We had a great stay at the Adirondack Inn this weekend. Every staff member we encountered was so friendly and accommodating, and they go above and beyond to make your stay nice.To be honest, the building itself is a little older and dated. That didn t bother us, but if you re looking for a luxury stay you may not be happy here. That being said, the staff goes out of their way to work with what they have. Everything was spotless, the pool area was full of fresh clean towels, and the breakfast was presented nicely and refilled often. The hotel is located in a great spot for walking around town, and we particularly enjoyed a soak in the hot tub and sauna after skating and hiking in the cold.

First of all, this hotel is in a great location for hockey tournaments held at the Olympic rinks. Major issue is the parking, the lot is very tight with no ability to turn around. See attached photo. This makes getting out of the paeking lot very difficult if other cars are trying to get in and out. Note: there is no thru traffic so you are stuck if you get jammed. The bed I slept on had some stiff springs, which drove me nuts all night; however, my son slept well. It looks like they tried to renovate the rooms, which is good, but it still has 70's decor. The 70s green bathtub gave me flashbacks to my youth in 1976, luckily I have fond memories of my childhood, (especially the 80s). Wood paneling can be found throughout the building which looks old but it fits in with most of the hotels around here. The floors are very creaky, so I am thankful they put me on the 2nd floor. The only issue I ran into was the slope of the floor. My balance isn't very good in the dark and inclinations/declination can trip me when I am expecting a flat floor. These things aren't a big deal, I am just being honest. The parking was workable, but with drivers from Canada it can get very dicey.

We can't wait to come back next year! The hotel staff was amazing. They went out of their way to accomodate our group. We were at a hockey tournament with 30 rowdy, 12-year-old boys. The staff was kind to them and helped them find places to play and things to do that would not bother other guests. They kept a warm fire and place for the adults to congregate. We could not have enjoyed the experience more!Nearby activities: We loved being across the street from the Olympic Center where we could watch the ECAC championship, hockey tournaments, and go to the museum. We also love a barbecue restaurant in front of the hotel. So many things to do near by!Walkability: This location was perfect. We could easily walk to everything. We parked our car when we arrived and never moved it. We were there for four days and did a lot of dining out, getting ice-cream, visiting local sites, and we walked to it all.

My stay at the Best Western Adirondack Inn was nothing short of marvelous! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, providing insights into the local area and catering to every need. The room itself was a haven of tranquility. With plush bedding, modern amenities, and a view that took my breath away, it was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring Lake Placid. The cleanliness and attention to detail in the room were impeccable. What truly set this Inn apart was its location. Nestled in the scenic beauty of the Adirondacks, it was a stone's throw away from the serene Mirror Lake and the bustling Main Street. Whether I wanted to indulge in outdoor activities or explore local shops and eateries, everything was within easy reach. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful way to start the day. The variety and quality of food were excellent, with enough options to please any palate. The highlight of my stay was the cozy, fireside lounge area. It was the perfect spot to unwind and mingle with other guests, sharing stories of our adventures in Lake Placid. In conclusion, the Best Western Adirondack Inn isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience. It blends comfort, convenience, and the natural beauty of Lake Placid into an unforgettable getaway. I can't recommend it enough and can't wait to return!

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My hockey team was in Lake Placid for a tournament weekend. The no teeth tattooed bonehead threatened our kids daily. He stated he was going to kick them out. 9 year old children. Kids were running and playing knee hockey. Stan the manager could not make a decision or understand his own rules. Very confrontational!!!! The worst experience !! Teams avoid avoid avoid this hotel.

Our family has been staying at the Adirondack Inn for many years. Hands down, our favorite place to stay in Lake Placid! The rooms are great and the staff make you feel at home. And the breakfast buffet is terrific. It's in a spacious, well appointed room that truly makes you feel at home. And the location is perfect...easy walking distance to everything downtown Lake Placid has to offer.

Stayed here recently for a trip to Lake placid. Atmosphere is quite dated but there was great amenities for the price. Hot tub, sauna, indoor pool, workout center, good continental breakfast, and coffee/hot cocoa around the clock. Overall, rooms were well sized and reasonable. The balconies are shared which was not apparent from the website.Overall would stay again, but would recommend some updates to the interior.

