The location beautiful, room, Staff great! But I paid to have yoga/meditation morning and late afternoon on Sunday they had nothing at all. That was my only full day that I could fully take advantage since Monday s they only offer yoga and meditation during the day. check in is at 3 pm so Saturday by the time i settled in i was only able to attend meditation which instructor was great. The other issue is the dining room i sat 1 breakfast and a dinner in the restaurant it was physically painful to sit in the cold. The small heaters didn t help. I had to eat in the room to stay warm and not tense up. Spa charges are expensive with 18% fee. Hallways were also cold especially after a massage. Or mud therapy after you are done you have to walk in the cold to wash yourself off. I came back with the sniffles, i enjoyed my stay but I didn t get everything i paid for. The sniffle is something i could do without. Especially that i stood indoors to avoid the cold winds and snow.

I had a lovely stay at YO1 Longevity and Health Resort. It provided for a relaxing, reflective atmosphere where you can really reconnect with your self and work on your health and wellness. The facilities were gorgeous, super spacious, and the staff was very kind and welcoming. As a non-vegan, I would have loved at least one meat option for dinner, as the evening I dined in the restaurant the menu did not have one, however... I tried non-chicken chicken breast for the first time and I have to say, it was really quite good! Overall it was a great experience and I'd recommend it for anyone looking to focus on themselves and their general well-being, both mental, spiritual and physical.

This place is awesome! With yoga every morning, delicious food, and a steam shower in our room, we loved this peaceful retreat! It s our second time back here. The staff was overall great, a big shoutout to Michael at the reception helping us with any obstacles we encountered! They also have a huge game room & a sauna we appreciated! The nature walk alongside the frozen lake was a great way to spend an hour outdoors in the woods. Thanks for the stay

We stayed at YO1 for the weekend for the wellness retreat and loved our experience! The location of this place is between the mountains, each room offers lake view, facility is completely clean and have taken care of every single details for you! We had booked Introductory wellness package, which included a massage and hydrotherapy/mud therapy for each day, healthy/vegan breakfast, lunch and dinner, fresh juice for the afternoon, and variety of yoga classes. The facility offers sauna, steam room, swimming pools, game room and lot more! The yoga instructors, massage therapists, restaurant staffs, and front desk staff, all are super friendly, courteous and accomdating to your request. Especially Susanna the front desk manage made our day with helping us with last minute request to switch out therapy! We enjoyed our stay and it was rejuvenating experience! I highly recommend this place! We would def. be back soon! Thank you YO1!

Had a fun weekend escape for my birthday spent Sunday/Monday with check out on Tuesday! I love the grounds as all the views were breathtaking. I had a few services done including Ayurvedic treatments. The vegan food was amazing & a big shout out to Michael at the front desk & Robert in the restaurant! All the staff were friendly & attentive to all of our needs! I recommend the salt scrub as it left my body feeling so relaxed & soft! I also love, love, love the heated jetted whirlpool in the swimming pool area. We meditated in the meditation & prana rooms & played sound bowls in the activity area of the wellness areas on the ground floor. Our stay was short & the weather was cold for early March but the experience was nice. I recommend asking about tax & gratuity for any of the services so you won t be startled at the end by the bill. The best feature for me by far was the heated toilet seat in our double king room overlooking Bailey s lake! Love it Rooms: Our double king room on the 4th floor had a nice view & also the heated toilet seat was big! The gigantic shower was also a plus & the grounds & hotel itself was very walkable! The internet wasn t great & kept dropping but the room was very nice!

I did the 3 nights wellness package which is excellent. From arrival experience to initial consultation, the treatments, room, etc everything was exceptional. As a first timer to a wellness & holistic resort it was difficult to imagine it in advance. Of course one needs to make an effort to fit in, to do the necessary detox, to go to some of the free classes they have in meditation, yoga, firtness etc, and even after 3 days it felt like the reset button had been pressed. The staff were all wonderful, kind and helpful and the food very healthy but you can choose how much vegan you want to go as there are choices for food. For a health conscious and healthy food loving person, this place was simply everything I could dream of! I loved every dish and there was so much choice for me!It is an outstanding beautiful resort with excellent service, food, accommodation and wellness, fitness and other facilities.

