Stayed here 2 nights while in the area for work. The location of the hotel was really convenient! But that's the only good thing. When I got to the hotel, it smelled of stale cigarettes. My room had food from whoever stayed last in the minifridge and desk. One of the unused (by me) washcloths in the bathroom had PUBES on it. The front desk lady was also quite rude. There were 3 different Wi-Fis to connect to, and none of them worked half the time.Overall, as a solo female traveler, I didn't feel super safe here. It was dirty and I felt the need to shower elsewhere since I was worried about smelling like cigarettes.Stay at the Red Roof down the road, much better in my opinion!

The front desk was nice. Didn t have the room I booked so upgraded. Kept me at the end away from pets. Nice big room and was clean. I ll give it that. I was actually shocked how clean it was. Close to all in Norwich. Lots of live ins however and DSS which kind of ruins it because they make the place smell (halls smell) and throw large bags of trash in the hall. Run all over. Some look like they are strung on meth and watch everything you do. Some characters there. Otherwise it would be better. Breakfast is not that. Just some lonely applesauce and coffee. I take it it s because the live ins would keep it for themselves.

Great value for the price, convince was great for what I needed. "Breakfast" included isn't much I'd plan for a real meal elsewhere TBH.Noteworthy details: Limited breakfast, and they go in your rooms while you're staying there for "cleaning" purposes. Made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

We were moving to Norwich, but the real estate attorneys couldn t get their act together and give us a firm closing date (they gave us three, two of which they told us they weren t ready for), so we didn t know how long we were going to stay. Travis was great in accommodating our unique situation. When my partner then lost his job and we didn t know what we were going to do, Travis helped immensely with our situation, offering to move us briefly so we could stay in the hotel until we decided what to do. We ultimately went back to IL, and he was gracious and canceled the last reservation for us (for the new room). He was very understanding and personable. Overall, not the best situation for staying in a hotel, but the best that we could expect from a hotel.

Shabby, smelly, minimal room accommodations, minimal room furnishings. Vinyl flooring. Desk but no nightstand or chair. Did not see an elevator or guest laundry. Vending was limited or broken in a shabby room. Breakfast consisted of coffee, water, snack bars, canned fruit. Hotel security doors did not positively latch, guest room door had missing deadbolt. Tub and sink both had drain problems. Staff was nice.

Very dirty behind the furniture that hadn't been moved when the room was cleaned. On my first night the toilet wouldnt flush and I was blatenly blamed for breaking it. Most employees were nice and friendly but it only takes one to make you feel uncomfortable. Because of that one employee, I have no plans of ever returning or having friends or family stay there when visiting.

Our room was clean. The staff at the front desk were polite, professional, and very competent. The lights, heat, TV, etc. all worked properly. The bathroom door would not lock when closed. And the "breakfast" is coffee and juice and a granola bar. The price was right though...under $100. Although I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place to a friend, I certainly would not tell them to avoid it either. Its budget friendly and clean.

I have NEVER ran out of a place faster than this place. I'm traveling for work and was looking for a cheap place. Found this hotel and thought it would be fine. First 10 minutes there, I was disgusted. People who weren't staying at the hotel were walking in and out and the receptionist was letting them by telling them "that this will be the only time". People who were very obviously not in a good place were hanging out on the lawn like it was a park. The lobby and entire hotel REEKED of cigarette smoke. I literally ran out of the place less than 30 minutes later. Seriously save your money and spend it somewhere else. Never have i felt so unsafe and grossed out at a place before.

It is an overall friendly motel, and it's kept clean and tidy! They were prompt an willing to change our room with an outside creature noise issue with NO issues! They also moved the recliner to that other room, which was going above and beyond . The fresh towel service was good and accommodating. The huge nature picture on the wall at the head of the bed brought a awesome sense of healing and peace of mind . Oh oh oh the iron board and iron provided was grand and their unlimited coffee was super!!!

Extremely disappointing experience. We have been going to this Super 8 for over 20 years and it seems like since Wyndham took over it has gone downhill. The "complimentary continental breakfast" was a fruit cup and granola bar. The vending machine was completely empty and "out of order". You could buy soda, chips or candy at the front desk. Limited water available and only at breakfast. Terrible, creaky old bed, stained and worn furniture, wall of room in disrepair. (Other examples too long to list.) Although there were no smoking signs, most of the building smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Way, way overpriced. We would rather drive a half hour and stay somewhere else when visiting family then go back to this Super 8.Rooms: In disrepair and shabby.

That whole building reeks of intense cigarette smoke. My room was so heavily scent sprayed it was sickening. It is also apparent they are now housing indigent families dogs included. The desk manager was very pleasant so I feel bad making this statement but I found a dog toy under the bed and the in room coffee maker was dirty. I will not be using this motel again.

I never leave Left an item in the hotel and was told by front desk that all items are thrown out now due to new policies. It was something simple but was a gift from a past friend and can t be replaced. Have stayed in many hotels and never heard of any policy like this.

Terrible place. Lobby smells like mold and stale cigarettes. The attendant was extremely rude and condescending with me and with a costumer over the phone while I waited. I called Red Rood while I had my family at the car in the parking lot, and upon hearing the story, they offered me a room 10 bucks cheaper since I am military. Super 8 didn t honoured my military discount.

Fantastic staff kept the place very clean and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was quite impressive, I was only expecting some toast and a muffin, but they had juice, cereal, tea, fruit, waffles, yogurt, toast, and coffee. I found it quiet and peaceful. There was a smell of cigarettes in the hall, but our non-smoking room was fine. For a cheaper hotel, this one really impressed me with the quality. This was a good value for the money, but it was a good stay regardless of the price. I do recommend it.

Does not deserve the one star. Stayed here previously and is even worse now. Room not cleaned or touched for 2 days, we stayed 5 night. Tried to find another hotel in the area, none had any available rooms. Room keys stopped working several times. I will be sending a formal letter to headquarters located in New Jersey. The photos attached are is just a sample.

The place was Ok, however, vending machines are out and they are not courteous enough to either give you water or at least sell you a bottle water. It s not a huge deal, but slightly inconvenient, and shows their unwillingness to accommodate and go above and beyond.

Spending some of 20th anniversary trip here! Very quiet! Ac works awesome in the room. Very clean when we arrived!! Wish they had pamphlets to all restaurants that delivered. Don't mind going out to eat anyways..not sure if anyone is roomed next to us or below us or across the hallway but can't hear anyone else, which we love it quiet! I would absolutely stay again!
