Drove into NYC recently and got a flat. Called AAA for assistance and soon got a call from Quality Auto Services. Ian was incredibly helpful in explaining my options and getting the process started for the tow and repair. He kept updated throughout the process (was about two hours for the tow which seems reasonable for a busy Saturday) and was responsive whenever I had questions. They were able to get me a new tire (the flat wasn't salvageable) that day, so me and my family wouldn't have to get a hotel. Mona who worked the desk after hours was also very courteous and helpful. Thanks to Quality Auto Services help we were still able to have an enjoyable day in the city and get back home that night.

DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A PARKING TICKET, BAD SERVICE, AND TO BE OVERCHARGED.My car stopped working on Dec 7, 2023 and I had to call AAA for a tow. As I was waiting, I got a call from the tow truck company asking if I can go to this auto shop instead of the one that AAA was originally going to send me to. For me, I thought it didn t matter since they were both AAA approved auto shops. Unfortunately, I was wrong. After they inspected my car, I was quoted a fee which didn t seem right. I thought about it, talked to a few friends and called back saying that I was just going to get my car towed to another autoshop. They immediately said that they can lower the fee by a few hundred dollars!!! (Which means the quote I received was inflated). I still declined. Called AAA to tow my car again. The new tow truck told me that I just needed to have them release my car and sign any paperwork but that I didn t have to be there. I came to Quality Auto Service. Asked them about my car, the person behind the counter told me he didn t know where my key or my car was and that I needed to wait until someone who knew came. I waited probably 1.5 hours until that person showed up. Then I got my key and went to my car and there was a PARKING TICKET! I informed them about the ticket. They told me they would handle it. Jan comes, they didn t handle it. My ticket increased in price. I called quality auto services, they said Ian wasn t there but they will relay the message and pay for the ticket. I checked end of Jan to see if my ticket was paid for and it still wasn t. I called Quality Auto Services again, and Ian again was not there but that my message would be relayed. Now it s Feb, I just received another notice that my ticket still has not been paid for and has increased in price again. Asking 3 times for my parking ticket to be paid wasn t enough.Oh and one more thing, the new autoshop I went to told me I was being overcharged by Quality Auto Services even with the immediate discount I was given. So this place just scams AAA members that get towed to their shop because they think we have no other options.

Had my car towed here. They took over a month to get me my car even after I paid them and gave them my keys. The only time I get I would get an update on the car is when I called. They constantly contradicted themselves with dates and problems with my car and tried to tell me I didn t pay. After I got the car back it breaks and it turns out they gave me a used part for 2300 dollars.Very rude to my mother who was trying to help me. Just avoid this store for the best these people have no integrity. They are bad liars and even worse mechanics. The mangers should be ashamed. The reviews speak volumes on how they treat there customers. If I were you use common sense and don t go here

Towed and assessed my car after an accident. Provided personal, technical, and holistic advice as well as a fair quote. Would absolutely recommend these people to anyone!

I had my car towed by this company through KIA Roadside Assistance. They left my car in an incorrect location, unattended and unlocked with the keys inside of it for 3 days. It accumulated numerous parking tickets and it s a miracle it wasn t stolen or damaged. The employee that I spoke with on the phone didn t seem to care at all and hung up on me. Take your business elsewhere.

This is a towing service review. Car broke down Saturday at 11pm in the middle of NYC. Called AAA. Told AAA I need a tow back to NJ and would like a ride, as i had no way to get back home otherwise. After waiting in the car til 3am driver drove by, said he was real busy that day and told me i couldnt ride in the cab because of their insurance policy. No buses or trains to NJ at this hour so I had to take an uber home for $180, only to see the same driver unloading my car in the driveway when i arrived. Cant complain about the towing, because it was free(paid $50 for tolls), and the car wasnt damaged, but waiting til 3am to tell me i cant get the ride i asked for after leaving me stranded for 4 hours on a cold night is not cool

Horrible experience. I was told taking my car here would be better than infiniti but turned out wrong. They over charged me for parts on my car and lied about 10% OFF. I got my vehicle back and the light came back on so they never fixed the issue also since I got my car back my back up camera don't work as well. Very bad experience. Please save your self a trip, they would over charge you. I WILL not ever go back there again and the nerve to be working with geico smfh... NEVER AGAIN!