Amazing experience! The grounds are so peaceful and the resort is huge with everything you could imagine to support your well being. I spent three days here and took advantage of the yoga, the meditation, the gong, the nature trails, steam bath, sauna, spa, pool, jacuzzi, gym, theatre and amazing vegan restaurant. I am not a big vegan person but had it not said it on the menu I would have never known. The food was delicious, healthy and a nice variety. Every staff member I encountered was very friendly and helpful from the moment arrived and throughout my stay. I highly recommend staying here and be sure to explore the entire property. I ve never been to a wellness spa and this was truly a wonderful experience. I planned on staying only two nights and ended up booking an extra night. I spent more than expected but it was well worth it and next time I come I will do things slightly different but no regrets. I felt pampered and like a new person when I left.Rooms: Luxury, comfortable and amazing views. Bidet, steam shower, large rooms, comfortable bed and balcony overlooking the lake.Safety: The property is gated guarded and parking is close.Food & drinks: The chef prepares breakfast lunch and dinner menus that offer a choice between 3 entrees, soup and salad and dessert. The food was delicious.Noteworthy details: The property is located in a beautiful area with amazing views. Nature all around. Huge wellness center with multiple treatments. Book treatments ahead of time, they fill up. When I arrived they had some rain and they were in the process of repairing a few areas but this did not interfere with my experience. This facility is truly amazing.

Really loved everything about this place. For the same price as what a budget hotel in Manhattan would cost, I had a beautiful giant king room overlooking the lake that included yoga, meditation, and breakfast. I took a couple nights away from home to write and was truly able to relax. Met a lovely woman there with whom I had interesting chats. Did a great gong meditation. Mid week in the off season is not busy at all and I really appreciated the space to just be. The staff was super friendly and helpful. You can utilize the meditation rooms whenever. The pool, hot tub, and sauna are beautiful. There is a giant lounge room with a waterfall and an activity room with games to play. There are a ton of a la carte treatments you can purchase like massage and hydrotherapy. (Make sure to book those in advance.) And there s always an abundance of tea and coffee. The value of this place is really amazing, especially in the winter/spring. If you re looking for some peace and a little unpretentious luxury, I highly recommend making a reservation.Rooms: Giant rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, comfortable lounge furniture. Amazing rainwater shower with bench. Towel heater. Robes provided. Bidet.

Room was extremely spacious, with a bidet, separate huge shower and a beautiful view. Really good buffet style breakfast and vegetarian lunch and dinner. Wish they had more variety for the lunch and dinner but overall good food. Had a Swedish and Hot Stone massage. Both were good but the hot stone was the best! Wish it wouldn t have been interrupted by a fire alarm but I was compensated by the wellness center with a mud wrap that was awesome. The biggest critique about this place for me is that it s huge with not enough staff to show you around. You can get lost easily! Also, some of the hotel needs upkeep. The mediation was great. You get a lot for the price. Would visit again. Was a relaxing experience.

My first trip was in June 2023 and I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Although looking at pictures on the site and online it really is lovelier in person. Welcoming staff, nicely appointed rooms, spa services were great! Dining room staff and food was great as well!My only drawback was location, although beautiful grounds, the location is quite remote whereby one can only drive to get there. It would be nice if a shuttle service from NYC or the nearest train (Metro North) to transport guests would be fantastic! Guest would definitely pay and come more often! I certainly use it because I am not always up for the drive.

