My wife and I loved an affordable, comfy, and clean place to stay while we skied at Belleayre. Coffee in the AM was great and were total coffee snobs! We used to frequent this area several years ago and a few things have since closed down, meaning you ll need to drive over to Arkville for general supplies. Most places nearby seemed to open around 8am and close on the earlier side. Although we visited during the week and saw that they would make you breakfast on the weekend.Expect traditional Catskills lodging. We ve eaten at the tavern in the past and it was great. Didn t make it on our last visit.

The restaurant is such a great place for a casual or dressy date night or even just a drink at the bar solo. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is chill and fun and there's always a cool mix of people. One of the last historical inns/restaurants with that old-fashioned hospitable vibe that people have been drawn to for ages.I haven't stayed in the rooms but I've seen them and they're clean, perfect and affordable. The restaurant staff are knowledgeable, professional and hospitable and you'll feel at home whether you're a local or a tourist. One of the only local restaurants with real chefs, creating real beautiful dishes at affordable prices. Love this place!Food & drinks: Food and drinks are so good and atmosphere can't be beat. Casual or dressy.

I found this hotel when arrangements that I had fell through in the area for a family wedding on the hotest week of the summer. They had availability for the evening and welcomed me with open arms making Pine Hill feeling like a home away from home. The building and rooms were clean, well appointed, quaint with great AC on a hot summer day. Their attention to me and my observations of their attention to other guests was unparalled. Looking forward to visiting again and hope when your in the area you consider them for your stay.Rooms: Clean, well appointed and quaint.Nearby activities: Close by to numerous activities and venues.Walkability: Convienently located.

Have been coming to pine hills for a few years now, great hotel surrounded by beautiful nature and good ski slopes! Hotel itself is clean and has a great restaurant & bar. Fireplace downstairs is really cozy especially in winter. :)

Pleasant time! see the other reviews which I based this choice upon -- we enjoyed our brief stay -- yes its an old building and the room was a little awkward, but most-importantly for me it hit all the stars -- we were greeted and treated with friendliness throughout our stay and the linens and bathroom were extremely clean. Warm fireplaces going all the time. Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared in the coffee shop. Freshly-squeezed orange juice was being made while I enjoyed my meal. Only minus perhaps is that the walls are a bit thin between rooms but even the newest hotels I've found you can hear your neighbors so I'd brought my earplugs and it was not a big problem. Got some quality time skiing nearby and a great weekend. Would return!

We had a great stay here this past weekend. Great little bar and restaurant on site, a wood burning stove in the common area you can hang out and enjoy. Joe the owner was extremely kind and helpful (thanks, Joe!). Perfect place to stay for a ski weekend. Make sure to go down the street to Colonial for a drink, you wont want to miss it!

A wonderful and welcoming place that is a hidden gem! We only stayed one night but it was a great stay! Room was cozy, bed was comfortable and the food was superb! We were greatly surprised at the high quality, and great tasting food! Beer selection was great too! We also appreciated the small gesture from the chef as we were celebrating our anniversary. We highly recommend this place to all; those who are looking for a place to stay and/or somewhere to eat!

My stay was a last minute decision plus it was the July 4th weekend. Jane checked me in and was extremely friendly. I can t tell you how comfortable the bed was and how soft their sheets were, which made sleeping at the Arms am absolute pleasure. Myself & and my service dog Milo who goes everywhere with me had the most peaceful & quiet night, we will return and can t wait to be honest!

Food was phenomenal! Breakfast at Maeves was a real treat and dinner next door was more than what I expected .Very friendly environment and they have a really cool lounge area where they play country/western classics from a speaker.Surrounding area is just as beautiful as one could imagine.Only thing was, the beds. They were not comfortable for two people to sleep in. You'd be better off sleeping in one bed and your partner in another.Other than that I left yearning to come back. Great staff. I had an awesome weekend.

This restaurant is an absolute GEM! I went w/friends and while the food was great in quality and value, more than that was the full experience of walking in the door and feeling welcomed as family despite being there for the first time. The owner sat with us and shared my now new favorite adult beverage - Becherovka, a Czech Herbal Liqueur. The place is clean, friendly, and the owner and his family take pride in the food and atmosphere. Should be a destination, a must try!

Place is absolutely incredible. It's nestled in the middle of small quite town with a deep country feel. I've spent the 3 out of the 4 past weekends (couldn't get one of the weekends off from work) to get my hunting addiction out of my system. From the warm smiles at the coffee shop in the morning, to the good conversation and nights caps at the bar, the place has it all in one spot. The food issimply delicious with nice sized portions, and the rooms are completely comfortable. The staff at this place is quick to respond with any questions.the family that took it over did a great job with the renovations and I will continue to come back.

