I recently needed body work done on my car after being hit by a deer. Wink s was great from start to finish. We worked with Geena who provided excellent customer service and communication. She was helpful and patient while we decided the amount of repair work that we wanted to have done. The repair was done well and efficiently too! Definitely recommend Wink s.

I was in an accident on Valentine's Day this year. I had it towed right to Winks and Geena was amazing. They did an amazing job fixing my car and were absolutely amazing when the other girls insurance wouldn't cover so we had to switch everything to mine. I was updated along the way of when they were starting my car and approximately when it would be finished. A very stressful time was made easier thanks to Geena and the team at Winks.

Twice(!) in the past year and a half, I have had unfortunate minor, but expensive, mishaps in my vehicle. In both cases, Wink s did an extraordinary job of returning my car to showroom-quality. Highly recommend them if you find yourself in need of body work. Extremely helpful and nice folks to work with.

Very disappointed with my experience. While the staff was very nice and response times were quick, Wink's tried to charge me $9000 for what came out to a $5500 repair elsewhere (and yes, the elsewhere is a local business where it is located). This obscene price from Wink's included $1500 for the bumper alone, which only had a scratch that needed to be buffed out. Having gone elsewhere, my car is now as good as new without paying nearly as much.Edit in Response to Owner's Reply: Thank you for your reply! I actually did bring in the car in person:) In fact, I only got a separate estimate for the bumper when I came in person. I have used the other body shop many times. I am not putting you down. You are putting yourself down by charging me twice what the other place did and by making personal attacks against customers in your google reviews. Now changing from two stars to one.

We were very pleased with the service we received and the staff was very attentive to our needs. Geena kept in great contact with us to update us throughout the process so we always knew what was being done with our vehicle from both their end and the insurance company s end. For being in a stressful situation of having our car in an accident, they made the process of getting it fixed very easy!

So I've got to be honest. Winks provided some of the best customer service I have ever had. Friendly, amazing auto body work. Great customer service and the techs do great work. I hit a deer and did some front end damage. They fixed it and it looks great. They cleaned the interior and washed the car as well. I had a small issue after I picked up my car and noticed the back tail light not working properly. I called them up and they took care of it no problem. It turned out to be a blown fuse from the accident. This is by far the best shop in all of ithaca. I can't stress enough how amazing they are. Auto body or mechanical issues. They handle alot of the insurance claim things as well. They text call let you know what's going on. Which is great so you don't worry about the unexpected. Thank you winks. 100 STAR RATING

Super super kind people to work with. Free estimates. They only accept payment in the form of checks, which was a little inconvenient for me, but definitely recommend! They were also backed up in scheduling a few weeks, so it took two months to get my car in.

The previous work I had done there was very good. I'm struggling now, and sure I will finish burning this bridge here. Had some difficulty the first time, and it seems very difficult now to get them to work on my 3rd gen Toyota 4Runner. It's become difficult to even get past an initial phone call about what I'm trying to pay them to do. This is common among "common" body shops these days that if you don't have a late model vehicle, they don't wanna know you....My 4runner is in great shape, and I pay to keep it that way...I was sad to realize that it's so difficult these days to find a full service body shop willing to communicate beyond a computer, or an app, and except a full array of work as the label "body shop"insinuates.Service: Body & Trim

Once upon a time, Winks would have gotten a ten out of five star review from me. However, they did a paint job on my vehicle about ten years ago, and it started looking a bit "flat" in some areas. I brought it in for a look-see. They told me the entire car had to be repainted to the tune of $12k, and if Ididnt, it would only get worse. They said my paint was only supposed to last about 5 years. So I took it to Autoworks in Dryden. Mike hit it with some buffing compound and a talented polisher, and JUST LIKE THAT it looked sparkling and new! Im wondering if Todd (Sr) is at all aware that his years of hard work building such a stellar reputation has now been flushed by the smell of greed and...if we are to buy into the biases being reported lately, sexism. I am a female so its easy to toss me under the bus? Either way, I would now give them zero stars if I could. Shame on you, dude.

It's unfortunate I have to update my review for Winks as often as I do but thank goodness their amazing work is consistent! Erica and Geena were rock stars, managed to get misdirected insurance funds corrected and kept the process moving. The back of the house delivered a clean and shiny vehicle with no memory of being rear ended. Winks is worth the wait in every way.Excellent customer service (Admin Geena is exceptional) which is so rare these days. They give regular updates on completion date and they were seamless with insurance paperwork. Top notch in Ithaca.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Winks did a decent job. Our car was sideswiped so the whole right side needed work. They were on-time (within a couple of days, the metal work (rear fender and doors) was top notch, paint so far is excellent.The only surprising item are the bolt-on items. The fender and headlight do not match up. They have done better work for me in the past so I assume this is due to this particular crafts person. I have to give them a four. Everything else they were great to deal with.

Had to get my bumper replace after an accident. Winks had it fixed up and looking great. They even cleaned the interior! Very friendly and worked with my schedule to make sure I got my car back when I needed it. They are backed up a couple months when I need repairs, but completely understandable as they do a great job. My car was drive able so that was not an issue. I d definitely use them again!