For a place that s supposed to be about chill and relaxation, their reservations manager is the least chill person. My wife and I booked a night during a slow fall weekend. I ended up both throwing my back out and also catching a horrible stomach bug that left me entirely bed ridden. I had called the hotel beforehand and let them know. I was told they oftentimes will credit back the room to be used 3 months in the future. The reservation manager never picked up after I was forwarded, so I called back later. She leaves at 2pm. I was told to call back the next day between 10-2. She didn t reply again. Sent a follow up email only to hear that they were not honoring the 3 month credit I was told about, and that I was in explicit breach of their policy. I offered to show a doctor s note to prove what had happened, no reply. My wife and I had been there before - we do a fall retreat weekend for yoga, sauna/steam, etc. I told them we are annual customers and that if they weren t going to honor what they told me we d never be back. They did not reply. We were technically within a few hours of their cancellation policy. That s fine, but the policy protects you from people deciding not to show for whatever reason. And you can t tell a customer that they ll be getting a 3 month credit and then not issue it. We would have spent more on the property on food, message treatment, etc. Plus we d have planned to be back each year. What kind of business decision is that? And I ll also mention the first time we went - tons to like about it, but there were a lot of things not working / out of service. It felt like they were going under, and it seems that they may be given the above.Bottom line: they only care about their bottom line. I ve been to Marriott Courtyards that would honor things like this. Pretty sad and we will find a new place - there are many in the area and I suggest you do as well unless you want to business with these types of people.

My experience here was fair, nothing about this stay stands out as spectacular except for the beautiful NY landscape. I read reviews stating that for the price, past patrons were hoping to be swept away by Yo1, and I would agree that this experience left me wanting more - or wishing I had spent the money elsewhere.I went big - going for the full package that includes all meals, two daily therapies and the Dosha reading. I'll do my best to provide insight on all - from my experience. The room - (added) the room was nicer than the average 4 star stay, it felt private, modernly-minimalistic and the walls seemed thick. However there was a huge water stain that seemed to be actively worsening right outside my door. The smell was intolerable. I asked the staff about the issue and was politely shuffled away. I would say that for the price of the stay you should push for a better experience than what I settled for.The Food - I enjoyed Yo1 s solid execution of a plant based menu! I loved the staff in the dining area as well - they were so sweet, treated each patron well and did not hesitate to provide great service. The ingredients were fresh and menu options varied so even those who were just trying veganism during their stay could enjoy it. I will say that the Indian dishes that were available seemed to lack any sort of traditional taste - which was strange, but might have been done so more people could enjoy. If you asked me if I d go back for the food - I d say no, but it was fresh and healthy and that s pretty great considering Yo1's goal.Daily Therapies - The staff here is amenable and kind - you'll have no trouble asking for support or help if needed. But something that one of service providers said to me stuck out and I want to share it here too - "I love what I do here, but it's just a check - and really those who care in this profession do not want to see a client for 1 or 2 sessions and then never again, you cannot gain enough momentum in a wellness journey from that." Now, I m a bit of an over-thinker (hence this mighty review) and had similar sentiments in my mind as I tried to get the absolute most out of what I had paid for - to have a staff member say this made the rest of my therapies feel like a wasted indulgence. That being said, my biggest lesson learned for this stay was that: if you are going to any resort hoping to experience intrinsic change - you may have a better and more rewarding experience investing in a continuous relationship with a local practice. The Location - No one in their right mind can deny the beauty of upstate New York in early fall. The wellness center sits in a nice plot of land featuring a lake view, lots of geese and small paved trail. My issue here is that they actively promotes this idea of walking the trails, but in reality you can maybe stetch the walk to about an hour before you've made several loops including around the parking lot. As a hiker I would say if you want spend a day in nature go to a nearby state park. The Dosha Reading - This service is highly promoted on Yo1 s site and was the reason I ended up booking my stay. Here s what I can say - you will learn some really helpful information that challenges the Western way of thinking about healthy living, but it s all coming at you in a 30-ish minute session. My service provider was knowledgeable and passionate about the information provided and honestly I would have loved the opportunity to work more with them during my stay. All in all Yo1 s got something going here - it s just not exactly what I was hoping for. It s more of an experience than a place to truly focus on one s wellness. But I say this as someone who did not come here to simply get away - I was hoping to really throw some gasoline onto the fire of my wellness goals. With a lovely set-up and wonderful staff Yo1 could really do some meaningful work but, in my opinion, is settling at the surface of wellness provision and has not hit its true depths yet.Rooms: The room - (added) the room was nicer than the average 4 star stay, it felt private, modernly-minimalistic and the walls seemed thick. Just wanted to share my recent getaway at YO1 Catskills what an experience! It's more than just a wellness retreat; it's like stumbling upon a hidden gem in the Catskill Mountains. The yoga and meditation sessions were a game-changer. The instructors created an atmosphere that made me forget I was a total newbie. It felt like a genuine journey of self-discovery, and I left with a sense of calm I didn't know I needed. Now, let's talk about the spa pure bliss. I lost track of time in the tranquil surroundings, and it was exactly what my tired mind and body needed. Oh, and the food every meal was a taste adventure. YO1 Catskills isn't just a place; it's an escape. If you're looking for something beyond the usual, I'd say give it a shot. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and genuinely grateful for the experience.

