We were traveling from NY to PA when our car started acting up (sputtering when trying to accelerate, check engine light started blinking). We looked up repair shops and were lucky to be within a mile of Riff & Sons. They quickly diagnosed the issue (spark plugs) and had us back on the road in 90 mins! Perfecinal they have a great attitude to customers even if their busy. They are honest and know what they are talking about. They are officially my mechanics moving forward.... valvoline cracked my oil pan during a basic oil change. I went to same valvoline for years and they wouldn't take ownership for what they did. I will never go to valvoline again.

I have brought every vehicle I own to Riff's for everything from a blown radiator to simple oil changes and maintenance. I trust Frank to do exactly what I ask as well as provide me with the best solutions when I encounter a problem. He's incredibly honest and straight forward. Frank has become my go to Guy! Very reasonable pricing. Honest. Gets it done quickly to keep it lower pricing. Keeps me apprised of what's going on with my vehicle and what I should have done "next time". "We'll keep an eye on the brake system, getting worn" type of thing. If he doesn't do the type of service needed, recommendations are offered. He came highly recommended by family in the area and I can understand why! Great place for my auto serving! Thank you Frank and crew.

Riffs came through for us in the middle of a real crisis. While moving cross country with three large dogs and a child, we managed to pump diesel into our gasoline Rav4 hybrid. Not the smartest thing we have ever done but, in the middle of a pandemic, it was just impossible to get anyone to help. I called a few repair places and even a Toyota dealership which was right down the road and absolutely no one would look at the car but they all told us to not turn the engine on. The Toyota dealership told us to have it towed to their lot, leave it there and they would get to in a day or two! Hybrids have to be towed on a flat bed so getting a tow truck was another issue.By the time I called Riffs, I was in an absolute panic. The dogs were fidgety, the child was in tears and everyone's anxiety was through the roof.Frank was just as calm as he could be about the whole thing. He told us which towing company to call and to have the car brought to him. This was already late in the afternoon and we were really worried about getting back on the road. He promised us he would get us back on the road and the car would be just fine. He worked on it late into the evening to flush out the tank and make sure it was ok and we could get back on the road that night. Even though we were an emergency appointment, showed up at the last minute and would not be return customers, he did not charge us very much at all.We don't live close enough for Riffs to be our go-to mechanic but, if we did, I would go to no one else for my car care. Frank has a heart of gold and a strong work ethic which is simply priceless.Service: Engine repair

I am new to the town of Newburgh was looking for a reliable and honest mechanic. Frank is truly a man of his words. I took him my car for rear calipers, brakes and rotors and inspection. Frankie had my car ready within 3 hours of drop off. The best part his prices are so fair. Riff and sons are my new mechanic shop.

Found our new mechanic. Very honest and fair prices. Will go nowhere else, and you shouldn't either. Refer people here. Installed a new fuel pump on our 2003 Pontiac Aztec and he switches my snow tires for Winter on my 2018 Ford Focus. Very pleased.

Only been going here a short time now but very impressed. Honest in business, and honest with interaction. Friendly people and will talk to you on the level you need, and I appreciate when someone is straight up, even if it's not what I necessarily want to hear.I had a car towed for a tire valve I couldnt fix myself and dropped off overnight. I called first thing the next morning. It was already fixed. Speedy! Pricing is extremly fair and they dont push "optional" work like some of the chains do.Only downside might be that if you have to wait on prem. for work I didnt really see a great waiting area, but maybe I missed it. Anyway, they are now my regular shop.

I've been to several places, and NO ONE is as professional and thorough as Frank and his team are. Once they fix your car it's fixed for good. They're honest and the price are fantastic!!!

Okay so my son is traveling through this state he breaks down on the interstate and a tow man pulls up behind him. The tow man recommended this place and they take care of him like he's a king and his dog may I add! The owner (Frank), has the part in stock and my son and his dog were back on the road in just a couple of hours!! Frank also checked the whole vehicle out before he was finished cause he knew he had a long trip ahead, and did notice a belt issue as well, and fixed it!!! The tow man and Frank, to me feels like they were sent from God himself!!! Thank yall so much for who yall are and what yall do. Yes I said "yall" it's a southern thing. I recommend this place for everyone!!!! O yeah and it was on the 4th of July weekend!!!

I randomly stopped here on a long drive home from Westchester to Rochester NY because it essentially felt like my entire car was going to break down. They immediately took a look at my tires and discovered one was LOOSE AND ABOUT TO FALL OFF! If I had kept driving on the highway, it wouldn't have been good. THANK YOU to these wonderful men who helped me right away and also didn't charge me a cent. The one gentleman who fixed my tired explained to me what had happened, how the loose tired had affected my breaks, and what I should have my mechanic do when I got home. They truly saved me, and I am so grateful.Service: Tires

I did not have a good experience with the welding quality at this shop. i brought a new muffler to be welded to my cars exhaust system. the initial installation did not hold i could hear the car getting louder. Brought it back had it done again no charge but it did not hold i put the car up and could feel exhaust on the top of the weld. finally i took the car to a competitor and they said it was 'muffler puddied".

The shop was great the prices was super reasonable . The only thing I can say that is not even negative is it took a while to get in but that is because the shop is in high demand. At the beginning it was fine. Diagnosed a bad transmission, paid over $6,000 to replace it. Only to have them program it incorrectly. Now it's at the Ford dealer having yet another new transmission installed, since programming it wrong caused damage to the new transmission. So far, been without the use of this car for almost a month. Total BS.
