Bought a truck from them a week ago great people to work with. Gave me fair trade in on my car and have had great interactions with them since. Highly recommended looking to them for a veichel or other services if needed. They stand behind what they sell.

Trevor was great. I saw the car through a Facebook listing and he was very good with communication about a car I was interested in. he assisted me with pictures and videos of the car since I was coming in from out of state to buy it. he accommodated requests about particular areas of the car I was concerned with, and I felt so confident with the purchase of the car that I gave him a deposit, and took multiple buses overnight and bought the car on the spot when I showed up, and drove it 400 miles home. everything was as advertised and no surprises. great little shop that has been in business for over 50 years!! if you are an enthusiast as well, it's great to know that Trevor (and Frank)! both have track experience and can speak from that.

We purchased a 2002 Toyota 4 Runner a few weeks prior to Christmas and have unfortunately had nothing but problems with it. The ABS and power brake lights all came on while driving the car home. We live 2 hours from Montour Falls. We contacted Trevor via text message with the concerns. A method he was very responsive to while trying to sell us this vehicle. He said to take it to our mechanic to have it looked at who told us the wires were bare and showing and had been like that for some time which was tripping all of the sensor lights. Upon further inspection by our mechanic, the front brake pads were noted to be metal to metal as well. It was also noted that the rear shock mounts had completely rusted through and were no longer supporting the weight of the vehicle. This vehicle should never have passed inspection at HIS repair shop/dealership. Numerous attempts have been made to make contact with Trevor (calling, texting, email and messenger) regarding these concerns and he he has not responded to any of them. After waiting 2 weeks for a response, and advisement from our lawyer, we will be moving forward with the BBB, NYS inspection fraud claims in an attempt to make this right. $8000 for a vehicle that isn t drive able and was illegally inspected is hard to swallow. We work really hard for our money, as most do, and this situation has been very upsetting. We had high hopes he would do the right thing, but we are done holding our breath. Buyers Beware!

Our car broke down along Route 14 just about a week ago. I called Frank instead of a tow truck and he sent his son Trevor and his mechanic to come help us. They were there in less than 20 minutes. Trevor charged the battery and tested the alternator, which was bad. While we were still there on the side of the road, he called and ordered a new one. They followed us to the garage and they took our car into the service area almost immediately. The new part was there in less than 30 minutes and we were out of there 2 hours after we broke down. This is the second time that Frank and Trevor have helped us. Last March our car was making an awful noise so we stopped at Frank's. He and Trevor were just leaving but they stayed to help us at no charge.

All that I can say is just WOW! I just recently had my 17 Discovery Sport serviced by Frank s Automotive, and from the very moment of my initial contact I was impressed and walking into this establishment, and being treated as a customer, I couldn t have been happier! I will definitely have my vehicle serviced here without hesitation. I m a very satisfied customer!

I took my 2014 Chevy Silverado to Frank after being recommended by a friend. Maguire Chevrolet wanted $6200 to rebuild my transmission. Frank rebuilt it and saved me $2000. Work was done in a reasonable amount of time and is warranteed for 20,000 miles. Frank is also a Christian and, when he found out I'm a cancer patient, he prayed for me. Wonderful man and a great businessman.

Frank and Trevor went out of their way to help me and my family with a quality used car when we were in a tight spot because of a family move out of the area. Outstanding people and outstanding mechanics. They know their stuff and they act with integrity. I could not be happier with their service.

Very attentive to my needs. I am disabled and have gotten my work done here for the past year. If I need air in a tire they're always happy to help me. I could do it myself, but it would be quite a struggle. These guys are great!

Frank's Automotive is run by Frank Smalley and his son Trevor. I have used their services to maintain and repair my track cars over the last few years. The fact that Frank is an old school racer and Trevor is himself a track enthusiast explain why they not only have regular car mechanic expertise but also expertise with race cars and other track cars. Track cars live hard and take tremendous punishment and Frank and Trevor have always come through for me. But their expertise is not the only reason why I frequent their business. They are both honest and trustworthy and they treat their customers like friends. They go out of their way to help their customers. It is typical of them to give you a lift home if you need a ride back home while your car is being serviced and they are not otherwise swamped with work. As long as Frank and Trevor own the shop, I will continue to be a loyal customer.

Ok so, I understand that Mr.Smalley was trying to do the right thing, but some people cant afford to drive around in a brand new car. I went there to get my 2001 altima inspected and he told me basically its rusted beyond repair. This is Ny its gonna get rusted, its an old car. So is he failing all old cars? Is he just trying to get people to buy his cars? I dont know but if you have an older car with rust, I wouldn t recommend them!!! ( FYI: Anybody else would have passed it) Its my choice if I want to drive a car I know is rusted. It should always be my choice thats why I hate ny state. I miss GA

Great selection of cars. I drove 3 hours to Montour Falls to get my dream car, my evo 8. Trevor held my car for me until I could come up with the rest of the cash to buy it. Frank and Trevor are awesome people and I d recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a Dodge Ram from Trevor, I was told the vehicle is in great working condition, after having the truck for 25 days it blew the Crank shaft sending the part through the bottom of the oil pan, I'm having to spend $8000 for a brand new engine, Frank Automotive is not willing to meet me any where for the cost of the repairs. Currently I'm Filing a claim with Better Business Bureau, they stated this is a purchase that's worth getting a lawyer, I have found a attorney and getting all my documents together to proceed with court. Be very careful if your planning on purchasing a car with Frank's Automotive make sure you have a license Mechanic inspect the vehicle. They Will Not Stand behind there vehicles after sold...

highly recommend these gentlemen. Absolute professionals. Great work done for a very reasonable price. I will take any and all vehicles I own to Frank and Trevor. These guys and the gentlemen doing work behind the scenes are great people with your safety mind at all times.

Took my car to other transmission shop in Horseheads & after having my car for 5 months, they said it couldn't be fixed. We took it to Frank's, & he & trevor accepted the challenge. Car is fixed & runs beautifully. Highly recommend.

NEVER going back here. They said my car shouldn t have passed inspection and that it s not worth the money to try and fix what s wrong with it. Went there for an estimate on a gas tank and they unwillingly did a whole diagnosis on my vehicle and charged me $52. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Let me start off by saying this was an amazing experience. I love in Victor Ny and I drove about a hour and 35 mins to get to this guy because my best friend recommended him. He did an amazing job! If I ever need anything done to my car again... You bet I m driving that Hour and 35 mins again. Thanks again guys!!!!

Had a head gasket replaced, it appears they could not get a good seal so they filled up radiator with stop leak. Blew my engine 2 weeks later. If you like you car STAY AWAY.

Took my car there to have key programmed they couldn t do it but they tore the center console apart broke the overhead lights and sunroof switch housing broke the window so it won t work never take anything there butchers

I had a broken hitch on my truck This past weekend at Watkins Glen, They repaired the hitch and put a new leaf Spring hanger on my truck so I could make it back to Pennsylvania. And I really appreciate it!

They are not honest people and do not do good work on cars they sell. They tell you a bunch of lies about the cars they're selling you and the work they'll do for you. They call themselves Christians to lure your business but are wolves in sheep's clothing. Stay away from this place, please...

Wow, just sold a car out from under me. Trevor was supposed to let me test drive the car tonight. When i called to make sure, he told me he sold it. I would never give them my business after that.