I am still here at this resort and I am SHOCKED by the good reviews on this site. They must be bots because there is no way that a luxury resort could deteriorate in service so quickly.Maybe there is new management? New owner? I get it that covid has been really hard. But do not mislead customers with false marketing claims.Of the things we are experiencing -1) dirty linens and robes in the room still in the dressers from previous guests.2) no housekeeping service for hotel rooms. No one has come in to make a bed or anything. I don t expect turndown service but I do expect towels to be refreshed for a group of four people staying multiple nights and trash taken out. There is no sign about eco-friendly service which I am totally all for. But communicate with your guests!3) one of the massages that we booked is called Abhyangam and it is marketed with a video of a 4-hand massage, ie two people massaging the client in homage to an Indian Abhyangam massage. My sister has been to India and had such a massage. The masseuse told her yeah we used to do that in the beginning when we first opened but now we don t have enough staff. And when we ask the wellness coordinator, he tells us that nowhere on the website does it say it is a four-hand massage. It s only on the video. Which is a video EXPLAINING the massage. This is a $200 massage for 50 min. One of the most expensive on the menu. This is absolutely misleading.4) we were not onboarded by anyone. We were just given a folder that contained misleading information. Wrong yoga times, and we were given a kosher menu that included all types of meat on it (just to say, we don t keep kosher and we never intimated that we were) with no other menus. This is supposed to be a plant-based menu and when we inquired in the dining room, the waiter said those are frozen meals only for kosher guests and they really aren t very good anyway. And it turns out that you have to be taught how to turn on the steam room and the jacuzzi and sauna because there is no attendant to do so. And that also means no attendant to clean up periodically during the day in those places, as is customary, so there is gross hair in different places from one day to the next and all of the women s locker room showers have no hot water. We tried three.I can go on. It s been crazy. This is a gorgeous property that is being left to fall apart (water damage on ceilings, missing buttons for the elevator so you literally have to touch an electric panel to go up to your room, etc). The jacuzzi was finally on one night and that was lovely. The vegetarian/ vegan food has also been good.We didn t leave because this trip was for a friend who will be getting a bone marrow transplant in a few weeks. This is the last time she will be able to get away for months, and she was so excited to come back to this place. This is still a gorgeous property. But was this worth the money that we paid for it? No. Absolutely not.In short - DO NOT GO HERE. it will only get worse because no one is really taking care of it. It s such a shame.Ps I don t expect anyone will respond to this review. They don t know how to. When I went to the desk to talk about the massage issue, the manager Susanna did the best she could, but they actually have no way to handle these complaints, nor the volume of them. We were the FOURTH guest this weekend to complain (that we know of, and we know because we all found each other looking baffled at what we were experiencing). She offered us merchandise from the store, or to personally give her discount next time we visited. But the point is this staff KNOWS this is not up to par or even close to what is advertised on the website. Thanks for listening. I hope I saved someone the hassle of going all the way there if you think the marketing and advertising is true. Maybe it was at one point. David Hayes (the general manager) should be ashamed of himself making this skeletal staff try to handle this huge hotel without the proper training and experience.Noteworthy details: This is NOT the luxury experience that the website says it will be. There is hardly any staff and marketing is misleading. We asked for a hair dryer (that wasn t in the room) and the guy at the desk said verbatim shit, sorry there is no one here to get it for you. It will have to be tomorrow. At least he was honest!

