Keith is a great knowledgeable mechanic. He is friendly and very good at not only doing his work but in explaining what he plans to do before he services your vehicle. All this at a more then fair prices on parts and labor. Try some of the vegetables at the stand right next to the shop. Trust me, you will enjoy.

These guys are honest and reliable. They are vary knowledgeable about all things cars. They offer full service even down to inspection. They also have the most competitive rate in town at just 60 an hour. Or 80 an hour if you bring your own parts. I will not trust anyone else with my car. I had came in to have what I thought was a 400 dollar problem. All it was, my break caliber needed greese. I thought it was the wheel bearing. They could have gone ahead and fixed what I thought it was. They didn't, Keith came out and told me it was just some greese and the problem was solved. He could of replace the wheel bearing and CV but he didn't. He was 100% honest. I could not ask for a better service provider. 10/10 hands down. Highly recommend them! Wonderful people!

Fernette's has worked on three of my vehicles including putting a new engine in my Infiniti G35 Coupe, replacing the entire front axle and suspension components in my Ford F150 after my daughter crashed it, and today repaired the brakes in my Chevy Suburban with a new caliper and rotors. Their prices are fair, their work is top-notch, the staff is experienced and knowledgable, and they stand behind their work. I have zero complaints, these guys have always come-through for me with fair, honest service--even when they're slammed busy.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Engine repair, Brakes

This place is awesome. Stopped in for an oil change and they took care of it right away. The staff is super friendly and the great service. This will be my new regular place for oil changes. Will also be going for other services too. Brakes, tires, whatever I need. Thanks guys and gals.

Horrible services. Kept my car for 5 months then called me up to say they couldn't fix it and that I should come pick it up, "but don't worry because we did not charge you ". If the ratings system had a negative star that's what I would give them and they have earned. BUYER BEWARE!!!! Reviews on yelp also.

Helped a family of out-of-towners get back on the road when our car died far from home. Turned out we needed a new alternator which the folks at Fernette's sourced, picked up and installed for us right away. We feel like we were very lucky to break down near their shop and enthusiastically recommend them for all your auto repair needs.

These guys turned a nightmare into a positive experience. The nightmare was due to my vehicle being serviced at a different shop that did a horrible job, I took my vehicle to fermented and They treated me like they knew me for years. Great experience all around.

I was referred to Fernette's by Dr. Daves RV in Norwich....Daves does the coach, Fernette's works the mechanical/chassis. I have a 1992 Southwind dinosaur which broke down in Toronto with power steering/hydroboost issues....from what 4 other mechanics in 3 states(and Canada) told me. I managed to get a band-aid (still sounded ready to blow up) fix in Michigan and took it to Fernette's when I got back to Oneonta.Keith and the crew found a loose bolt on the alternator from an earlier water pump repair...and a loose steering pump also from the earlier repair.Keith hunted down the exact issue and corrected it without doing anything not needed or expensive. They gave the entire RV the once over and satisfied my need to feel secure about hitting the road long-term.Usually with an old RV, mechanics run....Keith got to work with a smile, and took care of my problem properly...quickly and inexpensively.Wherever in the country I'm traveling I'll try to limp back to Fernette's when I need work....finally someone I can trust.
