Brought in a 2020 GMC Acadia for full break and rotor changed. My local guy was out of town and we needed it done ASAP due to a problem. My wife charged over $1700 for a break change and over $1000 in parts alone. When asking why the parts were so expensive, they stated "Monro can upcharge the parts to make a profit". After I asked what their upcharge was they stated "I don't know what the upcharge is, we can put what we want on it and I don't deal with pricing." I then asked if they could take me to someone who does deal with pricing and she said "You aren't allowed to speak with that department". Long story short, before you go here, just realize that they can "upcharge" you whatever they want for their parts to make a profit. $300 worth of parts turns into $700 worth of profit for them! Don't entertain the bunch of scammers that they are!!

This place really saved us. I was Upstate for the weekend and noticed my tire was leaking air on a Sunday morning. Thank god they are open 7 days a week, unlike almost all shops in the Oneonta area. I called to see if the they could take a look at my tire and they said yes, so I brought my car in. The mechanic found a screw and patched up my tire in an hour and I was on my way home to the city. I will definitely keep this place in mind for the future.

I waited over two hours for brakes that I need to pass inspection and an oil change. They over charge and I m still waiting for my car back. The inspector was not onsite till 30 minutes after the start of my appointment. They told a lady that had her light clear to drive the mileage first and come back. It was supposed to be an inspection.lucky I watched the nurse call out the shop and will have to make things right! They pulled another car in worked on that one and billed me the time. I watched them bill me time as they text on there cell phones. Yea save your money. I will not be a reoccurring customer here. Oh and apparently we can t even clean off the old sticker to put the new one on..

Very disappointing service today. Went in last week for an inspection. Was told I needed some brake work done before my car could pass that I couldn't afford that day. No big deal. Made another appointment for the work and my inspection for this week, when I could afford it. Their worker Darius quoted me $515 for the brakes and inspection and I scheduled my appointment. Came in today for my appointment and was told they can't do my inspection because their employee who does inspections left. Was told they needed to look at my car to give me a quote. I reminded them they had already done that last week, and the guy now told me this quote did not include the inspection, so my price was $515 not including the inspection. Left my vehicle, annoyed that this meant I didn't have my car inspected until I could get my car back in around my schedule, now for a third time. Darius called me back an hour later and now told me the cost was over $600. I informed him this was now the third different price they'd given me for the same work. He explained he forgot to include something in the original price, no apologies given, then told me this situation was my fault because it's my vehicle. Very disappointing. I'd really liked coming to this location because it's so close to home, and before now the service had been great, but this will be the last business I do here. Disgraceful service. And another fun update. They kept my car from 2:00 to 3:30 then called me to get it. They didn't touch it. Didn't do the work. Just hung onto it for an hour then called me to come get it. Darius should be shown the door. Horrendous customer service. I'm all done with these guys. Ridiculous. Just made my appointment elsewhere.

Had an appointment at 9am for 4 new tires, which were prepaid . Dropped truck off at 8:50am and was told it would be about an hour. Went back at 10:30 and truck hadn't been touched. Was told they would call when finished. I called them at 1:40pm and was told the truck was about to be pulled in. I reminded him that our appointment was for 9am. He said, "we got busy, sorry". After no call at 3pm, we drove back to Oneonta and found the truck still didn't have new tires on it due to their lift not being able to lift the truck! Nice Saturday.

These people are SO NICE!I have been coming here for 3.5 years (started with seasonal tire exchange; they have also done some replacements and repairs and inspection). They are SUPER helpful and accommodating; one of the staff members advised me extensively (for free) on certain parts that it would be more efficient to buy online.EVERYONE is easy to communicate with, candid, friendly and it is hard to believe that one can almost look forward to a visit with a "tire place".highly recommend!!!

I went in to get a noisy wheel bearing checked. After inspection, I was told it was not my bearing but "chopped" tires. Ok, whatever. I asked them to look at the bearings, and they assured me the noise I was hearing was simply tire noise from the worn tires. After the purchase of 2 new tires, the noise still was there. I went somewhere else, and sure enough, it was a bad wheel bearing. UGH. While the mechanics were friendly, and somewhat knowledgeable, they totally BLEW IT with my car. Not happy at all. Doubt I will go back there again for anything major. I did not go to my regular mechanic, as I wanted to get the wheel bearing fixed post haste, as I had been hearing the noise for a few days prior to getting it checked out. I feel totally ripped off, and am at best disgusted with the failure to actually LOOK AT the bearings as I requested they do.

This place is an absolute joke. I dropped my car off on a Saturday afternoon for the first appointment Sunday morning. I didn't hear anything so proceeded to call Sunday afternoon where I was told they don't have my car. Thinking I had the wrong location I checked my call log to determine this was the place and called back where the gentleman that answered the phone proceeded to look out the window this time for my car. It was there in the lot. He said it was being pulled in and will get back to me. I called back 3 hours later because they did not contact me and was told they won't be working on it until the following day. Told him never mind, due to the unprofessionalism the lack of communication I was not able to get there before closing. The gentleman said he would leave my keys for me to pick up that evening. When I went to retrieve my vehicle there were no keys and my vehicle was unlocked in the parking lot. I will never use this Monro auto service and will share this experience to anyone that will listen.

We were visiting NY for a baseball tournament and got a screw in our tire. The closest tire shops were about 20 miles away in Oneonta. Monro s happened to still be open, so we drove there to get them to patch it. They were getting ready to close but took our car in, patched the tire (for $25.92!), and had us back out the door in less than 30 minutes. They even recommended a great place to eat in Oneonta. We were very impressed!

