Fast and efficient with polite staff but somehow as a woman I and my daughter NEVER get out of there without someone trying to upsell us on something. My husband never has the same problem when he goes.

I had the worst experience at this facility. I came here for an oil change the technician overfill my engine with oil to the point that when I was leaving my car was smoking. I came the next day and the manager Richard treated me with no respect and he offended me. He was very unprofessional and had a lack of communication with me. I do not recommend this place to anyone and I would tell all my friends to stop going there. I will never, ever again go to this facility. Middletown NY Dolson Avenue. This place is super wack... This is my opinion do to the experience I had on Monday March 11, 2024 and Tuesday 12, 2024. My Mercedes benz engine almost got blown out do to the job that was done there. The manager Richard needs to get some better social skill and management communications skills

Very happy with the service here. Johnathan was polite and informative while prepping my truck for the oil change and running through their inspections. The facility was clean and the staff communicated well throughout my service. I arrived 20 minutes after opening and had 30 minute before it was my turn. My truck was completed in under 20 minutes. I will definitely be a repeat customer and use this Valvoline location for my other cars. Thank you!

Fast service, super flexible, was in and out quick.Not sure if it s new or a normal thing but you can stay in the car while they do the oil change so I thought that was cool.Even with the coupons, prices are a bit high.The crew was super chill and helpful. In any case of emergency, feel free to swing by forsure.

Wife took car to them and they stripped the plug. Came up with a lie that the aluminum pans strip due to age. Called manager there and told me that he could not due anything because they didn t strip it. I been going to valvoline for the past 15 years.Update: No investigation done. Manager took my call and read off a script stating they claim no responsibility. When i told the manager I want this looked at further, he simply said nothing will work as the complaint will be sent back to him and he will not do anything. The workers here are all so nice! Joe was incredibly kind and helpful and I am so much more than grateful to him and the rest of the guys that were all working today. After having my oil changed at the 211 location I brought my car to the Folsom location. After sitting in line for almost 2 hours and the staff "working on" my car for over an hour they told me the 211 location had overtightened my oil filter cap, I contacted management who never responded appropriately. I bought a replacement oil filter cap and attempted to have Dolson Valvoline attempt again. Another 3 hour attempt to no avail. They said everyone there tried to get the cap off. I was able to get ramps and attempted at home. My dominant hand is currently broken and with my non dominant hand I was able to get the oil filter cap off with the greatest of ease. Either the staff at the location was attempting to turn the item in the wrong direction or they had not tried at all. Either way I wasted so many hours due to the incompetence and lack of care regarding my car. Before me completing the oil change myself, Valvoline basically told me too bad and to pay a full service shop to fix their mistakes. Would not recommend. Would give zero stars if able.

Shockingly efficient service. Due to a local closure of another oil change location, they were getting crushed with additional business. And they handled it like pros. There were a dozen vehicles waiting before opening and I still got out in 35 minutes. Really, it went much better than expected.

My experience at Valvoline Instant Oil Change was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. As soon as I left their service my engine splash shield fell off, leaving me worried about potential damage to my engine.When I called to express my concern that I was unable to drive my car without it causing to spark, they told me there was nothing they could do and did not offer any apologies.It wasn't until my father called on my behalf that they finally decided to take action. I guess my call wasn t taken seriously enough. When someone came to remove the shield, there was again no sign of apology for the extreme inconvenience they had caused. I asked how this could have happened and they told me it was because my car was cheap . Never did they mention any concern during the oil change, only when I was stranded on the side of the road.What's more concerning is that they claimed the splash shield didn't need to go back on. I understand it s not a crucial element to the function of my car, however it does serve an essential role in protecting my engine from water and dirt.Their lack of understanding and care for my cars safety left me feeling uneasy about the level of expertise at this establishment.I will certainly never be returning to any Valvoline, at any location, and will be advising all of my friends and family to seek other options for oil changes.

I have used them in various locations, always good. Typically the wait isn't too bad. I have heavier than normal truck tires - 10 ply with high psi 60-80 depending. If you aren't running factory be sure they don't check the pressure - they will set it at factory spec . Which can be as low as 35 . Otherwise great.

This place is awesome!!! The whole team of guys are great professionals and always do the job correctly. Been here dozens of times and they never screwed anything up. What makes it really special is they have very jovial personalities and are always laughing and having a great time with each other. Coming here is always a mood booster!!!. Went there today for an oil change and inspection around 2:30 pm. I was told that I needed an appointment & that they couldn't take me for an inspection. I drove 45 mins to get an inspection & oil change. What a waste of time. The website says that no appointments are needed, so which is it?Last weekend, I went with my other car for an oil change towards the end of the day. It was about 1.5 hours before closing and there was 2 cars before me. The guy told me it would be 1.5 to 2 hours wait. I looked at the 2 cars and chose to wait. It was only 30 mins. I think he just didn't want more work at the end of the day.

Fast! I was in and out within 15-20 minutes. I came in on a Saturday morning at 8:30 for the first time. The employees were respectful, friendly and helpful. They did not try to take advantage of me. I say that because I am a 25 year old woman that knows nothing about cars or car oil. They each took the time to show me whats going on in my car and explain everything which I really appreciate. I will be returning!

