These people are awesome! Fair, honest, and affordable. They had my car fixed and ready to go earlier than expected. I live out of state and they saved me a 12 hr round trip back to pick up my car. Thank you! Thank you!!!

If you are NOT a local and you need car service.. go to J&R's. They take good care of my Florida vehicle, and gave me (I think) is an honest evaluation.. which is saying a lot since I visit relatives in the Olean area with my FL car. Some of the other auto shops the locals rave about ... But they were not very honest with us "Floridians" when I declined to have unneeded services done, they put my steering wheel on upside down. Not cool. That's when I went to J&R who fixed it. My only suggestion for J&R is to double check that your worker tightens the oil cap after an oil change. We found it was very loose/leaking after services which could have been bad if we were traveling.

I m new to the Olean area, I had a dealership (NY VW) that would do maintenance on my VW GTI and as soon as I got the car back, something would be wrong. I had a water pump swapped out and my fuel line O-Ring was broken from the day I picked it up at NT VW, I had found the leak, brought it to J&R and they were great. I expressed I don t know anyone in the area who works on foreign cars, this area is filled with American vehicles. But the owner gave me a tour of the place, told me they ve been doing this for 41 years and work on all cars, Maserati, Porsche, Mercedes, VW, ext. they had my car back to me same day and every employee was great to me all around. I ll be bringing my car back whenever it needs repairs. If you own a foreign car, do not think twice. J&R has the guys to fix your issues.

First impressions go a long way. I didn't go in for anything major but the guy at the counter stopped what it was he was doing and got me taken care of quick. He seemed happy to help and not like I was an inconvenience for him. I try to work on my vehicles myself as much as possible but sometimes I only have the tools to take it apart and not back together. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Brough my car into the shop with all the parts needed for a repair after they told me they d be able to do it in two days. Come the day it s supposed to be done and they need to order another part because I didn t bring it. The part was in the box the entire time, but then come the day I go to pick up the car they didn t even install of the parts I asked of them and charged me as if they did.- in response to what they replied with. I never brought a replacement part, the replacement part was in the box the entire time they just choose to look over it. And not to mention never even replaced anything on the left side of the vehicle. Shady business, considering one employee is telling others a part wasn t there to require me to purchase another part through them.

We were visiting the area and our car broke down on a Saturday afternoon. J&R towed the vehicle to their shop (tow truck arrived in less than 30 minutes), sent a staff member with a minivan to transport us to their office, and rented us the only rental vehicle available in town. Our car was repaired and tested by 11:00 AM Monday. The price was reasonable, and the trip home was uneventful. I could not have asked for better service!

I get my semi serviced here. John always works me in asap. They understand my truck is my bread and butter. Good folks

My wife and I are dual military service members and were up in Olean visiting family. We drove from Florida hauling our 43 foot fifth wheel, and the day before we were supposed to depart back to Florida we noticed an air bubble on one of our tires. We were recommended to J and R Auto by a family member, and I am pleased to say that we were treated very well and the service we received was amazing. We called in the morning and asked for a set of four commercial tires and they not only found them for me, but they also installed them the same day. I found the price to be very affordable and the service just put this shop over the top. The owner took care of us personally and the staff and equipment used were top notch. Thank you for saving our vacation.

Brand new alignment racks but a stubborn know it all tech means the 1500 i just spent on tires 2000 miles ago was a waste and have to buy new ones again. I was certified by hunter for 10 years and tried to help the guy out but he told me idk what im talking about. Ha.

I can't say speak on the work they do, since i have not had any work done here. But i can say that I've contacted an employee twice already at this location over the past week & unfortunately still have yet to hear back from them

Just spotted this place driving by to get my RV serviced. I was in and out within an hour and was able to watch as the mechanic work. Excellent service, great people to deal with. I can't comment on anything else but their truck maintenance side but I will definitely recommend this place to any RV that needs mechanical work. A+ work in my opinion.

Went in for an alignment 6 months ago after buying new tires. Well going into the new year and I have to buy two new tires after their alignment. Over at firestone now where there is a year warranty on the alignment. Should have just went to firestone in the fire place would have saved myself so much money. Never using a small town mechanic again. What a rip off. After civic auto sales in franklinville sent me over there... So no you wouldn't have a record of me but civic auto sales would.

Me and my wife were on vacation in the lovely state of New York, enjoying ourselves. While in Olean site seeing we blew a front brake line on our Jeep Unlimited. We called around and no one was able to help us. A call was made to J & R Auto, and they said yes get it we will get it in and get it fixed. They did and in a cost and time efficiency. While waiting we ran across the street to Dewey's and enjoyed a great sub sandwich.Off we went in our fixed Jeep back to the State Park where we were camping for the week. The next day our adventure continued and also our misadventures. While antique shopping our front wheel came off our Jeep due to the lug nuts came lose and off it came in the parking lot. Again we got ahold of our new friends at J & R Auto and they sent another one of their wonderful staff to assist us with their roll back. Once our Jeep was loaded, their driver drove us back to our motor home at the campground, he was a joy to spend time with boosting our down spirits on our ride together. The next morning we got up and broke camp and headed for J & R Auto. Again our Jeep was fixed in a timely and cost efficient manner. Also it was another chance to run across the street to Dewey's Deli for a great sub sandwich . We then settled up, hooked up our Jeep said goodbye to a group of new friends we made at J & R Auto and hit the trail. If I didn't live in Indiana and lived in Olean, J & R Auto would have all my Business .Thank you for all you did for us.Jeff & Marsha Y.Indiana .

Best car repair place in town, and the best place I have ever taken my car to get repaired. Trustworthy mechanics, and amazing customer service. I couldn't recommended this place more. If you have a car, have it serviced here.

They're a tad expensive, but no more than any other automotive facility. Plus, they have qualified diesel mechanics, AND they to RV repairs, and collision repair.. Highly recommend

J&R went above and beyond to get us financed and into a reliable vehicle for our large family as well as addressing and fixing and issue we had I would definitely recommend anyone go see them, very friendly and accommodating.

J&R autos sales personal was very helpful in getting my wife and I into are Chevrolet Silverado and Chevrolet uplander. And the service department is right there to help you out if there are any issues no questions asked.

Worst experience ever would recommend not going here. I went here and they suggested I put my 8 yr old son in the front seat of a car... will never go to this dealer ship again...

Have bought many cars from here the last two have been Lemons and J&R has not been helpful at all with fixing the problem when buying at first they will get right back to you when and if there is a problem afterwards they don't return your calls or message and if you ask for your money back like I did I had to take them to small claims court so I would not buy for Jim Beaton below this is a message I sent to Jim and the CEO John West because of the lasted deal I did with J&R and they still don't take my calls or message back so if you do buy be very careful of what you Do
