I've been dealing with this shop for many years. Set many of my vehicles to them to be inspected and to be checked over. They've always done right by me. Never a bad experience at their shop. Now that they've been sold to another shop, I've only dealt with them once they seem to be good people, but I hope it stays that way. I would recommend using them.

I will always take my vehicle here.. I have been through 2 cars with them and they are like family... They give it to you straight. Yes they are extremely busy and you have to be patient but if you want quality and to make sure your vehicle is road safe then sometimes you may have to wait unlike bigger garages. However the staff are knowledgeable and they are willing to explain what's going on and give a quote before working on your car so you are not showing up with added fees like other garages. They also have a tow truck so you can get towed right to them. Jim is my favorite mechanic

A friend took his Antique Chrysler the for inspection brake where all new to take the drums off you need to take the spindle nut that holds the bearing in place off instead they pried between the drum and backing plate and bent the backing plate causing the left wheel to pull . and greasy hand marks all over the chrome trim . and didn't even clean it off the black mark on the white wall tire . so that backing plate may not be available that all. i am looking in to it I have 40+ years in auto repair on antique car from 1924 model T to 40's 50's and 60's . if you don't know what you are doing you can go to the library and get a book or google it like most kids do today i hope more people see this . You can google who works on antique car and you would get a list to look over call them ask about working on older cars . i wish he came to me first before going to this clown . he did past the inspection but did not put the mileage the tag I do know a person at DMV in Albany I have put a call in today on this . please beware of this place . I have to leave 1 star but they get a ( -9 ) in my book

Joe and Jim have always been so honest and genuine! I only take my car there! Oil changes to transmission problems! It s been 3 years since I discovered this gem! I will definitely recommend Kearney s to anyone who needs their car taken care of!Shara

I go every year to get my inspection done and have any other mechanical work done here as well. Al and Joe are very friendly, knowledgeable. honest mechanics. I highly recommend to everyone to go to Kearney's for your car services.

Kearne'ys has excellent customer service! I had a tow, which was done so promptly, and the tire repair was completed very quickly. The tow driver and gentlemen at the garage were very kind and easy to work with, could not recommend them more. Very pleasant experience!Service: TiresService: Tires

I ve had a good experience with these guys in the past, brought my car in for some more work this month and a few hundred dollars worth of stuff was stolen out of my trunk. I m not sure if it was an employee or someone in town, but my car was left unlocked in the lot and the owner said he doesn t have cameras nor is it his problem. Very disappointing and grimy behavior from what I thought were honest people.

I like them but when I took the car in for a noise, they fixed something but not the noise. I brought the guy for a test drive and he rolled up the window so you couldn't hear the noise. So problem solved I guess. Roll up the windows and turn up the radio.

The mechanics at Kearney's repaired my KIA Soul for a very resonable price. I was very pleased. My car runs better than when I bought it 11 years ago. Nice people, good work. Absolutely great and quick service. They changed my wiper blades free of cost, that's something I usually do myself because most places will gauge you for small stuff like that. I think the key word to the title of this business is service. There is no other place I'd ever bring my car to for repair. Joe and company are absolutely amazing! Very good prices, honest associates, and very fast turnaround time! I hate it when my car breaks down but I rest easy knowing that Kearney's will fix it

I have been a customer for over 15 years. I've had Subaru, Dodge, Mazda and Toyota serviced there. Joe and his crew always do a great job at the right price! They are honest and are very customer service oriented.

Best Auto repair place I have been in over a decade period. Honest, down to Earth, best priced, just every single box you can give a check mark to they get. Anyone even close to Mechanicsville or ever further, should definitely consider Kearney's. I will be taking every single one of my vehicles here from now on.

If you want to bring your car in the hope of it coming back in better condition DO NOT GO HERE I brought my car in for breaks rotors and 2 wheel bearings. They then insisted I needed all four calipers and another bearing they also charged my 10 hours of labor for the job when they where only working on it for max 8! BUT THATS NOT THE WORST OF IT!!! After being over charged and told I have to get parts I did not need i find that my dashboard on the passenger side has an enormous straight dent across it. I'm a car person so I cannot describe to you how livid I am. My dash will never go back to normal all because some mechanic has 0 respec for a young man with a sportscar!! I REPETE DO NOT GO HERE

I used these guys to repair/replace a valve stem in a cylinder head because the piston hit it. They told me that they would replace the piston as well, since it smashed the valve stem like a mortar and pestle.They said the work was done, but the car wouldn't run at all. Took it out on a tow truck to my house. After a month of troubleshooting I found that they had never adjusted the valve lash, and they used so much liquid gasket that it was clogging oil channels meant to feed the upper end.Finally took the head off myself and found that they never changed the piston, and that now the piston had broken at the oil holes. This destroyed my oil pump at the bottom.These guys are low grade hacks. They did right by me on parts ordering, but they destroyed more of my engine by not doing a thorough job.

Kearney's did some work on my car to the tune of 1000.00 + dollars. The exhaust they couldn't fix right away so I had to take it back a second time. Fast forward 3 months - the problems I brought the car in for were not fixed, had a friend with mechanic training look at it for me - brake caliper that was supposed to be changed - not fixed, they only did one side. EGR valve that was supposed to be replaced - not done. Exhaust system? Fixed with cheap flex pipe that would have corroded away in year. In short, service is low quality, dishonest and slow. Go here if you enjoy wasting money.

Stay away from this SHADY operation!!!!!!....read reviews....the owner is a thief and liar, and tried to throw everyone else under a bus when the list of complaints online grew. Rated "F" by Better Business Bureau for a reason!!!! Thieves and liars! Stay away!!!!I A pack of thieves....the owner wants to throw the blame at his former cohort, who was sentenced on felony charges...they were all in it together....they screwed me, lied to me, and stole from me STAY AWAY!!!!!! Check them out at The Better Business Bureau and do not belive the owner blaming his former manager. They were in it together and he should be in jail as well. Shame on you Kearney! Up yours Kearney!

All I have to say is I made a really great choice choosing Kearneys's they were straight forward and didn't make me feel like I was getting robbed I've taken my car to other mechanics and it seems like I leave with more issues but not with these guy's my cars running better than it has ever been thank you guys for your honesty and professionalism I'm definitely referring everyone I know to you all and 100% only using Kearneys's for future repairs no more searching for me so thank you and keep satisfying your customers it's hard to find trustworthy mechanics!Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment

What a joke a simple oil change turned into hundreds of dollars. You cant even talk to the owner because he is so rude and ignorant. Any goid reviews are from family and his close friends. Paul V really dude, you claim poverty all day long. Get a life. This place is terrible.

The owner refuses to work with customers refuses to allow payments only wants money upfront and if you can t provide that wants the title to the vehicle. Completely unprofessional and grimy.