Thank you Quality Service for saving me! I had a giant nail in my tire after riding all over NYC trying to find a place to get it plugged. They fixed it for me there on the spot, after about a 15 minute wait. Not bad for a repair shop.Service: TiresService: Tires

Came in on a Saturday afternoon to get my emissions check on a new car without any notice. Ian was very helpful and was able to take care of everything quickly without any hassle. Much appreciated

CUSTOMERS BEWARE. Re: Invoice #65060 dated 10/16 for $3,530.22 for 2013 Mercedes E550. Invoice represented estimate for replacement of left side catalytic converter. I did not authorize the work because they could not find a catalytic converter. Never left the car there. I went to Mercedes who advised me that the left side catalytic converter for my car was no longer available in Germany or US. Car was useless and I traded it in and purchased as 2020 Mercedes S560. Several weeks later I found the charge to my credit card. Ten calls to the owner Rony and his assistants Jason and Ian were never returned nor will they come to the phone. I am now pursuing legal action. Shame on you Rony after 15 years of being a loyal customer. Carlo M.

My experience has been horrible!!! Their customer service is horrible!!! Little professionalism, courtesy, or consideration for the person who just wants their vehicle as soon as possible. My car was towed for a flat tire and ended up in there shop for nearly 2 months. It took them a week check the car out and find the suspension issue, then all of a sudden they found another issue several weeks later. I called every couple of days for an update on repairs. Nobody called me unless it was to talk about when and how they re getting paid. I believe they gave me old or used parts, and charged for new ones. I will NEVER EVER bring my car here again! I do not recommend anyone bring a car there for repairs. How they ve been able to exist as a legitimate business is beyond me. My guess is they re main business is towing cars; on top of taking advantage of warranty and insurance companies. I wish I had a read these reviews before I made the mistake of letting them keep my car for repair. Soo much regret!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair

Tow truck cracking the ceiling of my garage she after REPEATEDLY stating to please send a flat bed truck and a jumper pack so I can drive the car onto the street.Once complaint filed with AAA they confirmed that the notes were correct send battery pack, customer will drive car on top street after jump, and driver will put on flatbed and tow to dealership Upon receipt of the first call back, you are informed that if you want to bring the vehicle to a AAA approved service center they will pick the car up in 60 minutes v the 1.5-4 hour estimate. This is NOT AAA calling you this is Quality Auto calling you and dispatching to their OWN facility.Lisa, Essence, and Jason assume to be AAA representatives and try to convince you of a 10% discount and 2 year warranty on parts anywhere in the country if a breakdown happens. Yet this is a PRIVATE garage with some AAA stamp that ER ally deters you from bringing the car to the dealership despite REPEATEDLY stating I no longer want to get towed to their garage after they followed ZERO instructions and damaged our garage cellingI can't state enough how much to NOT use this garage and to take your car to a trusted source. This is the SAME scam from 1980 to 2023. Nothings changed.AAA should remove this from their trusted resources as I'm not sure if it's just malicious or down right incompetent.

Highly recommend!! The technician are very understanding and well spoken. Any questions I asked they have an answer. Owner of the shop is very direct and straight forward about what s going on and on point with orders that are needed for the vehicle.

They are a substandard shop. They tried to put old parts on my car after I paid for all new parts. Very careless on the storage of your car while waiting on parts for repairs. Someone stole a bag from the back seat with my personal belongings in it. Beware! They are not good people.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! Needed a tow because my car wouldn t start. The guy on the phone was very nice and said you should take your car to my shop, if you leave it outside of another mechanic shop it s not safe. I said that sounds fine. But Here we are TWO MONTHS later and I STILL don t have my car back! First it was the wiring and they couldn t figure it out so they sent it to the Jeep dealership to get looked at. I just so happened to call them today and Jason said, oh now we need to replace your radio .I said ok so when was someone going to call me to notify of that????? He s like oh I m sorry I thought my boss did that already I had to call my insurance company to notify them on how to fill out paperwork. I also received a ticket while my car was at there shop THESE PEOPLE ARE UNPROFESSIONAL! MIGHT AS WELL TAKE YOUR CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP than to deal with these people!!!!!!

