It's hurry up and wait with these guys. Dropped a bike off for mainly carb work and other small things... 2.5 months later it still wasn't running. I ended up just going and getting it because I was done dealing with the nonsense. Also would like to note that I waited a whole HOUR there just to pay my bill and get the bike out of their garage and loaded onto my truck. Something you'd figure should take a few minutes. Either way,I would not suggest or recommend them. Especially for shop work. I ended up dropping it off at a different shop that gave me a realistic time frame and said they wouldn't charge me unless it was fixed.

KTM 300 XC-W rider here. I'm from Ohio but was in the area and had some questions. Talked to Jason and a younger guy behind the counter (I don't remember his name, sorry dude). Really friendly guys, we ended up talking for a while. If I needed a bike, a repair, or parts I wouldn't hesitate to do business with these guys...... Tell them my offer to ride around abandoned WV coal mine land still stands.

Very nice and well set up shop. Substantial selection of parts, gear, and accessories. Super helpful and accommodating staff. They explained everything I needed to know about my new KTM.

1) I wanted a 2023 sea doo rxtx 300 PWC. 2) I must have called 8 different dealers to get the OUT THE DOOR PRICE with nothing but run around answers and BS. 3) I called ithaca rec at 3:30pm on a Friday and a girl named Amy answered. I said "I'm going to make this VERY easy...what is your out the door price? I don't have time for ANYTHING other than the OUT THE DOOR PRICE" She immediately gave me that number. 4) I hung up the phone, drove to ithaca rec, left with my rxt 300. Done by 6pm.....THATS HOW YOU DO BUSINESS!!! AWESOME JOB! YOU HAVE GAINED MY BUSINESS FOR YEARS TO COME!Sincerely, Joey Johnston.

Amy is awesome, she is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. If you've been there before you already know. Their website is very easy to use, has most everything you could need. Ordering is fast and easy. I would go there again and again.

Took my motorcycle there to have fixed, got it back a month after taking it in, broke down on the ride home, told to bring back in and they would make it right. Called multiple times and kept getting ignored, 6 months later went in person, owner asked what I needed and when I told her said she didn t know anything about that, and blew me off for a customer outside, mechanic told me he didn t have time to work on it bc he was busy on other customers. so paid over 700 bucks for a bike they didn t fix, and they also lost a part for the motorcycle. Accountability is poor. Communication is very poor.Not recommended for anyone. Staff needs to learn better basic customer service and customer care 101, and maybe some manners. I won t do any business with them nor refer business to them.

I go here twice a year for winterization and routine service. I can say that the folks at IRS has great technical knowledge and fantastic, reliable service. Highly recommended.

This has been my go to dealer ever since a bad experience at another dealer. They are always ready to help. They are very knowledgeable. Amy is the best. Everyone is always super nice. I highly recommend Ithaca Recreation Sports for all your outdoor power sports needs.

Awesome experience. I had a maintenance code on my RXT 300, Amy said bring it over, we ll take care of it. Without an appointment, one of the techs came out to the parking lot with his computer. A few minutes later we were on our way back home. Thanks again!!

Friendly service, great price!Update: It's been over a year since I've purchased my bike here. These folks are really good people. They always come through when I need service and advice. Consistently providing helpful information and encouraging me to attempt simple maintenance on my own to save money. They will walk me around my bike and explain steps when I pay for service so the next time I can try it myself but always up to the task if I'm not feeling confident in doing it on my own. This was my first bike and I've learned a lot from their great service. Already looking at my next purchase and no way will I go anywhere else.

I was in serious need of parts and service while on a road trip and these guys and gals really came through. They had the parts I needed and got me right in so that I could continue on my way home. Excellent service

Are the people here nice? Yes. Would I ever buy another machine here? NO!!! It takes months for parts to come in, new parts are scratched, brand new machine scratched. All their machines are left out in the weather, dirty with spider webs and mud inside and out. They don't even clean it up after you purchase one. Biggest mistake ever and I should of known better than to purchase here. Never again.

No inventory to look at. Facility needs a good cleaning. Drove 90 miles to them. Were there 4 years ago and very happy then so we returned. Disappointed this time

I no sooner got to Otisco lake for the weekend from out of town than I sucked up a stone into my SeaDoo impeller, damaging it to the point it couldn t be run. There were several other SeaDoo dealers closer to me and none of them would have been able to even look at it until long after I would have left to go home. The one in Cortland wouldn t even return my call. I called down to Ithaca Recreation and they said bring it in and when I arrived they told me they d get it fixed in 2 hours, which they did. I was back in the water an hour later. It was definitely worth the drive to get there. Wonderful service and good people.

I have been dealing with Ithaca Rec for 3 years. Have never received anything less than stellar service. I have purchased 3 bikes now from them, always finding the best price with them. I will absolutely do business with them again, and will recommend them to family and friends!

Really badThey had my waverunners for almost a year and it still wasn't fixed. They are really really bad at calling you back. They almost never do. I would never do business with them unless absolutely necessary. I don't know how they haven't gone out of business yet. Look elsewhere for your needs, or you'll regret it.

I have to respond to the "Google User" post about the jet ski boat. First, never buy a used jet boat with borrowed money! 2nd, Lower your expectations... it's a mom and pop business and they are doing the best they can to satisfy their very seasonal customers. Everybody wants their toys yesterday and these shops struggle to find and keep good help. Lastly... "Amy's bitchy"... you stand behind that counter fifty hours a week and see how it affects your disposition. Before defaming small business owners based on one experience, think twice... I've purchased and traded a jet ski, bought a trailer, had service done there and have always had a positive experience. Amy and Jeff are small business owners creating jobs, providing valuable service and fun products that make life more enjoyable. Take a deep breath and cut 'em some slack!

I have had great experiences with ithaca rec. They have treated my wife and I well. But recently I was let down on trading my bike in on a used bike they have. Was kinda treated like it wasnt going to happen or they didnt want to work with me from the begining. I believe it was handled negative to begin with. Than after over a week I was told no they dont want too. Which is completely fine, but I'm pretty sure they didnt in the begining. Unfortunately this disturbed me. I'm sure I'll still shop there but it will be minimal. I understand we live in hard times. But my time is as valuable as theirs. Now my dreams are crushed. But that's my problem.

They have had my Husqvarna mower more in the last year's for warranty work than I have! They just leave it instead of fixing it. I won't need it this year by the time it is repairedThey don't order parts. They don't call back. I am tired of excuses and poor business practices.

Came down from Syracuse to buy a pwc trailer. Amy got me plates and out the door in lightning speed! They were pretty busy too which is a sign that they know what they re doing. Very friendly and easy to deal with business, thank you! A+++

Email inquired about a bike I would like to buy, got a reply same day, too contact back in 3 weeks for info, now 5 weeks and not one reply back to several emails. Bad Bad business practices. Guess I am Going out of state to buy.
