I m not feeling like one star is even deserved. Glass America came out to my home three days ago to replace my windshield that had been cracked by a rock while I was driving on the highway. The gentleman that came was very friendly and very efficient and got the job done in a timely manner.Fast-forward three days, I pull in my garage and open my driver side door to get out of the car and, my rearview mirror falls onto my dashboard.I called Glass America and told them what happened and was told to bring the car to the shop at 3 PM to have it fixed. I explained to the woman that answered the phone that I did not feel comfortable driving my brand new car with no rearview mirror as it is not safe. She said that no one would be able to come out to my home until Monday.I then received a phone call from Calvin, the shop manager. He explained to me that I would need to come to the shop because he did not have a van and all of his supplies and tools were at the shop. To which I replied, can you grab what you need to fix it and please come to my home to put the mirror back up? He also told me that it was safe to drive even though I also expressed to him I was not comfortable with that. He then started to get pretty upset and told me that he was trying to help me. I was told it would have to be something that was covered under warranty, even though this windshield was replaced less than 72 hours ago. And then told me that Monday would be the earliest someone could get here.Glass America came very highly recommended to me. I m very disheartened by this experience. I would never bad mouth a business but will steer people clear of Glass America.

My installer Gary was awesome! He was on time and fast he knows what he is doing and also a jeep lover as I am myself !! I would recommend Gary for everyone's window needs!!!

Window was smashed randomly in a parking lot. Lots of places said they didn t have the part and weren t able to help me. Calvin gave me a good quote and had it fixed the very next day!Service: Auto side window replacementService: Auto side window replacement

Figure I would try this place after using other places over the yrs. Not sure if I have any leaks yet but if I do it will clean the mess they made inside/outside of my vehicle.

Terrible! Glass they put in had pink/magenta stripe all the way across tint when sun was overhead. Sent photos to them. They reluctantly agreed to replace, but guy said, "one more time, and then that's it!" like they're doing me a favor. Two very rude women working there, first one said some crazy things, second one just yammered over me and wouldn't let me talk. Guy told me if I went somewhere else, I would have to file another insurance claim (which wasn't true). Called my insurance, got an appointment with Safelite. Replaced there today, they said they never saw windshield tint that was done as wrong as Glass America and never saw that manufacturer before.Service: Auto windshield replacement

Beware!!! Would give 0 stars if able. They were recommended by dealer were I bought my Genesis new off lot. Paying out of pocket so no insurance BS to hold up install; They have canceled 3 appointments on day of install over the last month because they claim they forgot to order windshield. Today was final straw. Had to to drop extra $200 with national chain but got window.Service: Auto windshield replacement

Glass replacement was fantastic. Customer service was deplorable. 1st appt of the day. No one was there. I called the branch, no answer. Called corporate, they answered the phone, they also tried reaching the branch. When they could not reach anyone, they came back on the line and said they were going to try managers phone. Could I hold. They never came back on the line. Finally, a tech showed up 15minutes late. Could bring my vechile in, but could not start work until he had the paperwork. Had to wait for someone in the office.Two office personnel came in 20& 30 minutes late respectively. Did not acknowledge I was there, no apology was completely ignored.They just started working on computers.They acted more like a call center then customer service.They did get my paperwork back to the technician. 90 mins into a 60 min appointment, I asked about by vehicle, she got up, checked and said it would be another 30 mins.Long story short an hour appt turned into 2 hours. Time I lost from work. At least the technician was able to reattach my registration and inspection sticker.Would I use glass america again. Probably. I would never use this branch agian though.

Better than $100 savings over the national company for at-home service. Tech called early in the morning to let me know a 2-hour window when I could expect him, and he was here promptly at the top of the hour.Quick, clean work. Do not use! Glass America failed to properly fix my windshield twice. Calvin is unprofessional and rude. He laughed at me when he could not fix my car saying he was paid (insurance claim), he didn t care, and told me it was my responsibility to take my car to the dealership to complete repair. He also told me that I had to lay out the money to the dealership that it would not be part of the claim that he messed up.Poor customer service. I still do not understand why every other windshield replacement company will come to you except Glass America. Do not use unless you want to be inconvenienced, laughed at by Calvin, scammed out of money, and left with an unfinished job. Very disappointed.Service: Auto windshield replacement

I used their services twice now over the course of a year. Both times they sent Gary who is peak professional. The second time Gary made me aware of a issue with the replacement that the shop lighting did not show. We rescheduled for another date. That date a local window tint place was late, he made it work outside of the original arrangement. My Chrystler 300 looks great, and I'm happy with my experience.Service: Auto windshield replacement

My technician was Mark, and he was incredible. Very friendly, sweet, explained everything, and also followed social distancing protocols with staying 6 feet away when handling the transaction. 10/10 would recommend :) thank you all very much.

Best price. The company tells you what time the technician will be there and what his name is. Gary showed up on time. He was courteous and professional and he completed the job even faster than the estimated time.

This place has amazing customer service. Calvin took care of everything, he is the best. My windshield was replaced as quickly as possible so that I could get to work. I can honestly say it was money well spent.

This team was flawless. LeAnn in office was beyond helpful. I broke a back windshield and the temperature was dropping that day. Dan the technician came out same day and worked in the cold to help me. Did a wonderful job. I appreciate all you did for me. Thank you.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS AWFUL PLACE!!!I had a crack in my front windshield after a storm and through my insurance company I contacted Glass America to repair the window.After several reschedule appointments due to the winter weather--- Glass America came to replace the shield on a Saturday morning. After removing the old shield glass and replacing with a new shield-THE TECH CRACKED MY NEW shield that was placed on my car. He assured me that the small crack could be repaired and that he would return the following weekend to repair it. After letting the car sit for an hour--per the technician's suggestion I proceed to drive my vehicle. The crack started to expand--at which point the vehicle had to be parked indefinitely. The technician assured me that this "never happens" and that he would return the following Saturday to replace the glass.FOUR WEEKS LATER...after several attempts on my end to have the crack repaired Glass America scheduled an appointment on 3/2 to repair the wind shield. I scheduled my appointment for 12:30p when I would be home. When I arrived to my residence I was surprised to see that the window had been worked on--WITHOUT ME BEING PRESENCE as I had requested. Not only had Glass America ILLEGALLY entered my vehicle--they damaged the seal around my wind shield and left a copious mount of snow inside my UNLOCKED vehicle which is parked on the street.They have now scheduled YET ANOTHER appointment to come fix the seal--to which they also claimed this type of damage "never happens". IT HAS NOW BEEN 6 WEEKS and my vehicle is still not repaired. This is the absolute worst glass repair business in the area. They refuse to acknowledge the inconvenience they have caused & every time I call to speak to the manager they are conveniently not available.

I read some of the reviews here and wonder if this is the same company they are talking about. They were professional, courteous, the price was right and the whole thing could not have been handled any better...and they repaired or replaced 3 windshields this past winter. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Tech came to do my windshield replacement and did a good job other then the inspection sticker. I must have gotten pulled over 5-6 times because the sticker looked fake after the guy just ripped it off without heating it up

Had a chip in my windshield. Glass American of Newburgh, NY came out to service.The two technicians did not put anything on the fender to protect the car from scratches. They spent 5 minutes on the repair and when completed, it looked the same. They seem more concerned with getting the work done fast, than with quality of the repair.. I realize that you will always see a chip scar, but this was the worst repair I ever had done. Plus the techs failed to give me my paper work. When I called the Newburgh office, the woman was sarcastic and did not email me the paperwork. I have had good experiences with Glass America in the past. However, I would never recommend the Newburgh, NY location.
