I didn't have an appointment but they still took my car on a busy Saturday morning. Didn't try to upsell me and were fast, efficient, and priced well for the work done. Would definitely recommend them and return!

Asked for a NY state inspection and dropped my car off only for them to try and charge me for a $30 OBD2 Inspection (that I didn't ask for) without telling me. Make sure you double check your bill before they pull a fast one on you.

I came for the time when the appointment was scheduled but I was told to wait an additional 2 hours of the appointment time. When the work was done they tried to sell me extra things for my car which was not needed at all. They said my battery light was on but when I came the battery light wasn t on and when I drove off after the tire installed, the battery light still wasn t on.

The service is Too slow and to fix issues they mess up in my car. Even I called after expending hours waiting to change my car whells. Again I have to wait hours. The girl in the front desk has an excellent customer service. But, the back employees not.

I went there for my tire replacements. For 4 tires according to the company they said my tires have a warranty for 80,000 miles. Recently I had a bubble in my side wall of tire, and it must be replaced or the driving condition will not be safe. But when I went to their store and asked for a replacement ( since I had a warranty) they said they can t do anything, and I have to buy a newtire. What kind of scam is this???

This store 13929 Hillside Avenue location in Jamaica Queens. I bought 4 new tires from them and they removed my existing hubcaps and changed out the tires, but did not install 1 of the hubcap properLy causing it to get lost within 5 minutes of me leaving the location. I returned to inform the Manager and boy lo and behold, he had a nasty attitude, he said and I quote "After a customer left, all else is upon them what go wrong." end quote.BUYER BEWARE, you'll get screwed at this location. Notice, you'll never see any customer there when you go.Suggestion: If you want change tire, go walmart, bj's costco, even amazon will install too $67 installation fee for 4 tires.Goodluck!

After changing the tire, my TPM sensors were damaged by them and they were rude to me. One of the technicians was very unskilled and unprofessional. According to them, it will be fine after running 15 miles. There has been no change. However, the compensation still has not been given. They are blaming me for this like a stupid. They added a warranty without asking me. I will never go there.

How can you have a customer leave your shop with a bent rim after getting 4 new tires?And air presure much over the 33psi recommended and diffrent in each tire 40/37/36/32?And, later to find out that also the TPMS is not reading the proper tires because it was not reset by the mechanic?

Another place I wished I read the reviews about first. I was told it would take about an hour and half so I went to get something to eat. The manager Malik called and said that my car wouldn t start when they went to move it, he said they need to do a diagnostic test that cost $60 I said ok no problem. About 20 mins later I got another phone call from a different worker telling me there are two problems one I need a new battery and two I need a coolant flush. And it would cost all together $560. I said ok I can only pay for the oil change and the diagnostic fees, because I didn t bring enough money with me. And I lived about 20 mins away. I wanted to drive my car home to get more money instead of taking a cab. I asked was the oil change done and she said yes. Then I get another call from Malik telling me he can t let my car go due to some liability issues. And if I m taking my car, he s gonna turn my car off. I m like why would you do that if you know the battery already died. He said this is pep boys, this is a corporation we don t do nothing for free. I m like what s for free I m paying for the oil change and the diagnostic fee now ,then I will come back for the other services. He said I didn t pay for them to jump my battery. I said wow that s so petty but ok turn it off I will call AAA. So I go back to the place and Malik screaming again saying this is a corporation we don t do nothing for free. I said ok let me pay for the oil change and the diagnostic fees. He says I can take my car and go the oil change was never done the they were not finished doing the diagnostic.I said so why did the girl call me and tell me what was wrong with it and said that the oil change was done. He said she wasn t suppose to call me and it was a miscommunication and since I was dealing with him I shouldn t of listen to what she was saying. He was arrogant and was not trying to understand me. All of that over a free jump. I will never go to another a pep boys

I made an appointment for NYS state inspection online for this location. I had taken time off from work , On the day of appointment I went to location. I told the mechanic I am here for inspection the mechanic told me the machine for inspection is not working I asked him I made online appointment why it wasn t updated he again said that there s no tickets. So I left and then I called the store to inform them that they need to update the system if they didn t have ticket. The guy who answered he was very rude and started arguing me that he saw mechanic told me there s no tickets then why I called again , while I just was trying to explain that they need to update online Bcz it cost me job time to go there. but he didnt even listen to me and hung up on me. It was my first ever chance to go this location not sure what kind of service they provide but definitely know what kind of customer service they provide and I will not be going back there again or recommending anyone else.