I went to YO1 a broken person and left there feeling like a new happy and content person! A truly special retreat that will change your life! The retreat has a very special energy about the place and it s very comforting. A place you can feel vulnerable and be ok with it. A place to make great friends over the community table at dinner. Every single staff member was truly amazing. They all take time to learn your name and room number even if it s the first time you have come across that staff member. The service is 5 star and more. If you want a place to reset your mind and body then this is the pave for you! As soon as you arrive it feels like they have wrapped you in huge safety blanket and are ready to heal you and take care of you. Thank you everyone at YO1. I will be back next year and every year after that

YO1 is like a little piece of heaven. The grounds are in a beautiful location and are immaculately maintained. The staff are extremely friendly and very well trained in what they do. I felt thoroughly taken care of. The therapies offered are luxurious and efficient with a huge range to choose from. The food is absolutely amazing and so healthy. The food is seriously incredible, better than many restaurants in Catskills where I live and the wait staff are so friendly and attentive. The daily activities on offer outside your own package are well thought out and cater to everybody, even if you ve never tried meditation or yoga. There is no other place I ve found in the world that makes me feel so utterly relaxed, rejuvenated and complete, ready to face the reality of city living and all it s stresses again. Thank you to all the amazing staff, management and practitioners at YO1. It is truly a life changing mind, body, soul experience. The offer full board packages. You don t need to get out of the resort. You will live few days elegantly. I was on the Restorative Package Retreat and have to say that it was fantastic. Beyond expectations, life changing. The mentors were great and very knowledgable. The resort is beautiful, food was awesome, staff super friendly. Felt very safe. If you have the money, go! They are expensive but luxurious offerings you will make the most of your stay.

My recent, July 2023, visit to YO1 was my first and it was a great experience.I was surprised by the incredible natural beauty on offer at YO1 and their lush green setting were a real highlight. Stunning! The healthy food was absolutely delicious. Every dish exceeded expectation!Staff were all so warm and caring and seemed genuinely proud to work at YO1 and keen to ensure guests had a wonderful stay.Accommodation is comfortable and spacious and the pool offer great alternative spots to relax/read between therapies and exercise etc. The morning yoga pavilion offered a beautiful setting and lovely breeze.A mix of indulgent relaxation treatments, time to do very little and enjoy the stunning setting and warm weather, and some exercise/therapies is my recommendation for the perfect stay here. It's a retreat rather than a pure holiday, so best to come here ready to invest in your health and wellness.Would absolutely recommend a stay here if you are after a beautiful health retreat, to relax and eat well. It wouldn't be the perfect spot to stay for someone not aware of this,I hope to return and sample more treatments here.

Absolutely outstanding! I opted for their Pain Management and Restorative Package, which eased all my pain and discomfort and made me feel refreshed from within. The ambiance looked world-class so it was awesome. The staff were most knowledgeable and helpful. Their huge pool is very clean and hygienic. The conscious cuisine is well-presented, delicious and totally vegan too. Overall outstanding so would definitely recommend to visit at least once!

