I had never had a bad experience here until today around 11:20 AM when I went to get ice cream and received horrid customer service who may have been having a bad day or was overwhelmed by the holidays. After about twom minutes watching the cashier flipping through a newspaper I politely asked her if she can ring out my one item because I am paying for wait time in a taxi sue then stops ringing me out and dices into an anecdote about how I should expect a store to be busy when I come and while that is absolutely true she had no other customers.ne3dless to say i allowed her rudeness to pull me out of character this is not service that anyone should be recieving and i hope stesarts can do bettdr in the future it takes a certain level of tact and intellect t offer even mediocre customer servi e both of wi h im afraid maria does not possess i will be sure not to gd5 my ice cream there ever again

It's a Stewart's, always a selection of food inside. Gas prices average. Free air for your tires!! Icecream soo much ice cream!:)

All in all a great Stewart's. Been a steady customer for 20 years. I get my gas and my milk here, as well as their famous ice cream. Too bad they struggle with staffing issues, and they have high traffic volume. Makes for long waits for the cashier.They still maintain a friendly and helpful outlook. Recommend this conveniently situated store. Spotless restroom, too!

"Family" gas station vibe, love stopping at Stewart's for my morning needs. Coffee is good and their milk last longer than shoprite,walmart and pecks milk. Top notch milk and ice cream.

Although, I have a complaint. Overall a decent enough place to go. When there are no safety issues as there has been relatively recently, that prevented everyone from using the shop at all for a period of time. And given the limited numbers of places one can go to for all services provided here in Monticello, NY.Most are grateful this Stewart's exists. And is open later when most others are closed, created a semi food/gas desert of sorts. I have to come into the village for things as there is no shops by any of the lake communities near the village.At any event, there is a individual who works there, a manager I believe who was very rude and disrespectful to me while I was trying to purchase my order.Although, I have frequented this location numerous times since moving up here from the city. I never remember what time they close.I arrived about 5 minutes before closing apparently and she stood behind me staring at me and commenting that they were closing. I made haste when I realized it was closing time and was at the register in good time.But, I purchased ice cream and had to make two trips back to my car as I had purchased numerous items. Clearly she was enraged! And this detained what she clearly felt was too slow of a departure!She made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Terrible customer service. She was clearly annoyed and aggregated that I was still just at the register at 11:05. I understand how it can seem a bit much when your work day is at its end and you still have a customer in your store.But, when the customer arrives before closing and makes haste to leave. The same quality care should be afforded as it would be at the start of middle of the day! It is called CUSTOMER SERVICE! A HUMAN DECENCY!She should be re-trained in what customer service means. And learn that at closing her time can be better served busying herself with closing activities ,(which she was clearly in the mist of but paused to take her own precious minutes to be inappropriate to me) than standing behind a customer, commenting and staring at her, expressing and displaying clear signs of angst, aggression and aggregation!I say this from experience as a former manager of numerous years in various retail spaces (fashion) throughout the country (military life/spouse).She was a older blonde woman. Stringy hair, perhaps in ponytail not very long. Possibly wearing thin gold framed spectacles. Maybe. Heavyset of sorts. I believe her name started with a B. Literally and figuratively! A formal apology would be appreciated. I know too many people that would stop shopping/getting gas from her. Should I mention this unnecessary and rude incident to them!I appreciate Stewart's shops and it would be ashame if I decided to not only stop shopping here but to take further steps, as I felt extremely violated!The mere abovementioned words of her poor behavior, bad attitude, posture and comments lack the true weight of measure to evoke the heavy heart and sentiment I felt!The young African American girl caring for me at the register was sweet, but clearly felt stuck between a rock and a hard place at how does she exhibit proper customer service while clearly noticing and feeling a way behind the behavior of her supervisor.Shameful!

Clean store for as extremely busy it is. Stewart's ice cream is a #1 favorite, always taste and fresh in hard or soft. Well stocked and good assortment of product for a small convenience store.

What I m the world is going in here !! The manager Bobby-Jo was disrespectful and loud at the customers at my visit. I will not be returning to this location since this woman has no teeth and acts like she straight from the trailer park !!! Gross

It is a gas and convenient store.
