mavis in Port Jefferson, who I know have my best interest at heart, than risk me getting into an accident because they just passed my car to get the numbers. I hope this one review will not defer anyone from going to a honest and caring store like Mavis discount tires in Port Jefferson

Such a great experience. Brought my car in for a nail in my tire. When I picked it up they didn t charge me because they said it didn t puncture the tire and I wasn t losing air pressure. So nice to have an honest and trustworthy business. Will definitely use them for future issues.

Anthony was awesome! My mom and I had an issue with the license plate falling off and he had us come in immediately to fix it. Worked super fast and was extremely kind. 100% recommend !!!

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! On my birthday, I was driving in the area with 3 of my children ages 12, 3, and 2 years old!! They were close to closing and still helped me, I couldn't be more grateful and thankful for the men who took such great care of me!! Also, 5 stars for the child play center they have made the situation go from terrible to leaving feeling relief!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I have a Tesla Model Y which had a screw in the tire.Got in my car at 8:15am in the morning notice I had a screw in my tire. I saw my the PSI was down to 20. Called up mavisand made an appointment for 9:00am.I headed there right away where they took the car in immediately . They were quick and efficient. The car was ready by 8:50am.Great overall experience, I have used them multiple times at this point. 10 out of 10.

Excellent location. Performed a tire rotation in timely manner. From start to finish and as an awesome experience. Peter was a gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. Will be coming back for all my car needs

do not take your vehicle here for an inspection,!!! ever!! brought my vehicle in for an inspection and oil change to the port jeff station location,, the car is " like new condition" , get a call an hour later from " mr. smoothe talking salesman," telling me the car failed the inspection because i needed 4 new tires and they happened to be running a special!!! !!! absolute joke,!!!the tires are like brand new , the wear bars on all 4 tires still had the nipples on top of them, they weren't even close to being touched!! i knew this guy was trying to sell me not just because i knew the condition of the tires, but just his voice alone,mr.smoothie ,i told him leave the car alone and i would come pick it up.charges me $135.00 for an oil change and failed inspection ,before they hook the car up to the computer and charge for the inspection , i would think they would check the tires first and call the customer to let them know there was an issue with the tires and it's not going to pass?, but the money is not why i am really pissed off here, these guys are a liar's and scammers,and the thought of how many other customers they scammed in to thinking they needed new tires to pass the inspection is sickening to me, like elder people would fall for this, here;s the kicker!!!! i take the car directly over to firestone port jeff station, they passsed the car with flying colors!!! they said the tires were good for at least another 10k miles !!! stay away from this store if you need an inspection!! and if they try and dispute this on here , I have all the documents and pictures you need! I'll be glad to share them.! I hope I saved somebody OUT THERE some money here in the future!

The staff is always friendly and helpful and realistic with their time frames. Anytime I needed a vehicle serviced I only go to them. The work is great and they explain what needs to be done.

I had a great experience. Attendant was friendly and didn t try to upsell anything. I told him what I needed and he was able to provide just that. Quick too! I always feel safe going to Mavis.

I dropped off my car after a simple wheel alignment. I came back two hours later and when I start the car and drive around the lot I hear a rattling noise that I did not hear when I pulled in. I am 100% sure of that. When I asked them about it a man stomps over to me with a hostile attitude (this man I later found out is the owner. How sad.) and aggressively argues with me that the noise is completely normal. When I asked him what happened between now and when I dropped ofd the car and that I hear a significant noise, he aggressively shouted at me and feigned ignorance over and over. He basically was trying to gaslight me saying I was just hearing things. Unbelievable terrible service where the owner intimidates the customer and the customer is never right.

I came in to get my tires checked out, tire pressure light was blinking. It turned out that my tires were over filled with air. They fixed my car promptly and communicated with me through the process. I will be coming using them again!

Made an appt for an inspection 2 days prior. Went in and was told we are not doing inspections today. No phone call or email to let me know prior. Doesn t seem organized or care about customer service.

Had a wonderful experience both times I've gone to Mavis Tire in Port Jeff... quick waiting times, great customer service, and when I found a second nail in my tire only a few weeks after my first patch, they fixed it for free! Amazing business!

I have come to this Mavis several times in a pinch for a tire plug. Every time I have been in, James and his team take great care of me. They are efficient and professional. James is very pleasant and is always so kind and polite. I will continue to give them my business and plan to recommend this location to family and friends.

Easy to schedule apt. Relatively quick in comparison to other shops. Was able to work on laptop while waiting for car. Options given for necessary tune up and fixes.

Plain and simple. If you want your car. Hacked. This is the place to bring it. It's supposed to be a tire shop. They will cross thread you're studs. And not make good for their hacks job. Stay far away from this place.

Have been to it multiple times. The last time I was scheduled the following day for state inspection but I had found a nail in one of the tires so it could not wait to next day, I went in there around 5 pm after work and asked if they could help with the tire nail, Anthony was very helpful and when I said that I was scheduled for inspection the next day, he said we will do both for you now. Chad answered Ryan did everything pretty fast and in 30 minutes, car was ready.

Absolutely terrible. Went in for an inspection and they failed my car for poor front brakes. They wanted 900$ for full frontal brake job, took my car elsewhere and my brakes and rotors didnt need replacing. Save your money, dont go here. Rip offs
