My car battery completely died today and I got amazing service at Rick s! From the quick tow to the shop to the friendly service on the phone and at the front desk to the quick service, everything was smooth and easy and I was back on the road in no time. I m from out of the area but if I lived near Middletown I would absolutely use Rick s as my mechanic. I highly recommend them to anyone!

Ricks has been an established and well known automachenic and towing business in the middletown, ny area for over 20 years. My experience as always been professional, courteous, and pleasant until yesterday! My elderly mother was in an accident and her vehicle was towed to this location on Montgomery St. The receptionist/owners wife Michelle was nothing but Rude, inconsiderate, and lacked the basic competency to handle a business! Prohibiting My mother from accessing the contents of her car such as the insurance card, registration to show proof of ownership, and requesting a copy of her title to process the release of her car to the body shop are just a few of the unnecessary demands and actions taken by this establishment. Thankfully I was able to have her car moved within a few hours! This car was not a crime scene nor is my mother a criminal. Accidents are scary especially for someone who never has even had a Ticket in 50 years of driving! I recommend when quoting a Law and attempting to enforcing it know which Law you are referring to! Also compassion and patience goes a long way! This review could have went different. Hopefully it impacts change and the OWNERS not the corporation evaluate who interacts with the PAYing customers to keep their business thriving!

Wife heard squeeling noise when making a left turn...She had brakes done a few months ago at a different shop. Rick's said the rotors should have been changed also (that is what they usually do). Rick's said no need to do right away, everything is safe but come back in 6 months to check again. COST $0.00. Who does that?

Rick s Auto is an amazing shop! The owners are honest and trustworthy! They will always tell it like it is and what your car needs. The prices are awesome, but what shines the most is their transparency and personable attitude towards their customers! I am a woman and in the auto world WE are always taken advantage of! I can honestly say coming here especially if you are a woman you won t get jerked around like other mechanic shops!

They held my personal belongings in my car when it was not abandoned they are looking at a law sue and the shelter things like pictures of my daughter id ss card and high prices I'm just a poor kid

I took my car here because my check engine light came on and the car was leaking coolant from the bottom. Without even putting the car on the left are getting underneath it they told me that my engine was blown and that I was looking for a new motor at 4000-5000 dollars. I paid $200 to have the car towed to my mechanic in a $7 part and some coolant in $168 labor I was out the door for $210 not sure what these guys were trying to pull , when I told them I think it was just a hose, they asked me if I was a mechanic. Glad I paid $200 to tow it to my own mechanic!!! Nice try Ricks

I had my car towed there for a $185.Although they didn't owe me anything they and by they I mean Sean allowed me to keep my car there for about a week without payment.I was able to find somebody to buy my car and I offered showing a $100 for storage he graciously accepted and we made a deal.Very good business the next time I need car service I will go back to Rick's auto.

This Is the only shop I ll go to!!! Have never had an issue. They strive for excellence In customer service & are very, very honest. I don t feel comfortable anywhere else In Middletown. You feel like family here. The other shops are overall horrible

I called 5 places at 8 am everyone was to busy to help me they answered 2nd ring and immediately were willing to help. They were at my car towing me less than 5 mins later. The tow driver was a gentlemen opened my door for me and was extremely sweet. The receptionist was sweet and the office was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend using this garage !!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Ummmm. Paid $48 for something I thought was fixed. But to their credit my mechanic directly up the street overcharges so my car got towed to this shop by accident. I explained what was wrong with the car they didn't know. God bless their hearts. Didn't even ask for a refund because the mechanic tried to help. It's hard out here finding an affordable mechanic that can properly fix your car the first time. So my car went right back to expensive mechanic up the same street from Rick's auto....twisted cycle.

The Owners and Staff at Rick s Auto Repair were totally AWESOME.They all treated me great and got me right in and took care of my needs immediately with my Honda.

Rick's is a great shop!I have had cars towed by them,inspected and worked on with no complaints.They make you feel like a priority.My old mechanic lost me over refusing to do an oil change.This shop never says no to me they always have time.

The worst customer service experience EVER! I had my car towed there because of AAA's recommendation. I clearly said "I don't know what's wrong with the car" I later got a phone call saying it was the belts. I had them replace the belts. When I picked up the car and asked if I can drive my car to the city, I was told "I don't know, you said change the belts!" I don't ever remember to to a trade school to become a mechanic!!! They were already bought out by AAA....needless to say, I took my car to Toyota and got the best customer service ever and my car repaired. Thank you JOHNSTON TOYOTA.......NO THANK YOU RICKS AUTO REPAIR!!!!! I WOULD GIVE YOU 0 STARS IF I COULD!!!!
