These guys are pros. No guess work. They diagnose everything step by step. I'm a mechanic and I could not find the issue with my ac. They took their time and carefully found my leak and now i got cold air. Thanx to Brian. Intook very good care of me. As a bonus these guys are super nice. And the price was very reasonable. Take your car to these guys if u ever have an ac issue. Other shops will do alot of guess work and make u replace multiple parts. Not these guys. These guys are honest and very fair and reliable.

Came in to get the filler neck brazed on my 73 firebird as it was leaking. They did an excellent job no leaks they cleaned up the radiator inside as well. The guy here is very down to earth and friendly they also do AC work.

Wasted a whole lot of money going to different mechanics for my radiator issues.I knew from the 80's this guy is the best in this business when it comes to Ac and Heat Issues.Ty for fixing my car.Ms. Mitchell

It's hard to find a shop where they are honest with you in what you 'really' need done to your vehicle. But this shop seems honest and professional. I went to K&W on a referral from my neighbor- his car was serviced sometime ago.Please believe me these guys are amazing they understand customer service, quality of work and fair pricing, One vendor charged $3000. K and W Auto Repair is a very professional and knowledgeable auto repair company. I had an issue with my engine over heating and couldn t drive 2 blocks without having to turnoff the engine and having to restart it every 5 minutes in order to get from point A to point B. When I arrived at K&W Auto repair this morning, I was pleasantly surprised to see the business was open. Very few auto repair shops open at 7am. Not only was the shop open, when I explained to the business owner what was going on with my vehicle, he immediately diagnosed what the issue was, ordered the part I needed for my vehicle and had my car repaired right away. The business owner of K&W is an expert at what he does. If you re seeking an A-1 mechanic that really cares about their work, and customers, you need to look no further than K and W Auto Radiator & Air Conditioning. You won t be disappointed. Also, the pricing is reasonable. I will definitely be recommending K and W auto repair to my family and friends. Kirk is a master at his craft as well as a gentlemen. The other folks working there are also pleasantly polite and highly professional. I brought my SUV in after I encountered an issue with my A/C that other places could not accurately diagnose and fix. Kirk managed to cut through all the nonsense and competently got the system up and running again at 100% -- all at a very reasonable price. It's rare these days to find someone who is both knowledgeable and expert yet honest and not looking to rip you off. This place is a gem.

Kirk is a great mechanic! He is fair. I stopped by because another repair shop told me my whole AC compressor needed replacement after inspecting a squeal when turning on the AC. They estimated a job totaling about $700. My father, in another state, urged me to get a second opinion, believing I didn t need a whole compressor. I stopped into Kirk s shop after reading reviews. Kirk inspected my car and reassured me I only needed a belt replacement. He then directed me to a shop nearby who could help (since Kirk didn t have a lift). Saved me HUNDREDS of dollars, being honest and fair! You will always have my business, when needed! Thank you!

First time I found a auto shop where they treat their customers like a good customer very friendly staff and Mr kirk is excellent. As soon as I took the car he knew what's wrong with it and gave me a reasonable price and got my car fixed in no time. Will definitely tells others to go give them a try and I would definitely let all my family's to go here..

On a hot early morning, not knowing my way in New York, and having the a/c of my SUV not working, I was in a predicament as to where to take my vehicle to have it fixed for my long trip back home to San Antonio, TX...I called a couple of repair shops according on the "customer satistaction" grade, and was able to contact this gentleman who told me he could help me at noon. After driving 45 minutes, I arrived.Looking at his shop, I remembered myself a saying, NEVER judge the book by its cover...After meeting owner, Kurt, not only he had over 60 years of experience, but it was the way he treated me what really made the frustrated morning a great experience. Not only he fixed my a/c and running strong, but I was lucky to have met a great person.Kurt, thank you so much !

Brought my 1989 Mitsubishi Montero to have my brass radiator repaired. He was up front about everything, did a perfect job, and was very fairly priced. Also took the time to let me know a couple other things on the vehicle. I went there because of the good reviews. I hope I can pass that along to anyone looking for honest and skilled service. Old school shops are hard to come by these days and I appreciate finding these guys.

Kirk too care of my ac and was 100% - completely the best . The repair was quite complicated as there were several components involved which were hard to find as the vehicle is from the 1970 s. The price was fair and stayed the same as negotiated originally , even when the job ended up taking longer than expected - due to the above mentioned age of the car.Thank you Kirk for getting my Buick back on ice!

Amazing experience! I've had my car air conditioner looked at 3 times prior and none of the times the people could get me the parts needed for my old car (parts are hard to find since it's a Saturn). I'm also a girl so they try to take advantage and increase the price of repair. This shop not only ordered and got me the parts in less than 24 hours but also fixed my car in the quickest of time. The owner is the nicest guy and all of his workers are as well. He explained everything he did to fix it and showed me why it was broken in first place. I'm beyond impressed with the service. They also charged me such an incredibly fair price. I've never had such a pleasant experience like this before. Now my car air conditioner is running for the first time in 2 years. Definitely go to this place if you need your air conditioner fixed.