I wish I could give negative stars to this auto body shop. My experience with this auto body shop was an absolute nightmare. From the moment I gave them my car, it was clear that customer service was at the bottom of their priority list. The staff was rude and dismissive, as if my business was an inconvenience to them. The forged my signature on a insurance check for the work. Communication was practically nonexistent. I was promised updates throughout the process, but I had to chase them down for any information. When I finally managed to get someone on the phone, they provided vague and contradictory explanations that left me even more frustrated, kept reassuring me the work was being done, when clearly for a month they had my vehicle and nothing was done. When I went to see for my self what was done, to my surprise everyone was high and smoking weed. Overall, this auto body shop is a prime example of how not to run a business. Their lack of professionalism, poor workmanship, and blatant disregard for customer satisfaction make them deserving of the lowest rating possible. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I came to this shop to patch my tire. After they finished, they told me they lost my wheel lock key. Better yet, the tire wasn't even patched properly. It went flat after two days. Now isn't that something? I'm left with a flat tire which can't even be removed. Magnificently fabulous.

Took my car here because I had a tire that had been leaking for weeks. I arrived at 4:15pm and by 5pm they had assessed the issue (embedded nail), removed and repaired the tire, put the tire back on and checked the pressure on all tires. I also had them give a rough estimate for a scratch/dent on my door from where a driver at my parking garage had hit my car, and my parking garage's insurance had cut me a check for what they thought it would cost. They told me they thought they could do the body work for equal to or less than the amount the garage insurance gave me for the damage, and in addition they didn't charge me anything for my tire repair as a show of good faith. I will definitely be back.

They left my car on the edge on their garage driveway with the doors unlocked. Whole car was tossed and my jacket was stolen also had to go to the Honda dealership to have my wheels realigned after just paying to have them aligned here. I had 1 flat tire, they replaced all 4. Whole car was shaking around 50mph. 2 of the tires were put on wrong, they were labeled inside meaning they don t go on the outside.

My car was towed here after overheating in Midtown and the team quickly assessed the repairs needed (ouch) but fixed it very speedily and thoroughly. After bringing it to the dealership the next week for its oil change, the dealer did additional work saying it was critical, costing me more time and money. I called Ian at the shop to share the dealer s thoughts (and my bill) and he patiently and politely helped reframe the issue - acting like an advocate for me where the dealer may have been too conservative and too exorbitantly priced. He refunded the duplicate work the dealer mandated I do in the spirit of keeping me comfortable as a customer. I was a first time client of his, but after this experience, I would go back without question, and will share this recommendation with my NYC car owner friends. Thank you Ian and team!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Spent nearly $6000 on a lemon. Called them multiple times with no response or call back. In 5 weeks multiple parts of the car broke. Buyer beware on these crooks.Edit: after "repairs" I noticed my car had no gas in it. THEY ARE SO PETY THEY SIPHONED MY GAS. Ian is a dumb moron.

I am Upset with there service andtheir demeanor. They were rude when I called about my car and they would just keep me on hold. I only went there because GEICO recommended me to go there. They fixed my transmission and axle but when I picked up the car there was noises coming from car. I returned the car to them. They said they couldn t find what was wrong or hear the noise until I got on the car with them. They kept the car and did nothing for two weeks. I finally just went and picked up my car, hopefully I don t get in an accident or worse die because of there negligence.Just terrible!!! I will Never, Never go there again.Service: Transmission

My wife and daughter were driving from Penn St to NY to look for wedding dresses when our cars alternator went out. Quality came out after hours to tow the car and they also made sure my wife and daughter were safe since the car broke down in an unsafe neighborhood. Since this was a holiday weekend and closed on the coming Tuesday, they committed to fixing the car the next day so my wife and daughter could get back to Penn St. They were very professional and did a great job with the repair. I'm extremely grateful. Thks Quality