I have never written a review in my life but feel it is important to warn people NOT to stay here, this is a scam and a huge waste of time and money. I had looked into a few wellness focused places and called YO1 three times to ensure I understood what the place was about food options, classes, facilities, and so on. When I signed up, I purposely did not go for a package as I don t typically eat three full meals a day, and confirmed with the person I spoke to that there were meditation/yoga classes every day, which is the main reason I was going. I also confirmed that I could order a la carte at the restaurant, and the person I spoke with also went on and on about how there is a juice bar, caf, and places I could get food since I wasn t doing the package. It became clear from the moment I stepped into the resort that the hotel was not as advertised. It was run down, dingy, and only one person at the main desk who didn t seem to know much about the place. Once I arrived at my room, I noticed the furniture had stains on it. I immediately went to the front desk and asked if I could speak to a manager and they told me that someone would get in touch later. I told them I wanted to check out the next morning and would have left earlier but needed to arrange transportation. I also told the spa I wasn t planning on staying but they said I hadn t canceled my massage 24 hours in advance so they would charge me anyway, and that I had no options. I was still trying to make the best of it and went to the restaurant where they informed me I was not able to order a la carte, and would have to pay $50-60 for lunch/dinner if I wanted to eat there. On top of that, the juice bar and caf weren t even open. The person I booked with knew I was coming on weekdays and still told me I could order a la carte, and there were plenty of food options on site. This was not true and I ended up having to get delivery. I was so disappointed by the experience and just ready to leave, but thought I would at least try one meditation class before I left on Tues. When I got there, there was no class. An employee who told me guests get upset because they advertise a ton of things on the site that they don t really offer, such as classes. Once I realized this is a reoccurring issue, I realized the management doesn t care about customers and really is just doing whatever they can to charge your credit card as much as they can. I was not able to do a single class in the one day/night I was there and once I realized the class was not even happening, asked to speak to a manager. A manager told me on Tues that she was very sorry and wanted to make it right, and would call/email by Wed to discuss charges and how they could make the experience right, before I wrote a review. I called Wed afternoon and the person on the other line said the manager refused to speak. I had to insist they send me an invoice and am disputing the charges with my credit card company but asked the person on the other line why the manager had promised to call/email on Wed, and was now refusing to speak. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and have never had a manager be apologetic and say they want to make it right, and the next day, refuse to speak on the phone. The cab that picked me up said that it wasn t the first time he has picked someone up from there who had a terrible experience, and that it had really gone downhill. Not only was the entire place run down and nothing like the photos on the site, people I spoke with flat out lied about food options, class schedule, and so much more. I was shocked that after only saying the day before that she would contact me the next day, the manager refused to speak. I had been looking forward to this time off for a long time, had spoken to people at YO1 before booking, and really think this place is a total scam. I would never stay here again and even though I have never written a review before in my life, felt compelled to warn people so they don t spend their hard earned money and free time on such a scam of a place.

YO1 Longevity and Health Resorts provided a unique wellness retreat. The peaceful surroundings and welcoming staff created a peaceful ambiance for me to unwind in.The state-of-the-art facilities at the resort were designed with the utmost care to ensure that my stay was comfortable and luxurious. One of the highlights of my stay was their Ayurveda and Naturopathy programs that addressed various health concerns, and the therapies are quite effective. The focus on healthy cuisine and their healthy juice bar added to the exceptional experience. At the end of my stay, I felt really rejuvenated from within.I left the resort with a renewed sense of energy and well-being. Without a doubt, I would definitely recommend this resort to everyone looking for a quick getaway!

I really wish I could give Yo1 a higher rating... The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is peaceful and serene, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.I m giving 3 stars for the lack of hot tubs and heated pool. I remember going there 2 years ago and loving the hot tubs, and I was sorely disappointed that they were gone (apparently being repaired for the past few months ). The pool was very cold, and I couldn t get used to it, no matter how long I stayed in it. The whole atrium felt kind of deserted - no staff in the locker rooms, no more towels, etc.I met a few people who were upset about the cold water and missing hot tubs.Considering the fact that we ended up spending over $500 per night, we were very disappointed.

Was looking for a quick getaway to relax and this was a perfect balance. Not too far away from the busy city, but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. This resort is super clean, activities are great including various yoga sessions, and the vegan friendly food was very good for a non-vegan.
