Been using them for the past two years after my long time trusted mechanic retired. John is great to work with and really took care of my family on Friday. My daughter was leaving to go back to college on Thursday and the check engine light came on and her sunroof wouldn't close. John got it fixed that night so she could take her 5 hour drive on Saturday and miss weather heading North. Highly recommend them.Service: Electrical

Used the shop years back. They overcharged and wasn t happy with the service. Unfortunately years later my company uses their shop for service. Vehicles sit there for 2+ weeks because they re focused on overcharging other customers and whenever they get a chance to work on our vehicles they don t even fix everything leaving issues illegal that law enforcement can ticket. Yet some of the vehicles are parked on side streets subject to other vehicles potentially hitting themServices: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

Been familiar with McBirneys since I was a kid, been gassing up there for 20 years. Been bringing my car in for service and I'm never disappointed. John always treats me with respect and is fair with prices. You can tell he appreciates your business. Having a repair shop you can trust is critical, and this is the place to go!

John and his team did excellent work on my car! He keeps you informed and gives honest feedback and suggestions. The customer service was top notch and the auto repairs to my a/c system was amazing work. Excellent! it is very difficult to find an auto repair shop you can trust not to over charge or over sell (Repairs you don't need). THIS IS THE PLACE!!John has been Friendly, Professional, Reliable and Very Accommodating to my needs. I have had my 2012 Crosstour in for repair several times and have no complaints. I really like the fact that i have a place that i can count on to do the repairs i can't do myself without the arrogance!!thank you John for another job well done!Service: Electrical repair

We have been going to John for over 10 years. Always has reasonable and fair prices and is honest when it comes to doing car repairs. Never overcharges. 10/10 I would recommend. I moved out of the area and I still come back to Massapequa for any work on my car.

Beware, brought my car in for repairs, John gave me a price which sounded very high, so I questioned it and he says he'll work with me. So the next price he gives me is considerably less, but when I go to pick up my car I was told that his mechanic broke a bolt on my starter so I needed a new starter which brought the price of the job higher than the first quote. It is my responsibility to pay for a starter that worked absolutely perfect when it was the mechanic that broke it ???? Stay away !!!

I recently came this establishment having trouble with my car over heating . They inspected my car in a timely manner and knew exactly what was wrong . When they told me , i thought it was going to be a arm and a leg to replace the radiator , water pump , and fan switch . Little did I know , these guys are here for the people and gave me more then a reasonable price. I would recommend this car shop for anybody that has small or big problems. These guys will do you right and have your car running like new . Thank you guys for everything !

My family and I have been going to McBirney's Auto for years and have never had a bad experience. They are always accommodating, timely, prices are always fair and for a job well done. I had purchased a lemon from a dealership and the guys at McBirney's have given more insight and help with the car than the Chevy dealership ever did. I will definitely continue going to McBirney's, as well as recommend their services.

I brought my car in for a NYS inspection. Although I agree my rear brake pads were low, it was of the opinion of the mechanic that I needed new brakes that would first cost $200 but magically went down to $170 when I refused to have him complete the work with their inferior parts. These guys are looking to make a quick buck at your expense. I brought my car to another shop and they passed me without any issues. They wasted $37 and 2 hours of my time. I would not recommend this place for any type of vehicle maintenance .

Owner John McBirney is one of the nicest people I have ever met, he truly cares about his customers. Bottom line excellent crew of mechanics who deliver quality work, McBirney's is honest with excellent prices, what else can u ask for? I have a 2006 Jeep Liberty with over 200k miles on it, it drives better than when it was new, thanks to McBirney"s!

The worst business ever. Would not go back there even if it was free service! Owner hung up on me when asked if I can get a call back with info as to what is wrong with car after they had car in their shop for the entire day. This is been several times of extremely bad customer service. Will never go there again

Horrible shop!!! Today my wife was driving when she saw smoke coming out from under the hood.. Took the truck to Mc Birneys auto service where she was told it was the heater hose fittings.. She then walk to her doctors appointment . Upon arrival she was told it was $300!!!!!! $300 dollars for a 5 to 10 minute job on YouTube ???? Give me a break !!! Beware !!! If you break down by him call a tow and bring it to your own shop it will be cheaper .. I called him when I got home from work asked him how long it took to perform the work he had no clue ??? He called me back saying well the national average says 1.1 hours and and .7 to fill the antifreeze ??? I'm know mechanic but it doesn't take me almost an hour to put in antifreeze in my truck . Scam artist... Beware...

The only mechanic to trust in massapequa. I have been living in massapequa for 3 years now and this is the only place i take my car for service. I have recommended family and friends to go as well. The prices are unbeatable for car service. Very humble people here who care that you drive safely on the road.

Took my wife's Subaru in for an oil change and to see what was making a rattling/buzzing noise. John found that most of the exhaust and catalytic converter shroud bolts were rusted or gone. The mechanic replaced all of them. When I drove it home I was amazed. Our Subie NEVER was as quite as it is now! Highly recommend McBirney's Auto Service.

UPDATE:DO NOT work for this man. He REFUSES to provide pay stub which is illegal in New York State. When an employee tries to move on from working for this man and returns 2 days later to retieve his person property (ie tools and tool box) the owner will call the cops in an attenpt to make false allegations of traspassing, which is also a crime I might add. Wasting valuable police officer time and energy.The owner is terrible rude and has no idea what he is doing. Was handed the business by family. Knows NOTHING about cars or how to run a shop. You will pay for parts and service not needed and never get done what is. Steer clear. Head down the block to Conlon Brothers...

Owner is EXTREMELY rude. The quality of work is sub-par to say the least. In fact, it is horrible. Go to Vinny 10 racing or D & D diagnostics for exceptional service.

Been coming to this place for years and you can t beat the service here...great work they do and great prices...good mechanics are hard to come by...they fix one thing and break somethings else, I ve had the worst experiences in the past but not here I recommend this shop to anyone looking for a great mechanic
