We've been coming here for a few years now. Lake Placid has always been a favorite and now we only stay at the Snow Goose! Wayne & Amy are excellent hosts who provide everything that's needed in an Adirondack escape. Their beautiful home is the perfect setting...so much so that we decided to get married in front of the fireplace! It was absolutely perfect! Don't hesitate to book your room today!

We were stuck in a snow storm around 10PM in the cold winter night. Fortunately we saw Snow Goose Bed and Breakfast along the road and decided to try our luck. Wayne was so nice to open the door and let us in. He managed to get a bedroom with bathroom for our family of 4, so we had a warm and peaceful night instead of driving 20mph in the snow to find the next hotel, which is probably 40 miles away. The room was clean and neat. The next morning, Wayne prepared hot breakfast for us. The dining room was so charming and the background music was very relaxing. After finishing the breakfast, I can tell our entire family were happy, and not nervous about the snow storm anymore. We safely drove back home 5 hours later. Thanks to Wayne and Snow Goose Bed and Breakfast. I hope we could come back to stay longer in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay with Wayne, Amy, and Leo the cat! They were very gracious hosts of a beautiful inn right in the heart of the Adirondacks. The rooms were cozy and breakfasts were delicious. By special request, we were allowed to have Breakfast with Leo the morning we left! We will absolutely return to the Snow Goose should we be in the area again.

This place is just a darling gem. I felt like I had arrived to magical Christmas in the middle of the forest - a warm, beautiful antique house filled with all the care and detail in the world. Wish we could have stayed for longer.Every detail you could think of is in the room. The beds are comfortable, the shower has good pressure and the fireplace makes the room all cozy.Amy and Wayne were just a joy to deal with (to my husband, and to us in the morning with a lovely breakfast). Hope to return next year for more hiking in a truly wonderful area - it s so close to so many trails!

I had a wonderful stay! I stayed three nights to do some high peaks hiking out of the AMR, and this location cannot be beat. The hosts were very accommodating and very helpful. It's a location I'll stay at again as I do more hikes in the area. My room was perfect; my stay was perfect.I came back to my review now having stayed at the Snow Goose several times, and I cannot say enough about how great Amy and Wayne are. They work so hard to make my stay great while at the same time putting me at ease. Having stayed a handful of times now, I really see how hard they work and how good they are. I've had good stays at other B&Bs, but my stays here are the best.My first review was six years ago. Now after four long years away from the Adirondacks I finally made it back. The Snow Goose was the logical place to stay because of the hospitality, beautiful setting, and the location. The hosts and the B&B were every bit as wonderful as I remembered, and we reminisced over past stays. I can't wait to be back!

Snow Goose is a tucked-away farm house style B&B in Keene Valley. Great location for hikers, very quiet, homey, well maintained and furnished. They make great omelets. Our only suggestion to the hosts is to provide a little more light in the rooms. We recommend Snow Goose.Nearby activities: There are numerous trail heads to hiking trails to the high peaks that are only a few miles away.

This is my second time staying at Snow Goose, and will hopefully be returning for a long time. Wayne and Amy are kind and thorough hosts with the nicest touches (like Wayne cleaned off my car/other guests cars after a snowy night). Also, the breakfast is the bomb! Cinnamon roll pancakes are my favourite.Amazing location, close to all the hiking and outdoor adventures you could imagine. 10/10

From the moment that my husband and I walked into the Snow Goose Bed and Breakfast, I felt a sense of peace. Wayne and Amy have successfully cultivated a cozy, welcoming space in which their guests can relax and rejuvenate. Our room, Passages, had gorgeous hardwood floors, a bathroom with a copper sink and a glass shower, and a king-sized bed with a lovely, wooden headboard. We were very grateful for the complimentary snacks and for the printed "Blessing for an Adirondack Traveler" that Wayne and Amy so thoughtfully left for us in the room. The Snow Goose's location was perfect for us; it was 5 minutes from the wedding that we attended. We took a beautiful, 20-minute drive to visit Lake Placid and we thoroughly enjoyed being surrounded by the forests in their Fall splendor. We can't wait to go back to the Snow Goose Bed and Breakfast!

