This place is awesome! I travel for work and most hotels in the country have turned into dumps. The pool and hot tub are clean. The rooms are not only clean but MAINTAINED. Great breakfast too, which is available until 10am!!!! The best part is the staff. I dread my future hotel visits at other locations as I will be inevitably being comparing then to my time here in Oneonta.Oh yeah, the kids loved it more than I did bc of the great pool.Safety: Not nearly as sketchy as other hotels I've stayed in. This visit was a vacation stop, but I travel for work and stay in hotels in this price range all of the time.

Absolutely terrible experience. Very rude staff at the front desk. I stayed there back in September and I had to check out 1 day early and they never gave me a refund, and as a diamond member with Hilton, they said they will give me a refund. I live out of state and I have called 5 times since then and every time I call they say they will take care of it, and they NEVER do!! Do yourself a favor and find a different place to stay at. I had family stay at the Mariott downtown and they had a fantastic experience, much better than this dump.Rooms: Disgusting and outdated

Wonderful stay. I was traveling with my mother to watch my son's baseball game parents weekend. First the desk clerk gave us a room near the elevator. The next day the clerk allowed us a late checkout so she could remain on her condensed oxygen. The entire staff was extremely friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Thank you so much for being so accommodating.

I ve worked with this staff.They are very unprofessional!Rude and disrespectful!Because of them I ll never work at a hotel ever again.The way they clean is unsanitary.And the comforter you sleep with doesn t get washed every time someone uses it.And the mattress pads only get changed once a month. It s nasty!Like I said staff is super disrespectful!

We stayed at this property for a baseball tournament. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all great. They definitely make it inviting with complimentary cookies, popcorn and an area to take a picture of your player. The breakfast was great and coffee was fresh at all times of the day. If you are coming for a baseball tournament this is the best place being only five minutes from the field and five minutes from restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores. Overall a great stay.

-100/10 I have never experienced such incompetence in my life. I made a reservation on the phone. They took all of my information. I never received a confirmation email or any verification that I had booked a room. I called the hotel two days before my trip. They say that they do not have my reservation. They cannot find any information on me in the system. They ask if I want to rebook with them I say no and I book with a different hotel. Two days later they charge my credit card. I tried to call the hotel and every time they say that the man that deals with financial disputes is on vacation and then I have to leave a message. I have left multiple messages. No one has answered me. So now I am being charged with a room that I never stayed in because I was told that I do not have a reservation there. I will never be staying at the Hampton Inn again.

I have stayed at many Hampton Inns up and down the East Coast this past year, and this one in Oneonta is EXCELLENT for many reasons including - the hotel was extremely clean; the staff was warm and friendly; the rooms were great; the beds were very comfortable. I loved the workout room, especially the Peloton Bike. The FREE breakfast was delicious. This was a top notch Hampton Inn and I will be booking there again and again.

Had a great experience with this hotel. I broke down and could see this location from the highway so I pulled off and asked their rates. Front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. Offered to help find local towing resources. When I checked out I was told the person I dealt with was either Jerry or the manager, but overall great experience.Rooms: Rooms were clean and up to date. Very pleased.

The total experience! Enjoyed our two night stay at this Hampton Inn so much! From the clean rooms, amenities, breakfast and kindness, this place is the next best place to home. Any place can give you a bed and some grub, but not every place has the kind, helpful, friendly staff like this Hampton Inn. From the GM, Anthony to the front desk staff of Ava, Kerry and Jackie, each made you feel like you were chatting with a friend. They were responsive and went out of their way to recommend great places to eat from an local s perspective. Enjoyed it so much I am looking for excuses to drive up that way again soon. Thank you to the staff at the Hampton Inn in Oneonta.

I stayed here one time, and that was one too many. The guy that was working the night shift was rude and clearly annoyed by our checking in. After 15 minutes of him trying to check us in, we get to the room and see that it's outdated and stinks like smoke, even though it's supposed to be a non-smoking room. The bathroom was gross, there were hairs on the toilet seat which tells me the toilet wasn't even cleaned. The shower was small and broken, also had terrible water pressure. I'm honestly surprised that this location has more than 4 stars on Google, seeing as that other reviewers also seem to agree that you should avoid this location. To make things worse, they overcharged my card and NO ONE will help me. I live out of state, this is not something that I can go back for to resolve in person. They don't pick up the phone.. The one time someone did pick up, they told me no one was available to help me, and that I would get a call back. I never got that call, and have had to resort to filing a chargeback for this issue. Please, do yourself a favor and find another place to stay.

The room was lovely. The first night was amazing. It is really uncomfortable knowing that after reporting this situation 3 times the hotel is okay with allowing 15 little girls (ages 6-10 maybe) alone in the pool area. With the parents not around. Don t want to think the worst but can t help it when the hotel can t even follow the rules posted in the pool area.

Great staff! Super friendly! Great location! They had a special event bbq for all the families for college graduation weekend! So nice! Anthony & everyone at the desk are awesome!Rooms: Super clean!Nearby activities: Close to Cooperstown & Oneonta college!Safety: Great location!Food & drinks: Really yummy breakfast! Well stocked. Great selection. Love the Waffles!

The Hampton Inn Oneonta is a fine hotel. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The location was perfect for where I needed to be. The morning breakfast was very good and left me wanting for more but couldn t because I was full hahaha. The rooms were very clean and nice. Overall great experience and if I was ever near that area again I would 100% stay at this same hotel.

In the four years we have visited our college student (now a graduate) in Oneonta we have stayed at the Hampton Inn. The location is perfect to access the two colleges in town. The rooms are clean. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. For graduation weekend they had a food bar in the lobby with hotdogs, bottles of water, brownies, snacks, and even cotton candy! It was lovely. I will miss going there.

The staff is what makes this place awesome.Are there wonderful amenities? Absolutely. Free coffee and tea plus a snack shop? Amazing!The walls are so, so thin when there are nightmare guests next to you, like there was for me, it can be disastrous.However, the staff went out of their way to reaping to every call, and come at this situation with kindness and professionalism. Though they couldn t change our room due to capacity, they did everything in their power (and then some) to fix the situation. Thank you to the two incredible ladies who went to bat for their guests!

Spent two nights here. Easy drive to downtown area or to Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame). Beautiful setting near highway. Wonderful staff and we had a very enjoyable stay. It's a Hampton so expect the Hilton way.