The hotel was in a perfect spot across from the Olympic ice rink and museum. Plenty of shops and food choices surrounding the hotel are all within walking distance. The lake and a small beach with trails located behind the hotel.Rooms: The rooms were nice and very comfortable.Food & drinks: Breakfast was served w a nice variety on a daily basis. Coffee and a variety of juices were available. There also were cereals, yogurt, fruits and plenty of seating.

We have been going to the Adirondack inn for 7 years and has repeatedly had excellent service and cleanliness each year we have been. The location is the best you can get! Our room overlooked the Olympic center and ice rink. You can walk everywhere, the lake is right behind the hotel. The hotel might be dated but I like that, It is clean everywhere. The rooms, the nice sitting area with a fire, the sauna and pool area, spotless. Covid regs meant breakfast was different this year, but still delicious and free. Missed the waffles. The beds were so comfy and linens and pillows excellent. The owners Jim and Chris are sweet and always willing to help. And Kim at desk and Gloria on breakfast kept us happy and well taken care of.Will return every year!!!

Location Location Location! Conveniently tucked away at the beginning of the main downtown road where all the shops and restaurants are. The staff was very friendly and accommodated my boyfriend and I on a last minute reservation when every where else was fully booked. That being said we did pay $326.00 including tax which felt like a premium for being summer. The hotel was clean, and decor is meant to look like an antique cabin with lots of dark stained wood accents which I found to be charming giving the lake and ski feel this town has. The room was a premium king with balcony and had very high ceilings to make the room feel big. Bed was big and comfortable and only weird thing was the balcony is shared the length of the hotel so people can technically walk up to your door so we kept our curtains closed at night. The hotel has free parking, free to-go breakfast from 7-10am due to covid protocol and a nice swimming pool. I would say people were wearing masks and hotel was clean inside and out. Great access to mirror lake right next to it. Would say price is steep but for a best Western it's one of the better ones so pricing while not the best given area accomodations were good to make our stay pleasant.

Rooms need a bit of updating and parking spots are a bit tight. The staff is excellent and very accommodating. The pool temperature was perfect for just jumping in.Rooms: Need some updating but otherwise pretty comfortable beds.Nearby activities: Lots of shops, plenty of eating spots, and a small beach behind the hotel. Across the street from the Lake Placid "Miracle on Ice" ice rink and museum.Safety: Lots of cameras in premises. Pool closes at 10pm.Walkability: All food eateries and shops are in walking distance.

Sauna never got hot. Hot tub hygiene appeared questionable but after 8hrs of hiking still felt great. Pool looked immaculate. Beds were comfy. Breakfast was better than most. Lounge areas were cozy and comfortable. Walking distance to shops restaurants bars even a Stewarts for late snacks. Would stay there again.

The location bring right downtown made it perfect for walking along Main St. However, the floor in the bathroom was wicked slippery. I was surprised my friend and I didn't fall. I wanted to tell the desk clerk of my concerns when we checked out, but the clerk was apparently helping with breakfast and was nowhere to be found. The floor in our room appeared to be carpet squares stuck to the subfloor with no padding. The game room was just a ping pong table at the bottom of the steps. It was especially disappointing considering we stayed at another hotel on the other end of Main St the night before for about the same price and had a beautiful room with good amenities.

The location of the hotel is great. The exterior and the lobby/breakfast area are both very attractive. The hallways were a bit dingy/dark. Room was okay but again a little dark. Beds very comfortable. Service was great - had to ask for a few things and the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pool was nice but the hot tub was not quite hot enough for my taste! There was also a spa and changing area with shower that was very nice. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Very pleased with our stay and felt the price was fair for what we got.

My boyfriend and I made reservations for our anniversary weekend and enjoyed our stay. Small and cozy hotel, close to the public beach on the lake, easy walk to all the stores on Main Street, simple and comfy room, friendly staff all around. The breakfast was better than we expected, with exceptional staff checking on us. The patio is shared with the other rooms, but no issues with that. Overall, pleasant stay :)

Location was perfect (except for construction to update the olympic facilities, but we did not hear it in our room). Walking distance into town. Peek a boo view of Mirror Lake. Room and bathroom clean and beds comfy BUT whole facility is dark, smells musty and stale and could use some basic updates. Front desk staff friendly and helpful.

