I have been bringing all my cars to the Lake Grove location for many years now anytime we need repairs or maintenance. Each time I have had a wonderful experience! Carl is extremely helpful and efficient. Derek is a knowledgeable technician and Lee is amazing as well! They are all professional and great at their craft! Highly recommended!!

I took my truck in for an oil change and tires. The mechanic, Andrew, explained why my tires wore unevenly and helped me decide on the best repair for my price range. The manager, Carl, helped me understand the pricing breakdown and process of the repair. They were very transparent and extremely professional. The work was done quickly, and my truck now rides like it's brand new again!

The Pep Boys in Lake Grove is my go to for all things car. Carl is usually managing in the front area . By the time I get my car in, I'm pretty worried about the condition of my vehicle. Carla greets me by my name and a smile. He answers my many many questions with patience. When Carl's there, I always leave with the smile. Thanks Carl I appreciate you!

Tommy was great, a real gentlemen and helpful. Was able to multitask with phone other clients and still make me feel not forgotten about. The shop was well kept and fast / efficient amidst a renovation. They were even able to acquire an oil filter and squeeze in an oil change whilst I had them swap out 4 new tires. In at 2:30, picked up before 6. Tommy and the crew were top notch, thanks boys!

Carl is the best part of Pep boys! I ve been going here for years and it s mostly because of how upbeat and helpful Carl has always been. Pep boys is lucky to have him. On weekends the location is packed and Carl never stops juggling the constantly ringing phone and customers standing in line. Great manager - deserves a raise!

I contacted Pep Boys Auto in Lake Grove to arrange an installation for my Cadillac CTS headlights which I already purchased. The appointment I made was for the next day. I made it abundantly clear on the phone that the process was intricate and required removing the front bumper. The staff member (wish I had gotten her name) I spoke with confirmed they could handle the task with no issue. Yet, upon my arrival, I was met with a dismissive attitude from an employee named Carl, who informed me that they lacked the manpower for such a task. This was in stark contrast to the promise made to me just a day earlier. Having previously relied on this location for similar services, I am perplexed and disappointed by this sudden incapability. It s clear to me now that seeking out alternative establishments for future automotive needs is the best course of action, as this experience has eroded my trust in this shop s competence and customer service.

Gave 1 star because 0 was not an option. Went to have an alignment done on my SUV because tires were wearing unevenly. Mind you, truck was driving perfectly fine at the time. Waited 2 hours and got my truck back with paperwork showing wheels still not within required specs. Was advised this was the "best they could do". Huh? Attempted to leave only to find truck is now pulling to the right so bad that I can't even drive in a straight line. Direction keeps shifting from side to side. Incredibly dangerous! Returned immediately. After waiting another 6 hours was then advised they could not align the wheels due to factory settings but still charged me for the service. Steering wheel is now tilted 20 degrees to right now when the wheels are straight and can barely drive it. Was not offered refund, only told to come back after having tapered bolts installed in struts and they would then align it. Had parts they requested installed by another mechanic and took off another day of work to complete the alignment with them. Arrived only to be advised that they now won't touch truck because of "liability issues". Refund was finally issued. So, after two days (almost 8 hours total) at their service station and taking two days off from work, I ended up with my truck far worse then when I brought it in and they are now unwilling to correct it. Be cautious! Do yourself a favor and pay a few extra dollars and deal with a professional, rebuttable shop!

Easy to make a reservation. The App and text messaging was informative. The service people I dealt with were professional and the service I had done (battery replacement) was great. They handed paperwork back that showed they checked other things on my car.First time using them and I will definitely go back!

Very friendly, attentive, and transparent. They did the job well and fast as we were a walk-in customer. One of our tires was leaking air slowly. They determined it was a nail and repaired the tire at a very low cost. Will be back again!

Alex and Carl at the Lake Grove location always give great customer service. From the time I call for my appointment, through the process of having my car serviced, I am always am.greeted with a smile and willingness to help. It is always a pleasure dealing with this location.

I had a very positive experience with getting four new tires installed on my car the service was excellent but the personnel were excellent they explained everything thoroughly the only issue I had was that the pricing was a little vague in that the price sent to me via email was not truly the price that the deal was intended to have. It was a buy three get one free deal on Cooper tires one price was shown but the deal was on three tires at the list price not the price shown.

Extremely great experience blew 1 back tire & they let me know I had another one in very bad shape I should also replace. Tommy went above & beyond to make it affordable for me & I left a very happy customer! So nice, patient & willing to go the extra mile for the customer

I called for a New York State inspection on my Tesla. They told me I could come over immediately. Processing took two minutes and the car was done in ten minutes. I dealt with a different clerk to close out. Both were very courteous.A pleasant experience all around.

I took 2 cars to have oil change Alex was great, kind, and very smiley which is important in this world we live. The service was quick n thoroughly checked. Everything!!! Everyone who worked there was pleasant. I am very happy with this service.

I went for an oil change and tire rotation. They did the work as promised and provided a useful report. The waiting area was horrible, and the rest room provided to customers is an outhouse (literally). One of the advisors (I'm assuming he was the manager on duty) was verbally abusing the service workers in the garage area the whole time I was there. He was screaming at the top of his lungs using profanity. I felt myself feeling pity for the workers for having to endure it. I don't know the man's name but he was black.Hire better managers that don't abuse your people.

My daughter was heading back to school when her battery died! After a temp jump start, we went to Pep Boys in Lake Grove. Carl took great care of us! My daughter was back on the road in under an hour! Amazing service during a very stressful time!

PepBoys came through. Dead battery on freezing cold weekend. They were the only place that had in stock and able to install the same day. I was in and out in 1.5 hrs. Not to bad for a Sunday. Thank you Tommy and the crew at PepBoys Lake Grove

I've been taking my car here for years, and I most likely still will, but I came in for an oil change at noon on a Thursday, they said it would be done before 2, I come back at 3pm expecting everything is all set. They didn't even touch my car yet. Alright, fine, it happens but no call, no text, nothing is what I have a problem with. Don't wait until I am in font of you with a screaming infant to tell me you haven't begun working on my 10 minute job.

Carl and the rest of the staff at pep boys are top notch! They're honest and straightforward which can be hard to find with car mechanics.I take my car to Pep Boys for basic maintenance when needed and they handle my car with care.You should try them, I promise you'll be pleasantly surprised.