It s a quaint, charming inn in a quiet town of Pine hills. The bed was comfortable and they provided ample toiletries and towels for the room. The owner was very nice, accommodating and understanding after my mishap with the shower valve. The location is close enough to several hiking locations, famous restaurants & brewery in the region and a short drive to ski destination in winter as well.

Pine Hill Arms was the perfect place for myself and my kids to stay while skiing at Belleayre. The reception was welcoming and helpful. Rooms were cozy and clean. (Remember to turn off the steam heat before going to sleep or you ll be very toasty) The restaurant has good food; Pretzels, Spicy Chicken and Pilsners hit the spot both nights.

Pine Hill Arms Hotel was great! Specifically because of the hosts Jane and Peter. They both went out of there way to accommodate us. Jane puts out coffee every morning at 6am which was great to have. There is a lot to do in the area but I would recommend having a car. Belleayre beach is a short drive away as well as multiple trailheads and restaurants within 5-20 minutes away (driving). Phoenicia and Belleayre Mountain are a short drive away. The only reason I gave this place 4 and not 5 stars is because of the room size. The rooms are SMALL but do the job if you are just using the room as a place to sleep and keep your things.

We love the Pine Hill Arms! We have been back a few times now, this spot is really special! The whole place is cozy, always clean, quiet and laid back. The fire in lobby is always chugging away, the food and drinks are always great, and the rooms are snug. The family that owns and operates this place are so incredibly friendly and welcoming. Would recommend to just about anybody!

This is the place to go if you want to get away for a nice relaxing get away! I stayed for my birthday a few weeks ago, I m so happy I did. Joe the owner is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He was so helpful on what places to go and see. He went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. Great fun conversations! Rooms were nice and clean, beds and pillows super comfortable. There is bikes he has to ride witch was nice to go for a little cruise. Joe had a fire going out back every night with nice chairs and benches was so nice and relaxing. The restaurant attached blew me away. Every single thing I ordered was made with perfection by the cook. The wings and ranch were amazing. The bartender and waiters were all super nice and fun full of entertainment. They had amazing Long Island teas, Bloody marrys and any drink really. They have the cleanest cups as well lol! Indoor and outdoor seating. It really is perfect. I was sad to leave but I ll definitely be going back! Can t go wrong with this spot.

This was my second time staying at the Pine Hill Arms and it didn't disappoint! The rooms were redone and the beds were incredibly comfortable. This was my first time eating at the restaurant and all the food was fresh and delicious. My brother and I spent about 5 hours at the hotel bar chatting with other patrons and the staff and had a great time. Everyone is so helpful and friendly and I'm looking forward to staying here again!

On a last minute trip to the mountains our stay was all we asked for and more! Upon our arrival I received all the information I needed and a warm greeting from the owner. The cozy feel and the family run environment creates the perfect impression. All our questions and needs where met throughout our stay and the COVID measures they have in place make you feel secure in your stay. I fell in love with the charm and would recommend and hope to return. Wonderful place to stay while exploring the Catskills!

Our third time staying here. Every time we visit Catskills, this has become our go to place to stay and dine. Food is as always excellent and fresh. Beds and pillows are so comfortable, perfect after a long day of hiking in the mountains. There are no TVs btw.. just a place to lay your head in and to have some good food to eat, also good choice of beer.Ideal place to stay for a quick getaway with an affordable price. Thank you to the owners and staff for the kind hospitality as always. We can t wait to visit again soon.

We stayed a short three nights but enjoyed the warmth and hearty welcome from all of the staff. The food was delicious (highly recommend the fried chicken!) and the bar was cozy. Patrons were friendly as well. The delightful aroma of the coffee from Maeve s Place was a treat to wake up to. Our room wasn t large (we had one Queen bed) but sufficient and clean. I look forward to returning!

Recently stayed here for a weekend ski trip and we loved it. The rooms are cozy, clean and comfortable. The downstairs bar area is really nice, and on Saturday they had live music until 10:30. We had dinner at the restaurant one night, and everything was amazing and reasonably priced. Also, it comes with a free breakfast and is a 2 min drive from the mountain! We'll be going back again this season.

We went to the bar for dinner at this hotel in the quaint downtown area of Pine Hill. The food was good. I enjoyed the fish and chips. The drinks were great. I enjoyed the atmosphere and they even had a pool table. It was the perfect place to have some dinner and drinks after a long day of skiing at Belleayre Mountain a few miles away.