The service here has been routinely awesome for me. They are available on Sat and Sun (I can t take weekdays off). The one time I had a problem after they changed my tires for me, they got me in immediately and fixed it gratis. Darius and the rest of the team are excellent.

called to have work done on my vehicle and was denied estimate over the phone as I needed to have it looked at first. I brought my car in and was told I would get an estimate before any work was done. Several hours later I was called and told that the work had already been started they could only give me prices on parts but not on labor until work was done. I had no choice but to let them finish the work. 1/2 hour later they were finished. When I got my bill, I found that I had been charged for several hours worth of labor and over charged on parts. I tried disputing based on the fact that by law they are required to provide an estimate before starting work and at the customers request which I was denied several times. I contacted corporate and they wouldn't even acknowledge that they had violated this law they would only offer me a "price match" if I went to a competitor for an estimate from them. I called around an no one would provide an estimate for work that had already been done as they couldn't confirm what work had been needed/truly done. I told this to corporate and was told "too bad" I will NEVER step foot in another Monro again after this horrible experience

I dropped my car off at 9am for an oil change, tire change and rear brakes. They charged me $159 just for brake pads and told me corporate policy they can t install the ones I bought, $269 total for brake service. $477 total for all the services because they tacked on several extra services that I did not ask for. I ve gone to these guys a few times now and have never been this upset

Friendly service done in a timely manner with a schedule that can fit your needs. Sometimes there's a wait due to the workload or any technical situations but overall a good place for regular car maintenance items (oil change, serpentine belt change, brake pads etc).

Great people here. Will work with you what you want done, no hard sell for unneeded repairs, knowledgeable, calmly explain things without condescending. When I noticed the TPS sensor light on after a repair, they took it back, undid the tire, reinstalled the TPS sensor with no complaint. They're not the cheapest but they do good work, and that's worth paying for. Parts they use are OEM or better with warranties. Waiting room has wifi, nice and warm during winter.

We stopped with a bit of an emergency and several of the staff helped right away, were very pleasant, and when we thanked them said "we want to make sure our customers are safe." They certainly went the extra mile and gave us huge peace of mind. A wonderful example of great customer service and genuine, compassionate caring.

Although they don't answer their phone very often, I was able to get an oil change done close to their closing time. I went to 3 different places that day before them that offered oil changes, but they all turned me down claiming they couldn't fit me in. However, Monro was able to do so. The change took only about half an hour, and the wait was not excruciating. Their service was impeccable, and the guy even checked my engine light codes for me!! I definitely recommend this place to other people. Low prices, but great service!

Dude seemed nice enough but guys, you gotta get your shid together. You just made my wife drive 1hr round trip for no reason a second time. This was entirely preventable. First off, did you even try to get the original tie rod loose? I managed to get it loose in my driveway just now in less than 5 minutes. 10 if you count putting the three tools away after. Finally, when you schedule someone for a known part replacement, why on earth would you refuse to confirm in advance with NAPA that the parts are available? You're acting like a simple tie rod replacement is gonna snowball into a frame swap. I'm still not sure if you guys were just grossly incompetent or actually shady. Just look the parts up in advance if it's so important/risky that the client takes the trouble to call three days before the appointment. Jeesh.

I went to a nationally known shop in Pennsylvania for an alignment on my Ford Flex a month ago. I realized after a month that my brand new rear tires were completely worn on the inside edges to the point of the steel belts were showing. That shop never touched the rear alignment and literally "set the toe and let it go". This caused me to find a reputable shop to help me. I called Monro and spoke to Rich. Rich was more than knowledgable and helpful on the phone and set up an appointment. When we arrived he was a bit backed up but got us in quickly. I have been in the auto business all my life and watching Rich do the alignment told me I picked the right place. Rich understood the difference between doing an alignment and doing a good alignment. I couldn't be more pleased with not only the service I received but the great workmanship that was performed on my wife's Flex. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a good repair provider. Great job Rich and your team!

Excellent customer service, and incredible work done on my car. Driving feels smoother and I had a really good time joking around with Ryan and Rich in the shop. They also looked at something that is not really part of what they do and they at least referred me to someone they knew could help me out. Top quality guys for a top quality place.

AWESOME PLACE! TRUSTWORTHY! CUSTOMER SERVICE TOP PRIORITY! My daughter attends college nearby and she had an issue with her car where she thought she was unsafe driving it. I am 2 1/2 hrs. away and told her to go to Monro Muffler to have her brakes checked. Ryan checked her car out fully. He evaluated her car promptly and her car was fine and he didn't fabricate an issue. He did not charge her. Ryan is a honest, trustworthy person. It was like sending her to family who you could trust. I highly recommend this place.

On a Sunday afternoon I needed a rapid brake job while my daughter was in dance rehearsal. Not only did they get me in and in out, they managed to fix one problem without buying expensive new parts. It cost less than I thought, and I was back to rehearsal early! Excellent service with a great smile.

I had heard poor reviews of Munro and was reluctant to go there, but I had a serious problem with an overheated engine on New Year's Eve (a Sunday, no less) and had to drive 300 miles the following day. This was the only garage open in the area. When we called, we learned there was a new manager, Ryan, who took over the store 3 weeks earlier, who said he would do whatever he could to help us out, even though he only had one mechanic in the shop that day. When I arrived, Ryan personally inspected the car, made a couple of calls to his warehouse, and guaranteed me that he would get me back on the road the same day. The car was ready to go a half hour earlier than he estimated, and the drive the following day was smooth. Ryan is honest and dedicated, and he has won over a new customer.