Amy and Wayne were great hosts, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was amazing for our high peak destination! They were so accommodating in providing a packed breakfast, creamer in our fridge for my coffee, and then the cooked breakfast the next day. We could not tell they had a dog at all except for the sign on their door (although I was disappointed not to meet their furry friend!) It is not a worry if you don't like dogs. We definitely plan to return there for another high peak adventure!

I can't recommend the Snow Goose more highly. We stayed one night in the "Harmonies" room and it was comfortable, snug, cozy and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Most of all, Wayne and Amy were generous, helpful, and accommodating hosts. They had great suggestions for day hikes that were appropriate to our level, some of which can be accessed directly from the property. The Snow Goose is nestled right in the heart of the Adirondack High Peaks area, and the location cannot be more convenient. My only regret was that we didn't stay longer. There's so much to explore in the High Peaks and Snow Goose is a great base camp. If you want to explore the High Peaks, this is your place!

I can't say enough good about our recent stay at Snow Goose. The room with private bath was perfect. The bed was so comfortable, the room was spacious, spotless and very pretty. The bath was updated and immaculate. There was coffee available and we received a packed breakfast because we were leaving to hike very early, so Amy made sure we had something to eat before leaving. Our breakfast the second day was delicious and the coffee was so so good. We had a lovely conversation with Amy and Wayne and will absolutely return for another visit. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and comfortable house with old charm and modern convenience. I have back issues and the comfortable King bed & day bed in the large room were wonderful surprise. Treating myself to sauna was an equally pleasant experience. Hosts provided healthy and delicious breakfast over which we had nice conversations with fellow guests. I find Keene valley and its surrounding high peaks area more peaceful than larger towns up north. I will definitely return to hike other small mountains in the area.

Great hosts, great place, great location!! While Amy wasn't there the weekend we stayed, Wayne was the most pleasant host and a fabulous cook. The eggs and pancakes were out of this world, and the omelet was a perfect way to start a hike! Everything was very clean and Wayne was extremely accommodating with COVID and always wore a mask around us. Our room (Harmonies) was spacious, warm, and super clean. Plus the bathroom was amazing! I think we might have found our go-to spot for all of our ADK adventures.

I rented a room in the fall with the reservation cancellation policy due to weather (I came to hike). I ended up having to cancel and reschedule that stay. No issues whatsoever. Love staying here. The room was really nice with a large king size bed and a smaller twin size, refrigerator, and really nice newly remodeled bathroom. The host left us breakfast in the refrigerator for our early hike and lots of snacks in the room. So cute! Would definitely stay here again and refer friends to this spot.

Snow Goose is a lovely little B&B just outside the little village of Keene Valley. It's close to a few of our favourite Adirondack trails, such as Mt Hopkins. My partner and I have stayed there at least once a year since the B&B opened 8 or 9 years ago and from the beginning we were completely charmed by the welcome we received from Amy and Wayne. They are truly genuine people, always helpful and friendly without being in the least invasive. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, each with its own personality and private, one from the other. Oh yes, and the breakfasts are delicious too. What more can one want in a B&B!

We had a great time at the snow goose! The room was comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. Amy was away during our visit, but Wayne was a very welcoming and kind host. The house was also close to several great hiking trails, so we didn t have any long drives during our trip.

I generally don't like B&Bs. Usually you feel like you are a guest in a stranger's home. Usually the decor is outdated and lacks modern amenities. Then you have to awkwardly sit at a shared dinning table with a bunch of strangers and make small talk in order to get the free breakfast. Not my thing. BUT none of these things apply to Snow Goose! The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the high peaks region of the Adirondacks. It is right in Keane Valley which is a great little town with food, shopping, etc. It is close to all of the trails you would want to hike in the region. There is even a really, really great hike off the property to Snow Mountain. The hosts Wayne and Amy were incredibly helpful and friendly without being in your way at all. They stay in a completely separate part of the house and there are only 3 guest rooms so we barely heard the other guests while we were there. To say the place is cozy and comfortable would do a disservice to what Amy and Wayne have created. Amy literally wrote a book on home making which you can thumb through during your stay. Breakfast was incredible, with everything you could want. And there are many places to take your breakfast and eat so you don't have to sit at the dinning table with other guests if you don't want to. Oh, and did I mention they offer Sauna treatments? We stayed in the Harmonies room on the second floor. The bed is very comfortable and my wife and I both slept great the whole time. No TV but the Wifi was excellent so you are able to stream video no problem if you bring a device. This place is above and beyond what I have come to expect from the average Bed and Breakfast. Highly recommend it!

