I went here because my car overheated and needed a mechanic fast and close by. I am very glad this is where I ended up. From the moment I called till my service was done, Fred was very polite and informative. He went out of his way to explain to me in detail what was wrong with my car. I highly recommend! Honest and definitely fair pricing.

Just took my car to Dorgler Auto Repair today and I can't recommend them enough. I had taken my car to a mechanic closer to me and had a bad experience. Fred listened to what was the issue I was having on my car, and instantly knew what was wrong with it. 6 hours later my car was running like NEW and with a more than fair price! After 25 years of driving .. I have finally found my mechanics!

Freddy and his son are some the most honest and genuinely caring guys i know, never mind honest mechanics that goes without saying, i will only send my car there and nowhere else when im having car trouble.there was at least 2 times there was something minor wrong with my cars that i couldn t get started or something and it was a simple fix where it didnt require labor or parts so freddy didnt charge me because he really didn t have to do anything to the car. Any other mechanic would of made up some random crap and charged me for it. I always recommend his shop to everyone possible

Just called in to ask about the price of the brakes and rotors and warranty on it and whoever picked up the call said that s a dumb question . Like customers can t even ask what are they paying for? I would say THAT s A DUMB SERVICE you guys are providing. I even said the time I ll be coming there before asking about the warranty but after listening to the guy s answer I know how rude he is and what kind of service I will get there. Think twice before going there!

Dorgler Auto Repair is the most honest and reliable mechanic in all of queens if not all of NYC. I have lived in many place in NYC and have seen many mechanics and this auto repair is the best by far at fair prices on top of that. I went to Fred and Fred Jr one time because I was recommended by a tow truck guy back in 2019 for a bad battery. Dorgler was highly recommended. They did a great job. They had the interstate battery I wanted and I was out of there in 1 hour. Fred Jr. was pleasant and I just had a great vibe and honesty from them, unlike other mechanics I have been to in my life, I decided to go back for a check engine light about 5-6 months later and I met Fred senior and same service, pleasant and honest. Dorgler should get a mechanic award lol. They are knowledge, honest and fair. They know what they are talking about and they will not sell you what is not needed. Thank you guys. I live in Woodside queens now and I will make the trip to Jamaica Queens. I was just there this week for an oil change and brake lights issue. They are truly the best. Thanks guys!!Frank :)

My first experience was very pleasant. I needed a wheel alignment and there was a knocking noise in the front end that indicated something was worn out. The idler arm (old Chevy) was worn, but Mr. Dorgler didn't think it was bad enough to warrant replacement. That was very honest of him to not upsell unnecessary work. There were plenty of other cars waiting for work, so he doesn't have to create problems. I asked him to change it anyway, and he showed me the old part. These guys are among the most honest mechanics. I ve been though my fair share of 5 star rated mechanics in queens and they are affordable, professional, and they actually charge for the work they do. They aren t trying to squeeze you for your money.Additionally, their diagnoses and repaired what I was expecting. This is the best mechanic shop in New York City. Fred and his Son both are very knowledgeable and honest people. They will never overcharge anybody. I wish I can give them more then 5 stars because they deserve it.

Best mechanic around he's honest and fast. Get there early cause he is always busy. He's been taking care of my family for almost 20 years and I've never had a problem.

At first we went there for car inspection. It was very quick. Mr. Fred was really helpful. Second time we went there to check some stuff. He explained the issue very clearly. He is such a gentleman.

Fred and his employees are people of the highest caliber. From service to knowledge, and pricing too! I'm somewhat knowledgeable and have the ability to service my own vehicles but I'm glad I discovered them. Great people, highly recommend.

Honest, reliable and fair. A different mechanic shop told me the bearings on my car were the issue and quoted me a high price. I ordered the parts and shopped around and Dorglers offered the fair price for the labor. I asked them to double check the bearings were the problem before starting the job. Turns out it was actually the transfer case. Have to take it to a transmission shop for that. Going to be much more expensive to fix but thanks Dorglers for saving me money on something that wouldn't fix the problem.

Reading all of the good reviews. I must ve been unlucky. I brought my car and explained what was wrong to a mechanic (the son of the owner), left the car at the shop at 8am and was told that it would be done by around 11am. At 12pm, I called to check up, then I was told to check back after lunch. They (the owner- father) called me back around 4pm to tell me to come pick up my car. And what they fixed was not what I suspected was wrong with the car, and I was surprised that they went ahead and made the fixes without calling me for to confirm what they found and if they should fix it. They just fixed and called me to tell me to pick up my car. So on the phone I asked him if he was also able to check the issues I had suspected, but the dad did not know what I was talking about, telling me that the mechanic (who I believe is his son) did not relay any of the information I had told him.Needless to say, I come to pay (I was not given a receipt) and pick up my car. Car still has the same exact issues and getting worst, as if it was never taken to a shop.Disappointed and will not recommend.

Frank Junior was incredible and so generous with his time. He was able to diagnose my car and didn t even charge but rather told me that my issue was covered under the warranty. If you re looking for a reliable and trustworthy mechanic I recommend Dorgler.

Went there for the 1st time. My car hasn't seen any mechanic other than the dealer since bought new. They diagnosed a problem the dealer faulted on fixed it quickly and at a very fair price. Fred was a gentleman and communicated what was wrong and corrected it. I found a new mechanic now. His son was a gentleman as well.

Fred Dorgler was recommended to me from Jimmy Auto Bay., Since he is retiring. Fred is a awesome person & great Mechanic. He took the time to speak with me.
