Car died at the Lansing Market. I walked down and Pat took great care of me. Drove me up to my car to check personally on it. Towed it down to shop and gave me a couple estimates of problems. Very upfront and honest and easy to work with. Diagnosed the problem when he got it on the lift and completed the work for a very reasonable price. Great spot. Busy place.

Always upfront brutally straightforward no in between games. You tell him what you need done and he does that if he feels something else should be addressed he mentions it to you. Fair! Also family ran keeping money local

I went here awhile ago and was happy with their work.I just called today and ask about some estimates for a couple of my cars and I was told I m not really interested in doing all that in a rather rude tone. Neither of the jobs were very labor intensive and I felt rather let down, and swatted aside by the person who answered the phone. I guess I will not be going back there :(

A truly harrowing experience. My car's alternator broke down last night. I called AAA, and the person who came to tow my car recommended�Phoenix Auto. Dropped the car off and called them this morning. Got immediately screamed at, "Why are you calling me when I just came in?!!! I explained that I dropped off the car last night and needed to have it fixed soon. - Just stop!!! Stop right there!!! I need to go to the yard and look at your car! If say ONE MORE WORD, I am done with you! . I called the towing service that recommended Phoenix Auto last night. They concurred that I probably should not be screamed at... and recommended another place in downtown Ithaca. I called the other car service and explained the situation. They replied (politely and professionally) that they could take the car in and get the alternator fixed by the end of today. Got my car re-towed to another place. At additional expense, but I had a bizarre feeling that people who didn't start their business relationship with me by yelling would end up doing a better job. Sure enough, the car was ready to go by 12:15 pm. My first "experience" with Phoenix Auto and, needless to say, the last one. I have never encountered such rudeness and unprovoked insolence towards a potential customer before .

When I called this place to see what the damage was to my car after my auto accident these people were very vague and did not give me any strait answers. I had to get my boyfriend to call them and get answers out of them, because obviously they weren't going to tell me! And the person who picked up the phone gave my man attitude! My man was not impressed either and reminded them that he is the customer and you cant treat your customers like that! Only after that, did I receive better service. I do not recommend this place at all, stay away!

I have been taking my cars to Phoenix for several years now. Pat's the best--ask for him. I have taken my car there to be fixed for various things, and Pat has let me leave with it without having to pay because another part was coming in and I was going to have to bring it back in a week. I've also had Pat look at a problem with my car, and if he couldn't fix it, I didn't have to pay a penny--not even after he spent hours on my car and ordered parts that ended up not going into my car. So yeah, it's not a boutique garage, but Pat is as honest as the day is long. I don't take my cars anywhere else.

They don't even post their opening times online which is annoying if you want to get your vehicle booked in for an emergency repair the next day. It feels like every single time I go there they always tell me one price and when I come over to pay they give me another price. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

I called today June 1st 2022 to see if i can bring in my car for diagnostic testing because every other shops in Ithaca are all booked for the next two weeks explained to the guy what lights are showing on my dashboard and also I was trying to explain to this unprofessional rude guy that when I m trying to drive the speed of my car will not go more then 8 . I was trying to ask him if car battery is dying and that s that reason I don t have enough power so I can just buy that and replace it so I can make it to this shop , he replay's back with his loud rude voice it could be 100 things ,then he screams for me to have my car towed to them . I may be Foreign female and with accent but I would never have my car towed to this shop for any car repairs after this .this place is RACIST ,RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL , I would not recommend them no anyone .

AWFUL!!!! Stay AWAY!!! They "fixed" my car for 700$, and 2 days later I had MAJOR issues with it again!!! My whole timing belt and pulley system FELL off!!! When I called to tell them what had happened, they said they would "look" at it. Then, they didn't know whether or not they were going to charge me for there mistake! The men there were RUDE ASSHOLES!!! I am a woman, and they took FULL advantage of that!

Requested a heater core flush and received a radiator flush. An inspection and registration was also noted on the invoice as being due. The car is registered out of state and inspections are not required.

Work done well. They were willing to use parts I purchased elsewhere, and when I noticed an issue after my truck was there they fixed it immediately. Reccomend.

Brought my truck in for an inspection, they took a pry bar to the frame and busted a hole through it, then wanted me to pay them to fix it. I will never do business there again.

I woke up today to two slashed tires called the shop and cant get new ones till Monday so to help me out the garage put two used tires on for me until the new ones come in and did it right away and didn't ask for athing its nice to know that ther are still good honest decent people out there I will never use anyone else thank you phoenix auto so much
