Got my truck stuck in a mud hole off-roading, these guys took their truck as far down the trail as they could and hiked the rest of the way. Wasted no time when they got to us. They were determined to get us unstuck in the cold and dark. A recovery like that could have taken all night, but not for these guys. Then after all that they charged so little I felt like I was robbing them. Excellent service.

Just had Keith come out and save me. Went to the laundry Matt and picked up a screw in the tire. He made it to me in 30 mins and had me back on my way in 10. Hell of a nice guy. Will definitely be getting my business from now on

Was towed from Henderson Harbor to Watertown on a dark, miserable, windy night in December. They came promptly and took good care of me! We ll done!

Have had my truck over a month! Still doesn t know what s wrong with. Keith, the owner got upset when Called out on his poor performance and started yelling and screaming hung up the phone and police were called terrible shop. Do t bring your vehicle here!

Our only car snapped a ball joint just hours before my husband had to be at work. S&R came and towed the car, got the part and had us back on the road in record time. They could have taken advantage of our situation and charged anything but the bill was very reasonable and the work was excellent. We will never go anywhere else.

S&R is 110% the place to call if you need a tow, today my friends were stuck and he saw us in need and stopped to help without us even asking in the pouring rain, he was extremely friendly and was quick about it. Absolutely would recommend this company for any of your vehicle needs!! Thank you again S&R

This used to be a good place to take your vehicle, but the lack of communication amongst there staff leaves a lot to be desired. Brought a vehicle in to have work done, with all the parts that were to be replaced or fixed. We had discussed several times what was gonna be done and where the parts would be. Went to pick up my vehicle and was told a crazy number. But thought they would explain to me what the charges were. We paid and took our vehicle home to find that all the parts were still in the rear of the vehicle and some of the things that were supposed to be done weren't even touched. So now we have paid for the parts TWICE due to the lack of communication. They even have a sign that says they charge more per hour if you bring your own parts, so I know that they would have if it had been communicated to all the staff. Not happy won't be going back. My dad said after this he won't be going back there again either!

I'm going to have to pay $2300 for a brake job on a 3/4 ton truck. Yes brakes, calipers,and pads cost $1200 these days but a decent mechanic can do the job in 4 hours and that is NOT worth another grand plus. I will not be going back. Ever!

This small garage is so helpful, working with us on timing, etc as best they canThey work as quickly as possible while still doing a great job, and make sure to work with us to keep prices reasonable. Also, just so happens to be near a local elementary playground and seasonal ice cream shop, which helps when little ones have to wait with you. When waiting alone, the office dogs are entertaining.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance, Oil change

We were involved in a single vehicle accident and our car was totaled and later towed away by S&R. In the chaos of the moment I did not retrieve all of our personal items from our vehicle, and later was unable to visit S&R to retrieve them due to our travel commitments, and we later returned to our residence in Canada. I had several conversations with S&R's staff afterwards about the items, and they went above and far beyond my expectations. This included digging through 4 feet of snow to unbury my totaled vehicle to search for my items, taking photographs of them for me, and later shipping them to me themselves. I am beyond grateful. They then followed up via text to make sure everything turned out OK. Wonderful people and company to work with.Service: Car towing

