Becker's provides great service and repairs that always exceed expectations. We have 3 vehicles that we bring to this shop and have never been disappointed. Becker s Precision Auto is an incredible auto repair shop. The owner Steve Becker is conscientious and thorough. He informs you of what you need for your repair issue, discusses cost and options. More importantly he looks over your vehicle to see if there any other issues that should be addressed. My Ford van had been serviced by the local dealer. When Steve fixed it he found 3 items that needed repair and were potentially dangerous. After reading great reviews about Becker's we decided to give them a shot, as our 1995 ambulance needed quite a bit of work. The crew were swift, friendly, extremely professional -- and above all - they felt like friends! They were kind, courteous and went above and beyond. I am so thankful, because after getting our glow plugs changed as well as a few sensors... AND new batteries (it's a 1995!) our van RUNS LIKE A CHAMP!!! And starts up great on cold, cold mornings. THANK you Becker's!!!! When we're in this area you are our GO-TO. Your service is beyond exceptional!

I was recommended to them by a neighbor and I'm glad to say I have a mechanic that I trust. They do excellent work. Stand by it and are friendly. Not the cheapest but I wasn't looking for cheap, I was looking for reasonable and reliable. Don't take my car anywhere else.

Amazing! I had a shot wheel bearing on a '77 pick-up while traveling through the area. Becker's was able to help me get back on the road in extremely short notice. I think the rest of the reviews here speak for themselves that the people here are super kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and honest. Couldn't recommend them more

They do great work at Becker s. There are other mechanics closer to home for me, but I ll go out of my way to take it to Steve s because they re fair and honest. They ve been able to get me in and out of there quickly whenever I ve needed work and it s always thorough.

What kind folks to work with. They have worked on my 2007 Mustang and got her up to par, mechanically and restored my AC, which was so needed this summer! I truly recommend Becker s for any car repair. Steve Becker is the Transmission Magician!I own a 2001 Volvo V70 XC and the transmission started acting up (not displaying what gear it was in on the dashboard or the shift column, jumping into gear). Initially, we all thought that the transmission would need to be replaced which is an expensive job. Steve and his team took the car and ran a diagnostic scan of the error codes reported. Eventually, Becker's Precision Auto diagnosed the problem as a computer programming problem. They re-programed the car and ran the vehicle through a series of diagnostic tests. I am thrilled to say that they fixed the problem. Because of my total belief in their expertise and honesty, I have paid Becker's Precision and the owner, Steve Becker, to diagnose problems with work performed by one other local transmission shop. Becker was able to find several problems with that shop's work product before those problems became disasters!Service: Transmission

I went to Becker's to have the driver's side headlight on my 2006 Mazda replaced...and to have an engine coil replaced. Long story short....this place exceeded my expectations by going above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with their work and service. I will be returning tomorrow to do more business at this establishment.

If you are looking for a place to get your vehicle worked on I suggest bringing it to Becker's Precision Auto in Montgomery NY. They are very trust worthy which is hard to find. They replaced my clutch and a few other things that my car needed and did a great job!! Steve was very helpful getting my trucks brakes fixed in the same day I called him. It only took a couple of hours and his staff drove me home and drove me back so I wouldn t have to leave my elderly mother home alone in her wheelchair. I always find Steve to be very helpful and fast with all my mechanical needs. I trust him and I don t trust my vehicle with anyone else.

Honest, knowledgeable service. When a young relative was sold a defective car from a used car lot in another state Steve picked up the phone and got the dealership to provide a refund. He went above and beyond.

To my brother s car where it was important to replace a clutch in their Subaru WRX (among other projects), fixing up my parents BMW and Mercedes, to helping my old Integra drive a bit longer - this place has seen it all, done it all, and will do with integrity. Especially with my Integra- being not that knowledgeable with cars, I shared my concerns that how I felt that my car didn t feel right (I was doing a lot of thruway driving) and they found the engine loose in the bay among other things they fixed it all up helped me get through the last bit of grad school and decompressed a lot of anxiety about my car holding up. There s a reason they ve been in business for almost 30 years- I can t recommend them enough. The business feels like an extended family and they understand that your car is more than just a car.

In September of this year, my car began overheating. The first place I thought to go was Healey Brothers as that is where we bought our car, and you always think the dealer will know best.Turns out that is not true in the least. Healey told me my car was totaled and that I should call a junkyard. They said it would cost $14k to fix it.Why am I writing this on Beckers page? Because Steve saved my car!I decided to get a second opinion, and brought the car to Beckers.Steve did a thorough workup of my car, and turns out, the $14k in fixes, turned out to be a $200 thermostat.Since then, I have driven my car over 4,000 miles, and it is working perfectly. Definitely not a junker!If you need an honest assessment of your vehicle, do yourself a favor and bring it to Becker's first. I am very glad we found them.Service: Engine repair

I'm not one to normally write reviews but the service, quality, and care that went into my vechile surpassed my expectations.After a purchase of a fairly new vechile, I began to be plagued with the dreaded check engine light (CEL). My car spent a total of three months during the year of 2017 at the dealership. Everytime I went to the dealer, they explained "your issue is this". After three months, countless new parts and no success I had two choices: sell my dream car or get it fixed.All hope appeared loss but I figured let me try an outside mechanic. Becker had good reviews from what appeared to be honest and real people. Fate have it that I found Becker's, this was the best decision I made.Becker's reviewed all my paperwork, ask me to explain the issue, and what I was experiencing. Two days later he explained what he found, gave me a quote on the cost, and an estimated completion date.Four months and 5,000 miles later no issues. I'm so happy and relieved that not only is my car fixed but now I have a mechanic I can trust!Upon payment there was a sign in the lobby that said "Thank You for choosing Becker's. We know you had other choices and we appreciate your business". I would have to disagree. Thank you Mr. Becker, without your shop I have no other choices. I know that all good things come to an end but I selfishly hope the shop is around as long as I drive, where else would I go?For someone looking for an expert, this is the place to go. Becker's Precision Auto is the only shop for me and the only place I will recommend.

Trust is a difficult thing to find in business these days, but I know I can trust my cars care to Becker. Steve s a great diagnostic mechanic and I ve been bringing my car here for like twenty years. I can t say enough good things about this shop!

three things old women alone need to trust, doctors, hairdresser and mechanic. Beckers is the most honest place I have ever dealt with. even when I think something might be needed Steve will tell me no not at this time.I swear if he ever retires I will have to sell my car. would never trust anyone else. Steve is a wonderful person. explains thing in an easy way.his staff is equally awesome. thank you guys for all you do forr our community

Love dealing with them, they are professionals, it's, but they are also open to suggestions and will work with you as to your goals on your specific vehicle. I highly recommend them, finding an honest mechanic shop, close to impossible!!
