I ve meant to leave a review here for the last couple of months now and, I have not but, i m doing it today!So I want to give a huge specialShout out to both Anthony s who work in the store both gentleman have been nothing but extremely helpful in any type of questions or needs I have. My first experience was replacing a bulb for my license plate light. This was not too bad but any of us men who does any type of work on our own vehicleKnows there s always that one thing that gives you a problem. Anthony was extremelyHelpful when it came to this went above and beyond to help me.Another situation I had to replace wiper blades and generally this is a pretty simple task, I bought a blade winded up not fitting Anthony immediately figured out that I had bought the wrong blade and an attachment needed to be added on from the package of the new blade in order for it to work. So the experience I get from here has been simply nothing but amazing and I want to say to all the staff in this place please continue to strive to be great and keep executing the customer service you guys do because you are all amazing!!!!! I typed this up quick so pardon me for any typos or grammar error I wanted to put this out there before I forget to again. thank you guys!

Windshield wiper had come off in a snow storm. Went in to get a new one, he looked at it and just snapped it back on, no charge. Friendly and wonderful service, thank you, Montgomery, NY store

Three of the four times I've been in this store, I've had bad customer service. I had to go twice to get my wiper blades warranty honored, which I had to call the New Windsor store myself to resolve, after they told me to go to the New Windsor store. The store associate told me I did not buy the wiper blades from Advance Auto at all when he looked at them. Never mind that I'm a speed perks customer and he could have checked that with New Windsor. Today, I went to do of a Amazon UPS order and was told they cannot scan my QR code, they're not UPS, and told me to go New Paltz. This was the same site associate as the wiper blades. Clearly, they need better training. The Amazon return clearly stated I do not have to print out a label, as the store associate told me I had to. I recommend going to one of the many other auto parts stores in the area and avoid the Montgomery location. New Windsor was always helpful.

Actually, I went to Advance Auto Parts because it is also a UPS dropoff place. The biggest problem I had was there is no UPS sign!

A decent auto parts store. Sometimes the staff seem to have decent knowledge. Other times Ive had some that lacked experience. I'm not knocking these folks since you have to start and learn somewhere. But for the most part, not bad.They are located in a fairly convenient place. So I do stop in fairly often. The store isn't overly large, which I like. It's normally clean and not so busy I have to wait a long time.My only two less than desirable observations is to watch the road driving in or out from the from entrance. It's fairly steep and you can make road contact if your not careful, depending on your vehicle .My other observation is the constant corporate wanting your phone number. I do not see a need such information for little things like car wax. I see as more to track your every purchase., rather than any real benefit to the customer.

Not happy with the maybrook location. Normally have no issues go in they help u look up a part number and ur in and out.Went it had my little one with me driving me nuts trying to touch everything and etc. So I'm waiting in line to get help just needed a battery for my key fob had no clue what size but I know they can just put the car info in and it pops up WELL I GUESS THAT WAS A PROBLEM THE GUY TELLS ME TO GOOGLE IT AND FIND OUT THE SIZE. I went here because I needed the help to get it quick and leave since my car was saying I needed the battery and again I had my little one with me. Otherwise I would have looked it up and just went to walgreens or anywhere else to get it cheaper. I go there for the service not the prices so there goes the service. If I or my family ever go there again it will definitely only be if it's the last resort.

Sales associate was very helpful. Suggested buying the better head light bulbs with the 2yr warranty and he was right worth every penny.

Ordered online, my regular store was out of stock so I went to this one, while not the same, the woman that helped me was very nice, the store was less crowded, plus she had my order in 5 seconds. No complaints here whatsoever EDIT 11/04/22I feel compelled to review again, same circumstances, my regular store was out of what I needed so changed the pickup to here in Montgomery. I arrived and was greeted by a young man, young like 18ish, but as professional as anyone, more so even. My parts were there, but 1 of them was a victim to a dirt bag shoplifter. I didn't want to pay full price for something missing all but 1 piece, and expressed that to the gentleman. He thought for a bit, then disappeared. I was thinking inside, oh great, now I get to wait even longer. Nope. Thinking on his feet he hunted down another item, same part, just not out yet? IDK, all I do know is that he not only made me happy, he saved the sale which should make his manager happy also. This kid deserves praise, he refused to let a dirt bag thief win. I have a retail background going back to the early 2000s, and I would be happy to have this guy on my team, I hope that Advance feels the same.

This location is in my community and I ve only been there a few times. There were no issues in the past but this time I go in for headlights and receive the wrong ones. I can t install myself and advanced auto doesn t ( that info should be listed online )Before knowing they re wrong I go to a mechanic for install then I have to drive back to get the correct headlights. Easy, right.? No. Not at all. The systems go down and I wait n wait. Then I m just given the correct bulbs without a correct receipt. At this point I m frustrated and on my way back to get these correct headlights installed.All I would say is double check the model of the car before selling the product.

Stephanie was a great help today. She helped me find the right transmission fuild and when i was runing short on change she covered me! We need more people like her in the world. The one in Vails gate NY is a very good store, I admit. Other stores I've visited, I chose to go else where when purchasing something I needed. They are always higher than everyone else though. . I just like the service I get over the phone and in person by the employees. No nonsense kind of people. I like that because when your car breaks your not a very funny type person nor do you want to deal with someone clowning around with nonsense. Vasgate is def a top rate one though! You should be proud

Went in for a new battery, the guy was very helpful. When I got home I broke the bracket that holds the battery in place so I returned with old battery for my $5 :) and asked if the sold the brackets. He showed a a universal one but the hooks were to long said I would need to cut them and retread them. I asked if he could cut them for me, he said they didnt normally do it but he would give it a try. He did and it worked perfectly. Excellent customer service. I will continue to come back. They are always very helpful.

I have been here a few times,and the staff is always very pleasant and helpful.Today,the mechanic even got on the ground and looked at something under my car for me.This is going above and beyond when it was a free stop in visit.I would definitely go back..

Great customer service and very helpful at the counter however the customer service hotline needs help with wait time and the web site should ask separately if you want product shipped or in-store pickup so there's no confusion!

Advanced Auto Parts is my go to place for auto parts. Even though I have older cars they usually have what I need in stock. If they do not have something usually they can find it somewhere nearby at another Advanced Auto Parts. Parts are usually inexpensive. Highly recommend.

Had online order clerk gave us wrong part had to make one hour trip back to find out they didn t have correct part even though the system said they did clerk said the system isn t smart enough. Maybe it s not the system ...... double check your parts and don t plan on the online system being correct

The person behind the counter seemed like they knew nothing about cars because we said we needed a part for a dodge, and then when they went to the back we saw their screen had parts for chevys on the screen. When we said thats not the right car they said, no its right.