The gentleman that came out was extremely personable, and was a giant help in getting our RV jumped. It took a little while longer, by the fault of my own with communication, and he didn t bat an eye. Wanted to love them. Had a ton of work done on two vehicles. Watch your invoices! $50 an hour for labor which I expected however they will take advantage of you by way over charging for parts! I priced parts on my invoice and wasn t pleased. Then had an estimate done and it was very high. Asked about the parts price and it was over $400. Asked if I could buy my own part. After I purchased my own part labor should have been just over $150. I purchased the part for $150 and then was charged around $265 for labor so they still snuck in the extra! Have an issue with a repair. They had text me so I sent a video showing it wasn t done correctly. They then ghosted me! I have yet to find a really good and honest auto garage. I was hopeful with this one however in the end they disappointed me. Stop taking advantage of people S&R! Thank you so much Keith and I think Rick!! Was on my way from Watertown to Syracuse on 81 tonight, my car broke down. Was advised from a different tow company to give S and R a call. Keith was very friendly and wanted to help right away. He dispatched (I believe Rick) the tow truck was there very shortly after. The price for that tow was very fair! I am very very pleased with everyone. Rick was so friendly and caring, he said he wouldn't leave until our ride got there as there was only room for 1 person in the tow truck and three of us. Thank you all so much for your patience with me not knowing exactly where I was and most of all for your kindness. I'm Canadian. Had a turkey fly thru my window. The guys at a&r through my AAA towed me and helped find windshield glass and when it wasn't possible helped me get the car able to get home and didn't charge me. Appreciate all the help. Honest business.

My car broken down near this auto shop yesterday and used AAA insurance to use road side service. I don t really not know any area, I don t have any family nor friends to ask pick us upBecause only our family car just broke down. This place offer me to take us back to home! The worst experience i ve had with a mechanic keith is very unprofessional he lied many times about work being done on my car it was in his shop for 3.5 months with him not looking at it or even ordering a part it was a simple alternator replacement i will not be back he is a joke.

The Mechanics at S&R literally saved us from a huge car malfunction. We were driving on our way to Canada and our cap slid off.The guys at S&R were kind enough to check our car right away, and looked for the parts we needed.If you re in need of a Mechanic, definitely come here first they are SUPER trustworthy!

Just a state inspection. But have had my truck their for a new transmission line. They were professional, friendly. My vehicle inspection was done earlier this week. It passed. One of the most pleasant auto repair shops I have ever dealt with. If your needing repair on your auto I would highly recommend this shop as everyone knows you shouldn't wait until the last minute for safety inspection they are they are there for the safety of you and your auto so don't wait until the last day your inspection is due start earl. Don't be mad because you fail the inspection not their fault. Personally I recommend this Service Center. Thank you for being there for me and my family safety.

Keith saved me on the side of the road Halloween night, 3 hrs from my home, scared woman alone on the side of 81 & then let me relax in the warmth and comfort of their very nice and home-like part of their shop. His lovely wife stayed late until after 11pm to wait with my for my ride! Not only is this business very professional. But they are GOOD PEOPLE. Thank you guys so much! I wanted a blue ox tow bar baseplate installed on my scion xd so that i could flat tow the car behind our RV. Keith at S&R Automotive read over the mounting instructions and said it would be no problem. Basically the bumper area on the front of the car needed to be removed so that the baseplate could be installed.The job was completed and I am very satisfied. The car tows perfect.Thank you S&R.

What an amazing group of people. My mom has been going to S & R for a couple of years and they have always done right by her. Recently my truck was having some issues and FX was not helpful at all so I went to S & R. They were able to use my extended warranty and they even gave me a ride home when I had no one to give me a ride. Somehow whenever I go through S & R I always leave feeling good, it's so refreshing to know that I can trust them and know they will not take advantage of me or my family just to make a quick buck. You have to really watch these guys. Their work itself is fairly good. However they are notorious for giving you an estimate to get you in the door, then calling you up a day later once they have your car and jacking it up doubling the price. All the wrecker services and other shops in the area can verify this. It's well known.

I don't normally post reviews, especially for automotive businesses, probably because I've never experienced the level of expertise and professionalism until I started using S & R Automotive in Mannsville for ALL my vehicle needs. I can't say enough great things about this friendly, hard working family business. They're always checking to ensure their prices are reasonable, and I've found, less than surrounding businesses! And the work is outstanding every time!

Great service! They came out a mile into a snow-covered snowmobile trail I wandered onto, towed my vehicle back onto the path, then helped me back all the way out back to a dirt road. Very professional and kind service at a really reasonable price!

Keys locked in the truck on the 4th of July, no hesitation came and unlocked the truck, accepted AAA. The mechanic was clean and professional.