So I called AAA today to get my car towed to my regular mechanic. I went through the usual online service call process. I was waiting for the truck supposedly dispatched by AAA when someone called me and asked if I wanted to switch to a AAA affiliated garage- Quality Auto. I declined, the truck took way longer to reach me- almost 90 mins longer than the online estimate. The truck finally arrived and the driver Mooky was persistent about switching the garage to Quality Auto. He said I would get a discount, I wouldn t have to ride along, yada yada. Meanwhile I kept getting texts from AAA asking if I still needed a tow. I smelled a scam and checked the reviews. So glad I did, as it looks like I dodged a bullet by insisting that the car get towed to my preferred garage. Seems to be a pretty old scheme going on here and AAA confirmed that a third party dispatched the truck and that their drivers never act as agents for repair shops. Trust your intuition and the reviews from real people. About the only part of old New York that s left is the scams.

Absolute worst repair shop ever. The female that answers the phone talked me into having my car towed there, said they were an certified BMW repair shop they charged 2x what the parts cost, and the work was poor, all sorts of warning lights were on after my car was fixed (?they never reassembled half of the sensors). On top of all that, when I picked up the car the inside was filthy, greasy and dusty. They charge more than the dealership does for labor and the work is nowhere near the quality. The same woman then called me at 4:45 on a Friday to tell me the car was ready, and that I had to bring cash and pick it up by 6 ( gave me about an hour to get to midtown) or else it would be $100 a day for storage. Great way to treat their customers that just overpaid for a repair.Fast forward 1 week and the car was dead. You guessed it, everything they overcharged me for had to be replaced, fortunately this time I went to the dealer and they fixed it correctly. These clowns shouldn t be allowed anywhere near vehicles. Just one look at their disgusting dirty shop shows you how much pride they take in their work.

I wish I could give zero stars. At around 9 pm my car broke down, I called AAA and 5 hours later, a tow truck arrived from Quality Auto Services. The technician was named Tilo and he was rude, misogynistic, and bad at his job. He had me try the car and it started for a minute and he told me I should just drive home, (even though this was an obvious clue that the alternator was not working). I explained that it had been stalling all night and that I didn t want to get stuck on the highway. He kept asking me why I wanted to pay money when I could just go and then he said I was stupid for staying. After insulting my intelligence, he decided to try and scam me for more money (you ll see similar reports in other reviews). Tilo told me that he was only authorized to take me to the initial address I had given AAA even though I had called back to change the address when the wait increased. He told me I could pay him cash (over $100) to take me farther but that it would cost more if he called it into AAA. It seemed fishy so I told him to call it in. I was sitting in the car with my wife and he was on the phone with AAA and telling them to give us a discount because we were beautiful women. At some point the person on the other end said yes to what I assume was a fake discount and Tilo thought he deserved praise for his hard work so he leaned his head into the window of my car, told us to say thank you and said smile for me baby, adding sexual harassment to his earlier insults. At this point I was completely disgusted but I also just wanted to get home. He sent me a link and I paid $56 for this horrible experience to be over.We indicated on the form that we wanted to ride in the tow truck but Tilo said that according to Covid policy, we weren t allowed to. This is inaccurate because I ve been in AAA tow trucks since Covid and you are simply required to wear a mask. Instead he had us stay in the car, which he loaded on top of the truck. It felt extremely unsafe. We spent the whole ride worried about the car dislodging from the truck every time it went over a bump. After a long ride where he ran red lights and drove in multiple lanes we made it home after 3am.I sent an email with this information to Quality Auto Services and never heard back so I called them. The representative did not apologize or offer any remediation. He instead told me that the driver had never gotten a complaint before and that his recounting of the story was the opposite of mine, implying that I was lying. I said that often women don t complain when they re in situations like this because they fear they will not be believed and he said that wasn t true either, essentially proving my point about women not being believed. So not only was I treated in a manner that was disrespectful, rude, and unsafe by an employee, but when I tried to report it, I was told that I was wrong about my own experience, and about the experiences of women at large. If you ever need a tow truck, it is better to wait all night then to let these people anywhere near you.
