The staff at Maguire were respectful and considerate, and they were not pushy about the sale of the vehicle we purchased. Ryan, the salesperson we worked with, did a great job! I know a lot of people don't like Maguire, but the two times I've bought vehicles from Maguire in Ithaca, I've had a great experience. Besides, time is money, and I don't always have an entire day to trek to surrounding cities in upstate NY. By the time it's all said and done, the prices ae all about the same.

Kasondra was wonderful to work with. She was very attentive and did everything possible to answer my questions and ensure that I was satisfied with my purchase. I am from out of town, and I was very impressed with the entire dealership and remote process of negotiating the sale as well as a fair deal on my trade-in. I wish this dealership was in my hometown of Rochester NY.

I'm not blaming anyone, my experience was good, overall, but I was there for over two hours and my car had been done for at least 20 minutes before I was able to pay my bill and leave with it.

I am not going to focus on the repair or the time it took, but most importantly I want to acknowledge the attention and care that I received from Ben, the service consultant, while servicing my Atlas. It was such a pleasure working with him.. His professional approach, politeness, keeping me informed on the status of the repair, and the fact that he genially cared for the services be performed right and be performed on time...I truly appreciate the service I received from Ben, and the long lasting impression that you can only hope to receive in those situations. I always have the oil change done at Maguire. The team there does a great job in identifying areas of concern that need to be addressed. With that said, I simply can not afford to pay the exorbitant prices that will be/would be charged to do all the service there. I especially resented hearing the tech guy very politely tell me that "Volkswagens are an expensive vehicle to maintain". I guess it's time to find a less expensive alternative. The car is great but it is obvious that I do not qualify for owning it due to being a retiree on a fixed income that limits my resources.

I HIGHLY recommend visiting and doing business with the Maguire Volkswagen/Audi team. I was looking for a used Volkswagen and Sam was more than happy to make sure every box was checked. Adam also made sure that everything was upfront, honest, and the best pricing that it could be. My experience was fantastic and I will surely be coming back in the future!

Bella was delightful to work with. We walked in on a super snowy day needing a new car, and she was so kind and helpful. She even stayed after the next day when we picked up our VW! We probably would have looked at other places as well if not for her:Phil was great and talked us through the buying process the next day; he made it very painless and was super helpful!

Found the exact vehicle I was looking for at the right price at the right moment. The cherry on top was the top notch customer service from start to finish. Phil was responsive from my very first inquiry, and it only got better from there. I was pleased with the work performed. However, a labor charge of $263 to simply replace the rear brake pads is truly highway robbery. Honestly, thirty minutes per side would be generous, even for a slow poke mechanic. This includes cleaning components, etc. To be changed over 1 hour ($169) is outrageous. I understand the car needs to be connected to the diagnostic system to retract the parking brake. And an external power source needs to be connected to the battery. That shouldn t take too long for an experienced tech. I know one pays a premium have service done at the dealer, but c mon. I had this service done as a test. Maguire Imports failed.

I have to get a huge shout out to Ben Wenberg in Maguire Volkswagen of Ithaca and all of the mechanics, electricians, engineers that worked on my car. My cars engine light came on and I made an appointment. I had to wait 3 weeks to get it in so I didn't drive it and had my car towed to Maguire because the engine light started blinking and I didn't want to risk doing damage to it. Long story short, the service team began working on my car and spent endless hours diagnosing and eventually fixing it. I need to state that my car was well maintained. I had always brought it in for scheduled maintenance and service. If I could give advice, I'd tell all car owners to buy your vehicles at Maguire, take your vehicles there for service, maintain your vehicle, because Maguire will stand behind the quality of the vehicles they sell and most of all the service that they provide.My car was 200 hundred miles over warranty but volkswagen covered most of it and what volkswagen didn't cover, Maguire did. I forgot to mention, I also had a loaner car, which I loved, for the entire time my car was being worked on. I certainly will continue to be a customer of Maguire, they take care of their customers. Picked up a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline and traded in my Crosstrek. Very polite and friendly assistance from Sam Capozzi! The entire process was pretty easy and time went quick. He was knowledgeable and helped me find answers to every question I had. I recommend this dealer, and highly recommend Sam.