Just want to thank Kirk for his expertise in helping my mother with her heating / ac issue . I called Kirk from Miami described what was going on he told me to get the vehicle there and he'll take care of it . My mother's Q56 thermostat was stuck on 60 degrees so she came in 20 minutes later to shop and Kirk and his experience had her out of there in less than 10 minutes and no charge on top of that. Just want to say Thanks Kirk for his customer service and Experience. Calvin from Miami.

I almost didn't see the shop when I drove there the first time, very low key and unassuming. Much of their work is done not in the shop but outside in the adjacent parking area. After going to 2 different general auto mechanics and wasting a few hundred dollars to top off the refrigerant, Kurt made the right diagnosis and changed my compressor. He also found out that my cabin air filter was missing and installed one. Don't expect to leave your car there, as they don't have room. Plan on spending at least an hour there so that they can diagnose the problem(I had to keep my car running with the AC on for about 30 minutes) and then they may ask you to return later to get the work done depending on their current work load. I think they were fair in their charges when I consider what the other general auto mechanics charge in NYC. The shop is about a 10 minute walk to the Jamaica LIRR/subway station. Kurt is a gentleman. I would say that if you have a car AC problem, this is the place to go.

Just took my MDX to get my ac serviced, these guys are the best. You have to get there early because they get busy but it's worth the wait. Price is very reasonable. And the job gets done right. Will continue doing business with them.

Went to get my a/c fixed about a year ago. The problem had been looked at - at great cost - by two dealers, to no avail. Kyle figured it out. A year later, no problems.More important, the whole experience was an absolute pleasure. Don t be put off by the mess; these guys know what they re doing. Kyle treated me fairly and honestly, and watching him work was downright impressive. The way he diagnosed my car s problem was ingenious. It should tell you something that I m posting this a year later: the fix has lasted, along with my memory of the great service I got.

Had a great experience with the service at K and W. My estimate from another shop (Nardy Honda in Smithtown) to repair my air conditioning unit was over $1500, which seemed way too high. K and W made the repair for less than a third of the other estimate and the AC has been working perfectly since. Also, Kirk, the mechanic I interacted with, is a nice dude.

I took my Lincoln Navigator to K&W for an issue I was having with the AC unit. It was pushing out hot air despite having charged it with the prescribed R134A. Kirk the service tech listened to my description of the issue at hand before giving me his professional take on the matter. He explained how he was going to diagnose what the problem was and the cost involved to do so which I thought was fair considering the service department at Ford/Lincoln would have charged $128.00 which is not included in the total amount if you decide to do the work vs a $75.00 which would be deducted if you decide to go ahead with the repairs. My case was significant because I had a major breach in one of the tubes connected to the compressor. To make the short of the story shorter the repairs were done meticulously and completed with great satisfaction without complications. I highly recommend this establishment for AC/Radiator servicing and for the integrity exercised during the whole process.

I don't know where to start. How happy I was with service or how damn good these guys are at what they do. From the moment you pull up it's obvious these guys eat, sleep and breath what they do. It's a family owned business and they run it with pride. If you're having any sort of A/C or heating issue I could recommend these guy any more highly. Kirk made sure that I was satisfied and was extremely friendly and professional. It's rare you come across a business like this these days. I'm thoroughly impressed. I would leave 10 stars if I could.

There are very few old-school shops like this around anymore. Kirk repaired a copper AC condenser on a vintage car I'm restoring and saved me the cost of buying a brand new part. His cost was fair and turn around was quick. I highly recommend them.

Can't say enough about the attitude, energy and care that Kirk himself puts out let alone the knowledge and expertise that he brings to a repair. Have an 85' Mercedes Wagon and ended up with a blown AC, he had the know how and the patience not only to fix it but to teach me a few things along the way. You won't be disappointed in his work and getting to know him and his team. Thank you!

Kyle did a great job on my motorcycle radiator, at a very reasonable price. So far it's holding up very well and I gotta tell you, the whole crew were a pleasure to chat with while waiting to pick up the radiator. Good people through and through, from beginning to end. Cheers.

My air conditioner suddenly stopped working while in the Hamptons. After a very uncomfortable ride home...my own mechanic said he was so backed up he couldn't even look at my car for 3 says. I came across this place on Google...saw the rave reviews...and decided to try it out. Kirk took 1 glance and saw the problem. My high pressure hose leaked. He originally quoted me a higher price...which was already MUCH LOWER THAN I HAD EXPECTED...but after removing hose saw he could weld it ...and saved me even more money. ..Funny coincidence...it turns out that my mechanic goes to him for the new more expensive freon If you have any air conditioning problems...Kirk is the man to see...fast...reasonable and Honest.
