Good service. Call them before you head out. They might be busy and take longer than usual. I did my car inspection and they took care of that. I have 2022 make car and they took $10 for inspection. You may need patience to get Customer service phone call.

I love this place tesh is the best all the workers are great tech did some welding and machining on some metal parts of my antique bicycle called a penny farthing he did such a great job so experienced even though he's young I will definitely be back for more work on my hobbies of bikes I suggest anyone with any problems weather mechanical or machining to not hesitate you won't be sorry also there prices are fantastic compared to other competitors around

Been following this garage a while through a friend of a friend notably for Tesh and his mad tig welding skills and all the seats he graciously places around the big apple. Finally meeting the Monkeys made it even more fantastic because these guys are super cool know their stuff and so accomodating. I'd recommend them

Make sure to look at all these one star reviews they re not lying. Unprofessionals that can t communicate or take ownership. Manipulating and gaslighting at its finest. They couldn t fix the issue so they assumed what it could be changed it and made the issue worse then what it previously was took no accountability on the work and left me without a solution.

Disclaimer: my uncle owns a car shop. Why start off with that? Because you don't get a better more trusted mechanic than blood. But that's in Bushwick. I'm in Ozone Park now. A literal neighbor (91st St). Every day I walk by the Monkey Wrench. I've even gone there for trick-or-treat with my son. It's always busy and I've never actually gone there because like I said.. my uncle owns a shop. Anyways, one day my headlight blew and I bought LED bulbs since I figure if I'm going to get it changed, might as well go for LED's which I've wanted to do for the longest. My uncle was on vacation and I didn't want to wait so I brought the car to the Monkey Wrench. Spoke with Lenny. He asked me where my car was. I said right outside. He asked me if I had the bulbs which I did. Minutes later I had LED bulbs installed. I tried to pay but he would not take it. I guess it's because to him it was simple and easy. But business is business so I forced him to take payment. Anyways, I've been back there twice now for an oil change and turn light bulb replacement. Guess I have 2 trusted shops now. There's a reason they're always busy. They're good. They know what they doin and most of all, trustworthy. Shoutout to Lenny and Kevin. This review is overdue but just wanted to show appreciation. Next things up on my list: spark plugs and change fog lights to LED's on my Tucson. Gonna get it done at the Monkey Wrench.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I ve been going here for inspections, ac recharge and a few other things and I have to say that overall I m very happy with the service that is being provided. I would gladly recommend anyone with any car issues to check these guys out.

Great and knowledgeable technicians-they installed the tow hitch on my 2008 Ford edge; it was a trick your installation than what the manufacturer of the hitch suggested they very quickly and efficiently worked out a solution and got the hitch installed perfectly.I will certainly be referring family members and others who need any type of work they advertise.

Brought my car in for a suspension swap back to stock height, quote was less than I paid to have the suspension swapped a few years ago. Tesh helped me pick out what muffler setup was best for my 14 avenger. Was not disappointed. Ask for tesh if you re not sure what setup is best he ll definitely help you out.

Seriously amazing service. It s 2023 and let s face it, a lot of shops are lacking in quality and want to overcharge for their work. Not Tesh! This guy and his team are true professionals at what they do, I previously took my car to American Muffler where they botched a simple exhaust job and left me with holes in my exhaust due to novice welding work, went back to them and they refused to fix it. Tesh cut out all the terrible work that they did and fixed it the RIGHT way and charged me way less! Lesson learned, I will only be coming here from now on. Thanks team! Will be bringing all my cars here.Oh, I also love how the shop has little easter eggs all throughout, you could feel the personality in the shop. Visit and you will see for yourself!

Very knowledgeable shop! Easy to find and convenient. Got my inspection done today 10 mins I was out of there. Plus I was informed I needed brakes and they explored different options I had. Will be back for my brake change.

Very happy with this mechanic. Had to replace my catalytic converter and met with Lenny. He was very professional and explained in detail what needed to be done, and more importantly why it needed to be done. I felt like I understood what I was paying for. They were able to install what I needed and I am pleased with the work. I will be recommending and returning to this spot. Thanks guys!

the best prices and always maintaining my vehicles in tip top shape... been going there for 8 years now... Some rude skunt on the phone I just wanted to find out how much for a oil chance 2003 Gs400 and couldn t give me a price refused to give name then said his name is Ben this place gone down in quality and customer service usually I just deal with lenny and is excellent but am having second thoughts about coming back there

By far the most unprofessional staff and no attention to detail I have ever seen. I Went there for exhaust work on my car, when arrived to the shop I was welcomed by unprofessionals. Had me waiting there for 20 minutes before they actually approached to me with an attitude to see what I I needed. You have to talk to 8 different people there before finally 1 can tell you if the work can be done. Overall this shop is a waste of time and full with unprofessional employees that don t know how to communicate with customers.Service: Auto exhaust system repair