Prior to this previous time, I had had mostly all positive interactions while getting my car serviced there- this time around, not so much. I went in to get my tires rotated/balanced as well as get a NYS Inspection. My vehicle did not pass (which is not fueling this review at all- I respect their analysis and decision) and upon picking up my car found that three out of the four tires should be replaced before winter hits (so within the next 2 months). I was never told any of this until I picked my car up and had the bill due. My real issue is the lack of ethics that was displayed by the service department. If three of my tires needed to be replaced, the rotation and balance should not have occurred, or at the very least, I should have been contacted to see what I wanted to do, which did not happen.As it is, I paid over $300 for a job that won't matter shortly as I will have all new tires and will need to get them balanced at that time. I know a mechanic shop around me that would have called to let me know my options and I did actually take my car there; however, it turns out that the special lock nut had been put onto my tires without me ever knowing or authorizing it.As a result, I did not have the key so the other autobody shop could not take the tires off and my choices were to either have the lock nuts taken off (which I opted for) or pay $75 for a key to those lock nuts. The final kicker is I got a text the next day from the person that handled my transaction with the common message of, "please let us know how our service was and if you have any concerns." I replied that I was extremely dissatisfied, and guess what? No response. Unless you're forced to go to them to maintain a warranty, maintenance plan, or if you also were "given" the lock nuts, I would avoid them.

I recently purchased a new VW and the buying experience was great! Phil H. was so helpful and attentive, he really made the entire experience hassle free. I would definitely recommend Phil if you are looking to buy a new car. He is very knowledgeable and does not "push" options on you, he takes his time and explains all the different choices. This is a huge factor in my choice to purchase my vehicles from McGuire and inparticular, have my vehicles serviced at Volkswagen, Volvo, Audi

I just had the best car purchasing experience of my life, thanks to Phil Humphries. I call him 2 days ago, inquiring about a 2023 red Toyota RAV4 on their website, and it was already sold. He found me an available 2022 red RAV4 with only 1200 miles that was owned for only 2 months by someone who was waiting for another car to come in stock. He pulled the vehicle for me yesterday, we did all the applications and trade in information by phone (because I live 1 1/2 hour away from Ithaca) and I drove my new car off the lot last night. He had all of the paperwork pre-typed up, spent time going over everything with me, showed me how to use all of the gadgets in the SUV, and I drove off a very happy customer. I have been bragging to all of my friends and family how great Maguire dealerships are, and will definitely buy all of my future vehicles from them! Thanks again, Phil. You made our holiday epic!

Had really wonderful service from Kossandra. She was attentive and really helpful. We ended up buying two vehicles from her within a few days! One was a lease buyout. The other was quite sudden when my son s car died! She was great.

I bought a brand new car here that is eligible for a $2000 NYS rebate, however they only deducted $500 from the purchase price. Upon investigating with NYS and calling out the mistake, Maguire VW has agreed to repay the $1500, however after several months they haven t made good on this promise. Attempted to contact the general manager but never received a response. Will revise this review if the situation changes. So far, the service department seems very good.Update: The issue has been resolved.

My daughter is an Ithaca College student, and we live 3 hours away. My daughter's previous car's engine died while she was at school and I came to Ithaca in search of a new car for her. I was expecting to have to be in town for a while in order to find a suitable car for her. Maguire Volkswagen was our first and last stop. Bella was the best! She is amazing and made what could have been a very stressful situation go perfectly smooth. We felt that she went above and beyond for us and tried to help as much as possible.

I recently purchased a 2022 VW Tiguan from Maguire Volkswagen of Ithaca. Although it was a challenging time for the new car market, everyone I dealt with at Maguire was great, including the internet sales manager, Mike Kaufman, my sales representative, Kosandra Miller, and Brad Beuhl, who helped with the financial details. Kosandra was very helpful both in negotiating the sale and helping me with many details ( on multiple occasions !) after my purchase. She was knowledgeable, responsive and very helpful. We love our VW and would highly recommend the Maguire Volkswagen team!

The service manager who helped me (RJ) was very communicative in getting me an appointment quickly. When I called, there were no available appointments on the day I wanted. RJ said he would call me if there were any no-shows or cancellations. There was and he called me and I was able to get my car in sooner than scheduled. This was a big help for me, a full-time working person who relies on her car every day. RJ was also quick to reserve a loaner vehicle for me so I could take care of several errands that I needed to get done that day.

It has become nearly impossible to speak to anyone in VW/Audi service to schedule appointments: 15 minutes of phone transfers to reach an answering service. I've used Maguire for inspections and oil.changes on a car I bought from them with no major issues. I wish the techs would remember to reset the inspection alert and check the cabin air filter so I don't have to bring the car back to complete the service. For. my older cars not purchased an Maquire, the techs always recommend major and unnecessary repairs costing more that the car's value. Maybe the sales side pays them a finder's fee.
