I went in there to get a state inspection based on the premise that there was no appointment required as listed on their website. When I got there, and I pointed out that the website list no appointment required. They then lied to me and told me that they no longer do state inspections on EVs. Highly unprofessional on several levels first of all website is absolutely misleading second of all lying to customers who are trying to give you their money just because they pointed out the first problem...Update after a customer service call. Dear owner, maybe you should give up doing inspections if it's such a burden and a waste of your time. If you drive an EV avoid this place as they currently do not have the ability to do inspections on your car...unless you're doing an old change as well.... Do better!!!

Mamaroneck Valvoline provided quick and courteous service. I will only return here for my oil change. No need to go out of my way to the deal shop. This was much easier and proved great service!

These guys are a great team. A well oiled machine. You don t see many work places with their kind of team work. I smile my way through every visit because they are so top notch at making the customer feel special. It s like watching a gas station commercial from the 50s, where you get gas and 15 guys come out to check your fluids and tires and wipers and wash your windows. In a nation with an ever increasing amount of poorly run businesses that don t give good service. It s refreshing to see a place so dedicated to their image as a good customer experience. Can t say that for all Valvoline locations. I live next to the Yonkers valvoline and they are crooks. So I drive all the way to Mamaroneck.

My oil pressure light came on. I pulled in and Angel, the manager, were very helpful. We discussed the possible reasons and eventually realized it was best to fill an amount a bit under recommended by the manual. It worked.Very happy with the service.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

I called Valvoline the morning of Wednesday May 24, 2023 to make an appointment for an inspection and an oil change. In the past Valvoline did inspections every day up until 2 PM now you need to call well in advance to make an appointment. They told me their first available appointment was not until June 1 which didn t do me any good because my inspection expires the end of May... in the future I will be taking my business elsewhereService: Oil change

I did NOT ask for a new oil drain bolt. They added it on to my oil change and proceeded to sales pitch me ac and steering fluid telling me it's way overdue (it's not, I'm only at 60K). I pay and there it is, they stealth charged me a "oil drain purge gasket" for $2.99 before tax. I did not get a new oil drain bolt and the picture (still wet from the oil change) included is proof. Unless Valvoline sells paint chipped and rusted oil drain bolts than this location is a scam. I guess they didn't like me using their $5 off coupon from their website. I feel bad for the people getting an inspection from here, because this act is not an oversight, but a clear and deliberate act of scamming a paying customer.Service: Oil change

Btrought a fleet car for oil change and tire rotation and they start putting all extra services without drivers approval and submitted for approval from auto integrate fleet service. Whenever they get a fleet car they include all services without drivers approval. Such a dishonest practice, bad customer service. I finally able to take all the unnecessary services off the list they offered. Very disappointed service.Service: Oil change

Cannot recommend them enough. All the staff is extremely courteous and professional, everyone smiles at you. The store manager (Angel) is a dream to deal with, he truly understands the customers. Shop manager was very willing to please. Only issue was they spilled oil all over my rock guard under my truck and it dripped oil in my driveway. Tech should have been more careful or at least cleaned up the spill. Make sure you get the Groupon for the oil change or be prepared to pay!The response below from Valvoline is just a PR response. Emailed them below 3 times and never received a response.

Horrible customer service with a dismissive, unyielding attitude. I went in for an inspection, and a few minutes later was informed that it wouldn't take place because of an issue with the brake pedal experienced while driving the car inside. He was adamant, as if to fend off an argument I wasn't interested in having anyway. Since I had the brakes looked at and worked on only a few days before, I was very concerned about what the issue could be. Subsequently I took the car to a dealership where the mechanic looked at the brake pedal and did the inspection. The mechanic determined there was absolutely no issue with the brake pedal or the brakes, and the car passed inspection with flying colors. So, why did the person at Valvoline lie to me, cause unnecessary stress, and waste my time? What a horrible business.

This is hands down the best location to get an oil change. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They keep you updated while they are servicing your vehicle and even showed me the amount of oil they ve put in. Also when I went to pay for the service the gentleman recommended me to purchase the coupon on Groupon so I didn t have to pay to much. I highly recommend this place for your vehicle. Five Star Service and Five Star Staff.