We had a great experience here! We originally didn't have any expectations and had booked a more expensive hotel, but someone gifted us BW points. We are so glad we stayed here. The staff was great, we were even greeted with smiles and "good mornings" in the hallways in route to breakfast in the hallways. The room was clean and well put together. The hotel itself is very cute, the lobby, breakfast area, and recreation/pool are clean and organized. For a continental breakfast, it was good. We loved having an outdoor access room and the fact it was only a 5 minute walk to downtown and all the shops. There were lots of restaurants super close, and the hotel is just far enough away to be nice and quiet. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would return.

Great location, clean rooms but needs some updates! Across from the Olympic Center and on the main strip with restaurants and shops the location of the hotel is great. The rooms were clean, they have a great breakfast that is included with your stay. They could update the rooms with more modern amenities and their fitness center is very outdated. Overall a great place to stay in Lake Placid.

Room was very clean; we had a nice partial view of the lake from our room with a nice balcony. Hotel was quiet, beds were comfortable and we were able to sleep peacefully. Pool and hot tub were very clean and so was the pool area. My only suggestion would be to have a few life jackets available for guests to use and child size ones. The breakfast was good although I wish there was more of a variety. But all in all we had a great stay and would definitely come back!

I was expecting a more up to date hotel, based on the pictures on the internet. There was a small hole on the inside of the bathroom door of our room, the toilet seat was missing one of two stand-offs and there were cheerios under the sofa. The bed and bedding was comfortable and clean. I paid extra for a balcony room, but the balcony was in my opinion in rough shape, safe but with weathered, painted plywood floors. Additionally our balcony overlooked the rear service lot, the roof to the pool and a private residence directly across the lot from us, not very scenic and not worth the up-charge we paid. The price was far too high ($217 plus $28 for fees and taxes) based on these things alone. We stayed on the second floor. Use caution because it's a split level stair case coming up from the lobby, also there's a strange ramp built next to the steps going up the second set of stairs toward the front of the building, which in my opinion is a fall hazard. The location is good, right across from the Olympic ice arena, close by shopping and dining. The staff was accommodating too since the pool shut early the first day we were there, and they let us check out later the next day so the kids could get a swim in. Overall, the stay was okay, and met most of our family needs but a price of $150 or less would be more reasonable for this place, and I've stayed at nicer places for less in this village. Maybe better attention to cleaning (during the Covid-19 pandemic) and maintenance would be welcome too. Also the place needs updating.

Great hotel. Beautiful rustic decor and a fireplace to sit by. Plenty to do for the adults and the kids including swimming, hot tub, sauna, and ping pong. The location was perfect, directly across from the ice rinks and walking distance to the shops and restaurants down Main Street. We did not have to use our car once during our stay!! The rooms were spacious and well done. Best part of the stay was the staff. They were courteous, helpful, accommodating, patient, and funny. Made you feel right at home. I would highly recommend!!!

Great Hotel! The rooms were roomy and spacious and very clean. The decor was a little dated, but it felt rustic...not old. The staff was super friendly and helpful. My boys really enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub! We would definitely stay here again!

The place is dated but we'll maintained. The swimming pool was room temperature so it was not usable despite what the desk clerk said. The gym / weigh room was functional. The hotel is located in down town Lake Placid on the main drag. Lake Placid is a very mellow place. So within walking distance there are some many good restaurants within walking distance. My room was comfortable. The staff was always polite and very accommodating. I will stay there again.

This it the place to be!! Perfect location and convenience for your visit to Lake Placid. We participated in a hockey tournament and this hotel was the BEST choice. It was clean, comfortable, convenient, but MOST IMPORTANTLY had the most wonderful staff you could possibly find. They were so accomodating, friendly, and welcoming to our hockey team of 9 year old boys. Many hotels are not very "kid friendly" and they don't let the kids enjoy themselves. The staff at Best Western went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay! Dean, Rob, Matt, Gloria and the others really made it a terrific experience and we will 100% request this hotel when we return next year!!
