I recently purchased a 2022 Silverado from this dealership. It was a very nice experience. I dealt with Jordan Backus. He was a gentleman and straightforward. By far the best car buying experience I have ever had!

The entire team from reception to sales and service exceeded all expectations and made me feel at home during my buying experience. Pete recently sold me my 2020 Chevy Equinox. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and customer service oriented. He took the time to ensure I was comfortable with all details of the purchase (especially since it was my first purchase in New York), the operation of the vehicle, and also introduced me to Paul, the service manager, prior to my departure. Everyone I met or spoke to in passing from the dealership during the process was genuinely friendly and seem to enjoy what they do, which is a positive indicator of a really great business. It is clear that Mort Backus and Sons takes a lot of pride in their business and values their customers. They are the best possible representation GM could hope for in a dealership anywhere in the country. I will be recommending them to anyone I meet looking to purchase a car. After taking my vehicle to a different mechanic (closer to my home) and being charged for a repair only to have the problem persist the very next day I brought my vehicle to Mort Backus and Sons, where I purchased the vehicle, my vehicle was repaired within 24 hours. The service team provided top notch service. They were timely, communicative, and friendly. Thank you!

Mike got me scheduled on an urgent basis, got me in and got it fixed. My air conditioning clutch and compressor went up while I was 1,000 miles away. I called Mike and explained that we were going to be home for two days. Even though there was no room on the schedule, he got me in and the mechanics made the repairs. I am extremely pleased with the service that I always receive here.

I was able to drop vehicle off the night before, call to list my credit card on my file and pick up the finished vehicle after hours the next day. The receipt was in my vehicle. I am always pleased with the dealership. The employees I speak to on the phone are always professional and want to complete it my way. Tank you Mort Backus and Sons!!

Brandon makes buying a car almost too easy! He is quick with problem solving and his communication is wonderful! I m on my third car with Brandon and I ll be there for my car buying as long as he is! Not to mention all the friendly smiling additional staff at Mort Backus!

Had some body work done. Mort Backus took care of working with State Farm scheduled the repair and had it done in a day. Not only that they cleaned both the inside and outside of my truck. Looks like new. Mort Backus is a great dealership that ALWAYS puts the customer first. Nice Job!

Made an app- was taken in as soon as We got there. They came out shortly and told us what was wrong and they had the part in stock. Put the part on. We were on our way in no time. Service and personal were great. A pleasant experance. Thank you

I am always treated with dignity and respect. When going there for vehicle service, I always feel that I am getting honest reports on what needs to be done. Any Female can feel comfortable when getting service work done at Mort Backus, & sons.

They are pleasant and very accommodating . It is nice walking in and them knowing and greeting you right away. They are good at explaining things . Would not go any other place unless I was out of state and needed repairs done . Thanks Mort Backus and Sons.

I have been a customer of Mort Backus and Sons for over 40 years and have bought all my vehicles from them. I was hesitant to buy an SUV because I have always had just regular sedans. However, Pete from Mort Backus and Sons had me test drive my new Buick Encore GX and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I like it. Mort Backus and Sons have always provided me with excellent service, reliability, and friendship.

Mort Backus and Sons and Holly made a very difficult situation easier. My son is attending college in Canton, NY. He was driving home from the hospital and hit a deer. No injuries except the car and sadly the deer, my son is fine. I am at least six hours away which makes this even more difficult. Holly and everyone I spoke to at Mort Backus and Sons were so accommodating and caring it made being so far away easier. I pray I never need them again but I would definitely recommend them. Thank you all!!

Was outside viewing cars, and no salesman showed up. Usually, when I don't want one they are all over you like flys on stink. At least then I can let them know that I'm just looking. This time I was ignored.

Customer service top notch. Also the initial repairs time was quoted with lead time, so when actual work completed it was ahead of schedule & was welcoming news. Very pleased with this dealership & staff.

Mort backus has kept my 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche running like new! Just nearly reaching 85k miles. And after having a few bad run ins with small garages locally, I decided the only way was the dealership. They have treated me like family not just a number!! Super friendly, super helpful, and can always count on them from basic repairs to custom orders they are truly one of the best in the north country!! Thanks again from a very happy customer! I'm part of the maintenance company sent out to service GM brand signs. I've personally serviced and fixed every GM dealership's signs in New England and every dealership in the coastal states all the way down to South Carolina, and every state from Colorado to the west coast. Michael Backus is by far the kindest and most helpful owner I've ever had the pleasure of working on their signs. I live all the way in Illinois, but when I'm ready to look for a new car I'm definitely taking a road trip to his dealership. Hands down, Mort Backus and Sons is my favorite dealership in the country. TALK TO HIM BEFORE YOU LOOK ELSEWHERE. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

I was first introduced to Mort Backus and Sons by my wife's family. They always buy their vehicles from this dealership. I always assumed that a dealership was a dealership... And then I bought a car from Mort Backus.Excellent service, awesome and friendly staff, and they really go out of their way to treat customers correctly.