Wink's Body Shop does incredible work and is honest and fast. I am not great with cars, but Joe took his time to ask all the right questions and really figure out what was wrong with my car and he took the time to explain it to me like I was 5, which was very much needed and appreciated. Highly recommend Wink's for all your auto shop needs.Service: Exhaust

Overall, my experience at Wink's has been polarizing. The admin workers respond very promptly and kindly. However, important things were missed in establishing the estimate for damages accrued for my car. A dent in the rear door just a foot from the primary accident was assumed to be not part of the accident and was not fixed. Once the car was picked up, the dent was noticed along with a loud thud in the front left wheel-well (where the accident happened) while driving.Like I said, customer service is fantastic. However, I do question whether vehicles are test driven (thud would have been noticeable if it were driven prior) and the ability to come up with an accurate estimate.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Body & Trim

Went to winx to have my bumper, fog light, and bezel replaced. We needed the work done pretty quickly as we were moving and the team were fantastic. They were always communicating with us, helped us with the car rental and insurance, and managed to get the back order parts early and get the word done on time for us. Overall a positive experience at winks body shop. Came in with a broken trunk lift, they were able to order parts and fix it within the next day. Only issues that I experienced is a couple of quality control issues maybe for newer techs working there. One of the plastics bits was stuck and rattled around everytime I opened the trunk. Opening the trunk from the key was not functioning like before. I brought these issues to the service manager and he was able to fix these issues the next day. I also opted in for an oil change while they were taking care of this and I saw that they recommended an oil change sticker in 5000 miles even though I confirmed that this is full synthetic oil and that oil needs to be changed every 10,000 miles. I think they are working on the quality control and will come back for future body repairs.

All the people at Winks are so nice and very informative. This is the second time I had my bronco there and they took great care of it both times. We have been going to winks for sometime now for our two vehicles. Most recent visit was for auto body repair on our Toyota Rav4. Our new car was hit in the back, we were devastated. Winks took care of everything, scheduled a repair date, which was spot on, kept us informed daily of work progress and got our car back to us exactly when promised. They have also been doing our routine maintenance on our vehicles. The front office staff are friendly and professional, the waiting area is clean and comfortable.

They repaired damage to my one year old VW. The bumper never fit properly and has caused paint to come off where the bumper rubs against the hatch back rear door. Also rust has developed where they repair damage to the rear quarter panel and they refuse to fix it!!! DO NOT EVER USE THEM!Service: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

My Cornell daughter hit a deer with her car. She did drive the car to the shop, but the staff considered her safely and advised that she leave the car. The staff at Winks was incredibly helpful with coordinating with our insurance and getting her car back as soon as possible. We understood that there can be issues with part availability and the staff always communicated if there was chance of delay. In the end, the car was returned exactly when promised and looks beautiful. I m very grateful that we were referred to Winks.Service: Body & Trim

Outstanding service and supremely high quality of work. I was skeptical because of other experiences I've had in Ithaca with repairs. When other repair shops say one thing and do something completely the opposite. This was not the case with Winks they were super they did everything they said they would, I cannot recommend them highly enough.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Not to be trusted. **SEE RESPONSE TO THEIR REPLY BELOW ** 1) Fraudulent? They billed me for all the parts/labor on the insurance estimate - but revealed later that they had not actually replaced one of the parts at all. Offered discount that consisted of work not performed when questioned. 2) Poor communications! They ripped out a brand new exhaust system, despite admitting it looked new, without calling me to check. Made me pay for unnecessary work. 3) Poor customer service: shop manager and service manager lied and tried to intimidate me about (2) above, 4) Business owner has unreachable and unresponsive by phone, in person and mail, despite extensive efforts.Here is why this shop is not to be trusted. My mechanic says he will never send any customers to Wink s again. The response below sounds exactly like the service manager.1) They asked me to write a check for the full price of estimate, even though they only did half the exhaust work. If I hadn t questioned the exhaust part of the job, they would have pocketed the difference. I certainly never would have known whether or not the mid-pipe was new. How often does this happen?2) In my initial phone conversation with shop manager, he said the technician thought the muffler looked okay, but figured it was unseen damage . Later, the service manager and shop manager tried to convince me that the muffler was clearly shot and had to be replaced anyway , which contradicts earlier statement. They tried to intimidate me into backing off in the following ways: 1) they said the muffler was filled with water and really heavy, as if that proved there was a problem with it. It turns out that cars only doing short trips around town commonly accumulate water and it s totally normal. 2) pointed to some dents and scratches and said I must have had another accident or driven over something high hitting the muffler and making it rebound off the undercarriage. (This is a high carriage SUV driven only locally on Ithaca roads). When my mechanic examined these, he noted that the damage was fresh, with shiny metal showing where paint had been scratched away, indicating zero street driving time with those damages , and that they likely happened after the muffler was removed. 3) the left side hanger on the muffler is normally shaped like an upside-down L, to slide into the undercarriage bracket. When they showed me my muffler, that bracket was bent (see photo 2). My original accident was that a motorcyclist rear-ended me, sliding under the car and damaging the exhaust system. Yet that high speed impact did not affect the shape of the left side hanger (see photo 1). My mechanic said he d seen the most likely cause of the bent hanger hundreds of times when a muffler is taken off a car on a lift, and it falls to the shop floor, landing on the hanger. There is literally no way for this bend to have happened during driving. It was clear to me, in hindsight, that these managers did their best to snowball me into believing that damages, incurred after removing the muffler, were their proof that the muffler was damaged, to excuse why they didn t call to check on whether that part of the job had actually been completed already. But at the time, I was so upset and intimidated I couldn t face the idea of leaving my car with them for another day so they could put the original muffler back in.3) The response below lies about discounting more than they needed to . They went over the estimate and only removed the itemized mid-pipe, mid-pipe gasket and the associated labor.Services: Exhaust, Body & Trim