These guys are the absolute BEST! Very thorough and VERY honest!! They won't try to tell you your car needs something it doesn't! Their prices are very reasonable and they will never over charge you. I have recommended them to a few of my friends and they have never been happier! Lenny, Chris and the other guys are very respectful and Extremely professional! WOMEN do not feel nervous about coming here, these guys, like I said, are VERY Honest and will NOT try to take advantage with prices because you're a woman. (Like some other places might). You want a Great, Reliable Mechanic that is VERY knowledgeable and Proud of the work they do, then Monkey Wrench is the place to go!!

Brought in my 2014 altima. Lenny quickly assisted me and solved my problem which was just a loose part from the exhaust. Smooth business and good guys. Fair prices really he blessed me and they definitely gained a customer with how I was helped this morning would recommend to anyone. Gonna definitely bring my car back to lenny any time.

Went today to replace my egr valve and honestly i had the best experience. They were all really nice. I don t know much about cars so they explained it to me in detail so I could understand. Their prices are really great especially compared to other auto shops near that area. I would definitely recommend this auto shop to anyone I know. Great service all around. Thank you guys.

I had to do an engine swap on my 2012 Honda Accord last year because a rod pierced my old engine. My friend told me about this place. A lot of other mechanics refused to do it because it requires expertise and it s labor intensive. They did amazing work and for a great price. A year later it still runs great and I have no issues with it. I totally recommend this mechanic.

Monkey Wrench car repair shop is the best repair shop that I know. I have been to countless shops and they all fail usually in one of the many important categories: price, honesty, diagnosis and lastly mechanical skill. The Monkey Wrench and most importantly Lenny shines in each and every one of these categories. Always deal with Lenny and I pray with much faith that he will not fail you. For God's sake don't let me down Lenny!

If your looking for a better mechanic shop I would suggest this place. I ve been here several times, took my Jeep Wrangler for a muffler replacement. The guys here are awesome. They are Very informative & detailed about what your vehicle needs. Give them a try. Prices are great & the workmanship speaks for itself.

Had a problem. Went to monkey wrench.Dude checked out my car. Told me how to fix the problem myself because its easy. I tried giving him money for his time and he wouldnt take it. Will def be coming back next time I have issues.

I usually never leave reviews even for wack services, however, I feel compelled to leave one for this place. I went here because of all the positive reviews online. My engine was shaking and I was not sure what was wrong with it. When i arrived, one of the workers ran a scanner test and told me it could be a number of things. He and a number of others looked at my shaking engine but did not run full diagnostics. First, they told me it could be bad gas which would be an easy and cheap fix but then another man stepped in and told me i need to do a full tune up and replace all 4 pistons/ bolts and that it would cost upwards of $400. I asked them if there were any other options and he would not budge. He did not properly access my car either. I knew I could not afford that so I left and parked my car. After a while my battery died but I was told by a third party that I needed to just replace the alternator. I went back to monkey wrench because they were in proximity and because I was again told that they offered legit services. Somehow their service got worse the second time around. I went to them with an alternator and asked them to replace it. They again did not check the car and replaced the part without testing it, nothing. They assigned me a man who barely acknowledged me and only spoke to my brother. They engine was still shaking and battery was not staying on but the man cleared us to leave. I was SHOCKED. I even explained we would have to take the car over the bqe and expressed my concern that it would not make it but he did not care and was dismissing us once he was given the cash. Few minutes later the car died again. The part was either faulty or the battery was dead. I called the guy back again. Instead of apologizing for falsely clearing us or offering service, he told us to park the car around the corner and have someone come take a look at it . I asked him who he expected us to get to service from since he was the one assigned to help us! He again was being avoidant until my brother demanded he take another look. He said the battery might be dead. I am appalled at the fact that he was willing to send us off knowing something was still very wrong with the vehicle that was u likely to be able to run on its own. Either he was not very skilled or he was just disinterested after getting the cash from us. I asked to work with someone else he said he will have his team and manager look at it tomorrow. The next day another family member of mine went and forced then to do a diagnostic test and they discovered that the battery was completed dead and that only one bolt was loose. Basically, this entire thing could have been prevented and solved if they weren't careless and greedy in the first place. Had to tow the car elsewhere because we simply could not trust them. NEVER AGAIN. Whatever you do, do not go here.

I went in to get a BMW PE mod done. Tesh gave me a fair price and did a wonderful job doing it. Everyone in the shop was friendly to talk to and answered any questions you have. They were very professional and excepted input from its customers.