These folks really thought of everything. As soon as we arrived, our expectations were not only met but exceeded with a lovely welcome basket of snacks in our pristine and beautifully furnished room. The entire house was extremely sanitary and the owners always wore masks when speaking with us and when serving breakfast. And the breakfast was fantastic! It was consistently delicious and filling; they even played relaxing music during our meal to ease into the morning. The house also features a private infrared sauna which was very rejuvenating after hiking in the snow all day. Both owners are such kind people who genuinely care about the quality of your stay and have plenty of advice about things to do and trails to hike in the area. Roughly a 30 minute drive from the Lake Placid downtown area, this b&b feels both enveloped in nature and close enough to civilization to get to a store or restaurant when you need to. I would love to go back again when it's warmer to experience the different scenery and I know Amy and Wayne would make their house just as exceedingly accommodating as it was this winter!

What can I say... Snow Goose Bed and Breakfast is nothing short of spectacular! Amy and Wayne are some of the most accomodating, warm and inviting hosts me and my, now, fiance have ever had. Their breakfasts were delish! Their rooms are cozy yet spacious and impeccably clean! And, even though we got back within some hours of this post, we are already counting the days until our next trip to the Snow Goose Bed and Breakfast.

We spent a night at the Snow Goose, in the Passages room, as a little getaway. Wayne & Amy were excellent hosts/innkeepers and we felt warm, welcomed and comfortable right from the start. This is very close to many trails for High Peaks and other hikes. We did a snowshoe hike to a waterfall near Snow Mountain, from Wayne's recommendation (walking distance from the place).Breakfast was delicious, with a variety of "continental"-type foods as well as freshly made omelets. The room was beautiful, especially the wide plank floors with the historical feel of the house. The upstairs rooms are very close together, which was fine for us, but something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper (or if you make a lot of noise, that it may disrupt your neighbors' sleep). With all of our time in the ADKs, I can't believe it has taken us so long to spend some time at the Snow Goose. We hope to return for another getaway in the future (and will also check our their "sister inn" a few miles up the road, which is kid- and pet-friendly).Thank you, Wayne & Amy for a wonderful trip!

This place's rustic charm alone is enough to warrant 5 stars, but the owner/operators are worthy of their own star-power. Super friendly and helpful, great breakfasts in the morning (I'll never be able to eat a standard hotel breakfast again), and the Inn is beautiful, quiet and right in the woods. Look no further because this place is IT.

My husband and I stayed at Wayne and Amy's establishment during our honeymoon. What wonderful hosts for newlyweds to have! They spent time with us every morning chatting over delicious breakfasts and giving us tips for exploring the area. They're the perfect balance of being available without hovering. The room was comfortable and spacious, with a cozy fireplace for ambiance. Before we even checked out, we had started talking about coming back to stay again.

Snow Goose is one of the best places to stay in the greater Adirondack area. Not only are the rooms comfy and clean, but more affordable than many bed & breakfasts my fianc and I have stayed in the past.We stayed in the Harmonies room.Pros:- clean- comfy/nice- hospitality- accommodating- bathroom especially niceCons:- mini fridge was sporadically a bit loud, waking us up here and there.Notes:- upstairs bedrooms are close to each other so keep this in mind if you re a very sensitive sleeper or have children.- no TV in our room, but one in a communal room next door.- breakfast at least during the week was more of the continental variety.- location right in the middle of many great hikes, but a bit far from lake placid.

My family stayed at Snow Goose for a few days including New Year's Eve. We enjoyed our stay very much, the room we stayed in was large and welcoming, the house was very warm and the breakfasts were excellent: well prepared, tasteful and healthy! The hosts are wonderful, very responsive and took all necessary measures. It was just the getaway we needed!