Friendly enough staff, but I only went here because other reviews mentioned it was one where you could stay in your car and that was not the case. No lining was put down to keep my car seats clean which is what other Valvolines have done when I can't stay in my car in the past.Also I was charged for a plug and gasket replacement that was not mentioned to me.Overall it was fine I guess. Conventional oil change was $35 with a coupon but over $50 without.Service: Oil change

I have been a customer for 20 years. I believe I was dealing with the owner, which is so sad. It is upsetting that I cannot come here again because of the cost of wiper blades. 2minutes into a ny inspection, I was told I need new wiper blades or I fail inspection. I said I don't need them as they are fairly new. He said there are too many streaks. I said i bet they are dirty, did you wipe them? He says not my job! What! So, since no one else was waiting for service, I cleaned them with a wet wipe. The left side has no streaks, the right has one and I probably could get that off too. He says he will fail me if I don't get new $50 blades. He says I was angry, while he tells I am doing you a favor and not failing you and you would have to pay the $37 anyway. Btw, you need an appointment and he tells me he is doing me a favor to take me. There was one other customer and 3 workers. I cannot come here again, is that really worth it to him for $50 blades? I will go to port chester. Watch out for the "persuasive" tactics.

Don t go there. BEWARE !!! I went in for an inspection and waited over one hour to tell me that I had failed inspection.. The engine light came on during inspection process. I never ever had the engine light on previous. Now I will have to see what happen to my car that Valvoline did to it. The person before me failed inspection also and was being in billed of an upcharged for various services, with a bill over $800.00. $800.00 at Valvoline!!!! Something is fishy there. I will never go back there. Don t go there for inspection. You will occur new issues with your car there. Warning

I had a very pleasant experience. The guys were very professional and thorough. There were 3 people ahead of me but they treated me as if I was the only one. I appreciate there quik service and would go back again.

Came for an oil change on a Sunday morning, 2-3 cars were ahead of me and I only had to wait maybe 15-20 mins before it was my turn. Fast service and great workers! I will definitely come back next time I need an oil change. Also was able to stay in my car for the whole time instead of waiting in the waiting room.They have great taste in music too!

My regular mechanic was out of town so went to this Valvoline for a $105 oil change. Thought all went well until I went back to my regular mechanic and he noticed that they kept the same oil filter on. Expensive oil change and they don't change the filter. Buyer beware.

Horrible, dismissive, and unprofessional attitude. I went in for an inspection. I was told the brake pedal was going all the way to the floor and making a noise, and that the car wouldn't pass. I told him I had just had the brakes looked at and the front brakes done 4 days prior. He wouldn't budge. I immediately drove to a licensed and certified mechanic who confirmed the brake pedal definitely was not going all the way to the floor by any stretch, that there was no noise, and that the brakes were in great shape. Complete waste of time by an arrogant, superior-acting (and rude) tech who apparently doesn't actually know what he's doing and invented a reason not to do the inspection so that he could have the afternoon off (there were no other cars being worked on). Go anywhere else.

I went there initially and after sitting in the waiting room for about 20 minutes, they told me they didn t have the oil filter for my car because it s too new. I have a 2020 Kia Sorento. My car isn t any rare vintage car, lol. I was very surprised at the least. This never happened to me before in my life for coming in for a simple oil change.I came back about 3 weeks later after calling to confirm if they had the oil filter. After my oil was changed, I find out hey didn t reset my service required sign on my dashboard and my tire valve caps were missing....I ve had my car serviced here before and my experiences were fine before this recent mishaps. I m not sure if there was a change in management, but they gotta pay more attention to what they re doing.I m adding on to this comment I posted two years ago. I believe in second chances and I decided to go back there for oil changes due to getting coupons in my email. This morning(7/20/2023). I asked a simple question regarding synthetic vs conventional oil changes, but Angel who proclaimed to be the manager demonstrated a nasty attitude and poor interpersonal skills. I simply asked for his name and he replied. I don t care if you re trying to get me fired. Get out of my business. He increasingly got belligerent with me when I even asked to see if I can ask his coworker the same question. I called the police to settle the dispute. For it to escalate this way when I simply went for an oil change and asked a simple question, I feel my rights as a customer were violated. Never again, I will come back here even if they offered me an oil change for free. Lesson learned. Not worth the hassle, time, etc.