Sorry for the bad review. But your mechanic should have done his job properly from the start. Then he claimed he didn't hear that noise when he test drove it yesterday. But I was there. He didn't test drive it yesterday. He only did a visual!!!Poor work ethic. Poor attitude towards doing a proper job from the start. Now he's trying to make a mends. But it's over 24 hours later. And over $2,000 later! Your mechanic is an AHOLE!

Don't go on a Sunday!!!... I came to get an inspection and the guy had an attitude as if he doesn't like working and got rude like he wanted trouble (not bright). I was denied an inspection because supposedly they can't inspect a vehicle that's not registered in NY( )... I've been getting my car inspected at Pep Boys for many years without hearing anything about this..I guess THIS particular location is problematic... Be warned, DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION ON SUNDAYS.

Have been going to this pep boys for over 8 years, always had good experience. The current short stocky manager with a beard name Sadiq was extremely rude. I spent almost $1,000 for tires with installation package and alignment. Soon as I got the keys the tires had low pressure when I told the manager he reacted like a child with tantrum.After when I left on the highway steering wheel started shaking and took to a nearby shop asap it was due to misalignment and unbalanced tires. Called the store they blamed me for the problem. It s printed on the receipt that the package included wheel balance and alignment. So my money was not spent correctly.I just notice all the other comments about the same rude manager and terrible service.I will not be going back indefinitely. Should ve checked reviews beforehand

this pep boys overcharges you on parts and labor. I caught them charging me more for tires than what their website was charging and they adjusted the price. Then they mess up a simple thing like an alignment and when you spend more time going back for them to fix it they don't offer you any credit for a future service for your time spent taking the car back. The staff seem like they've given up on life which is sad because they look pretty young. And also the office needs some lights. its dark, depressing and has a lot of flies. You would be better off going to a random garage for service.

Horrible experience. From the moment I walked in the young lady at the front whose name starts with an A was so rude and unprofessional. Not only to me but to every customer. I will never go back there. I couldn t ask a question without her sucking her teeth. Not to mention after 45 min my car still was not serviced. I also wanted my tire fixed & I was told I could not get it done because I would have to buy a new one. Big waste of time going there. It s okay though because I got all 4 done at a cheaper rate. The biggest issue was Ms. A at the front. She needs to look into a new profession

WOW! So many bad reviews. However, this wasn't my experience. Sadiq and his team were always respectable and accommodating. I went for an oil change and a few other jobs. Yes, the wait time was longer than expected, but I would rather wait than have to come back.

So my car was towed to this location on 8/06/23 via my warranty claim with CarShield. I called this location and requested an update with the car TWO days later and was rudely informed by one of their employees that this is not a quick process and we ll call you when we have an update, don't call us I waited an entire week before calling back the location and was told that my car has been sitting outside where the tow truck original dropped it off. I asked why and they said they couldn t get it into the shop because it dose y turn on and go into neutral. No calls was made to me all week regarding this dilemma. I asked how much longer do they thing this is going to take and they said they don't know. I m without a car for a whole week and you don t have any kind of explanation? They said no they can t do anything until they get the car in the shop. So they can have my car just sitting there for however long and there would be no justification other than they can t get it into the shop? This is by far the sorriest and most unprofessional Pepboys location I have ever encountered and I would stay away from this location if I was you. Poor communication, zero effort, discrimination, job abandonment, unprofessionalism, and incompetent employees. I truly hope and pray this location get shut down due to the disappointment and dissatisfactory treatment experienced by their customers.

The manager is a hoodlum that treats the customers like there in the hood. Get professional. This guy definitely hates his life and his job. This dude def needs to be fired asap. This was a good spot at one point. Just don t do it. Go somewhere else.Even one of the employees there said he hates it. Lol just crazy .

I enjoy bringing my car here for everything. The personal is very friendly and professional. They don't try to let you spend more money just for the necessary, not like other shops you go and they find thousand of parts to fix. Thank you Pepboys!!

The manager working there is the worst manager I have ever seen ! I go there all the time, no matter what problem my car has. but this man never smiles and is always angry, whenever I say something he answers with anger. He doesn't even want to say his name. I'm calling you from here, if you don't like your job, go find another job. How does this company employ people like you? I'm calling out to the authorities from here and this man treats everyone like this, not just me

I have been going to this location for a long time and am always satisfied. I saw a new guy on my last visit and his attitude was horrible. As a customer, I have simple rights to ask questions about my car and it seems like they don't like to hear any questions from any customer. Anyway, I did not receive my car in their given time. they said their mechanic is called out. I understand that employees can call out from their work and it causes the delay, but they did not inform in the next morning. Lastly, management shouldn't let employees be in front of the house talk with customers with a high attitude. Worst customer service.