I don't normally come this way for service but it was along the way and I actually appreciate the services provided and offered!!! This time I looked online and saw the checklist and actually noticed how they went through it which did not happen at another Valvoline location my filter needed to replaced had I not come here would have never known!!! Big thanks to the guys that serviced my car today and I will be back in a few weeks for the additional services offered!!! Appreciate it.

Update**The manager reached out to me about my experience and problem caused by not having the proper tool on site to do my oil change properly. He asked me to come back in, and he would fix the plug and redo my oil change and service properly. I'd like to thank him for responding back and fixing the plug properly himself. I will be going back to Valvoline at this point. They fixed there mistake.I've Been going to valvoline for a while and had the worst experience yesterday. Went in for an oil change usually I'm in and out within 20 to 30 minutes. I was there for over an hour and a half. They stripped my oil pan plug and couldn't get it off. Took them over 30 minutes to let me know what was going on. Their solution was to vacuum my oil out which took forever. Now. I have to take my car to a real mechanic to get the plug out and replaced, which will cost more money. I'm annoyed that a simple oil change is going to cost me more. The only compensation I received was $25 off. Which is nothing compared to what I'll be spending to fix their mess up. Sorry but you lost a customer today.

I've been coming to the Dolson Ave Valvoline for over 20 years.Have all of my experiences here been awesome, no. Have over 95% of my experiences here been awesome, yes!I know the managers by name & they know me & my trends. I know most of the technicians by name & they know my preferences.I have always been given sound recommendations for preventative maintenance, it's my choice whether to accept the advice or not.I currently drive a Jeep with 325k miles on it & blame the employees of VIOC for keeping it alive for way too long!Awesome people & great service! I can't recommend this business highly enough!

Made an appointment for an inspection (two weeks ahead). Got there 10 minutes early, and they told me to wait in the very long line of cars getting oil changes. When I asked why I bothered having an appointment, I was rudely ignored. Manager sarcastically said: you staying or going? I left. NEVER going to another of these shops.

I'm the Victim this time!!!Oil Change, job done poorly!Almost destroyed my engine!!!For the week following my oil change (800 miles) my truck Was apparently leaking oil because when I checked the oil I was out!!!Nothing on the stick!By the time I was done filling it I used 4 qts of oil!!Took it back, manager looked under truck and said he couldn't find any evidence of 4qts of oil leaking.Told me to drive it and "keep an eye out"Well I did just that and still leaking only worse, truck was leaking oil everywhere I went.Then I needed to look for my self. The oil filter was so loose the oil was dripping like a faucet when you leave it dripping so it doesnt freeze in the winter!anyway,This could have cost me my engine!!!!!I also spent about $80. Constantly Putting oil in so my engine didn't Seize up!Manager never took responsibility, just kept offering excuses.Not for nothing but I get here Early in the morning and there's a bunch of Younger guys working, which is fine, however so many of them are walking into work with red bulls and Energy Type drinks.What happened to the days when you just got up in the morning and went to work? Ya know man style?Like a big boy.This is unrealOne guy even showed up in his "pj's" and apparently changed into his Disheveled "uniform" With untied boots and dragged himself around the place while he woke up.Never again!I can't afford having to Purchase a new engine After Each Oil change!Thumbs down!So now they are doing another oil change and tighten the filter.And, to make matters worse they want to charge me for another oil change!!Finally,The manager agreed to eat the cost after tech wrote wrong mileage and I explained I didn't know he could fix the issue without a full oil change.Anyway,God willing this nightmare is over, I'm going to take the truck to my mechanic to check everything!!!UPDATE,there is an issue with my dip stick!!!No thanks to Healy brother. ! Apparently they installed the wrong Dipstick and it's not reading properly! Causing Major havoc!So wherein it looked like I was down 4qts of oil isnt the case, so I was not in jeopardy of destroying my engine.However,The manager still believes that the oil filter was NOT leaking, and I have video evidence which I showed him.Anyway it's over let's go on with our lives.

There s a gentleman William that left a good impression on me this morning 5/3/2022. He opened up a few minutes early and was professional and courteous.He mentioned that he loved his job and was asking his supervisor if he could receive more hours. The rest of the employees here are young teens to early twenties and they all seemed to keep busy.I d come back again as long as William continued to service the vehicle. He was straight up and he didn t try to push any bogus services or unnecessary parts on the vehicle.The supervisor also had a presence within the shop. He was walking around looking over everything and double checking my vehicle and the vehicle in the other bay.The best part of the service is you do not need to get out of your car. You pull in and remain in until they are complete.Service: Oil change

I use to get my oil changes done here all the time. I called to add a state inspection with and oil change and other minor add ons and was told needed to wait a week to get in. After spending thousands of dollars over years you would think that hooking a computer to a vehicle that was already there for other work and purchases would not be a big deal. When i asked the service rep why as an place that advertised convenience and no apts would the company not take the extra few minutes to make a customer feel taken care of and was told my business doesnt matter. So to everyone save their money because at this place your business doesnt matter and the representatives made that crystal clear.
