Michael is amazing! He managed the repair of our car and updated us the whole time. He s also a funny guy! Rates are fair and the staff seems to be very knowledgeable when they handle the other customers. Earned a repeat customer and will recommend! Hangry pizza shop across the street is also a convenience :)

Oh man, had a bit of a day today. Got a flat tire on the way to work and had my kiddo in the back, so you can imagine the stress. Rang up Mavis Discount Tire, told them about my situation, and even though they were packed, they agreed to squeeze me in. Turned out I had not one, but two punctured tires talk about bad luck, right? But these guys were super quick fixing them up. Plus, they had this box full of toy trucks that kept my son entertained the whole time, which was a lifesaver. They sorted out the tires and only charged me a small fee. Definitely going back there for any tire stuff in the future. Solid five stars from me!

Completely destroyed my $250 windshield tint I got installed. They denied they did this and were implying I did it myself. Who in their right mind damages their own car? I requested they check the camera cause its been less than 24 hours. They left oil stains on my car as well.Another gentleman was there who even told me that they messed up his tire order and I should be cautious.

Excellent customer service from the moment I walked in the door from Michael J. Michael J. was very knowledgeable & assisted me with selecting the best service for my vehicle. The only place I will bring my car to for service, inspections and tires is Mavis Discount Tire at 500 Hillside Ave in New Hyde Park. Paul and Michael are outstanding at customer service. They do their best to get to your services as quickly as possible. I trust them to always tell me the truth and advise me only on services I truly need at the time. Yet they suggest repairs I will most likely need after additional mileage. And I know they will take care of me if I stop in for small repairs and treat me as a valued customer. I highly recommend them!!

Paul is very nice and helped me tremendously. I had made an appt for an inspection at another location for them to tell me when I got there that the guy called out. They did not call me in advance about this. When I got to the Hillside Ave location, Paul listened and said he could help me so I didn t have to wait an hour and a half. Thank you!

My car was towed in for two flats. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. I wound up having to have all of my tires replaced due to wear and tear. The options were explained clearly and I was happy with the service.

The min I arrives, staff Casseus came right to me and asked how can he assist for me today and he is super friendly. Casseus makes u feel like a friend so you will not be scare even if you have no knowledge on car. Excellent service and Mavis will be always be my first choice when I have issue with my car.

Had an inspection done. Only a few hours after while driving home in the pouring rain on the highway the windshield wipers completely malfunctioned and I nearly got into a car accident. Checking the windshield wipers is the most basic part of the inspection. Still charged me about 300 bucks to change out my rotors and brakes though. I've serviced 3 cars here and they always say there's a problem with the brakes or rotors on every car. They coerce you to write good reviews. Absolutely will NEVER come to Mavis again. Overcharged me just to nearly have me have an accident. My windshield wipers were working just fine before the inspection.

The employees at this Mavis location provide really good customer service. They take the time to explain the maintenance or repairs they need to be done. They re honest about time and $$$ estimates. And they even call when they say they will. Definitely recommend.

Mavis 500 is great! I have been going there for about 15 years. Michael J is the nicest Manager - he is always helpful, informative, responsive & does it with a smile! My car is also always ready when I need it.

They cheat you and will upsell as much as they can. Went in for a routine inspection and they charged me to change out my brakes and roters when I had only gotten them recently changed last year. On another car I serviced they asked me to change out tires when I had just changed them out the year before. I took them in good faith at that time but reading all the other reviews, I will never come to Mavis again. The guy at the front desk asked me to write a good review and even asked I do it right in front of him. All these positive reviews are fake. Just read the low star reviews for all the other Mavis locations too. Just cause they cheat you with a smile and nice customer service doesn't change the fact that they're cheating you in the end.

Terrible customer service. Both Mike's are nasty, condescending, and argumentative. Talks down to women. They lie about the wait for service. Go to another Mavis. Called corporate and spoke to Selena, who was a customer service representative. She offered me a voucher and told me she left messages for both the store manager and district manager. This is the 2nd time that Mavis has treated me poorly. It appeared that they were busy in the lift area. However, at first, I offered to come back another day once they retrieved the new tire from another store. That action, which I was told would be brief, took over an hour. I informed Mike that it isn't no problem returning on another day. But he insisted that it would not take long. I did speak to another store and explained what happened, and Anthony was very nice and promised to help me out. I will go to this other Mavis after I have spoken to the manager or district manager. UPDATE: Still awaiting response from corporate. Was informed by Tyler that my correspondence was not given to the regional manager and that the case was closed. Case was reopened. I am still awaiting initial responses. UPDATE - Spoke with Samantha and decided to go forth with patronizing at another Mavis store.

Michael J. Was amazing. He was super helpful from the moment I stepped into the location. He kept me updated along the entire duration of my wait. Michael and Paul were very helpful in helping my get my car inspected. They were very patient in explaining my options for new tires and thoroughly explained the warranty package as well. Everything was done in a timely manner, I would definitely recommend coming to this Mavis location!

Mavis receipts say warranty for "12 months or 12000 mile", but they wouldn't honor my request to honor the warranty, even though I met the requirements. I was a regular customer, but I was very dissatisfied with their work in 2022 and in 2023. I'll have to go to another place to fix some of the problems they caused to my car.

Horrible experience. They waste your time in order to charge more. I normally go to other tires shops to fix my punctured tire which takes them 20 minutes to do so but not in this shop . i was observing the technician from the window while he was wasting my time trying to charge more and even after working on my car for 45 minutes he still did not fix the punctured tire. I will not use this service again!!!

Extremely unorganized and incompetent service. My vehicle was confused with another customers. I was told I needed a whole list of fixes turns out it was not my car( my car was in my driveway when I received this call). When I took my car two days later to get the inspection done I was informed that I needed a new front tire and was told the tire was going to be ordered. My car stayed overnight. When I received the call to pick up my vehicle they informed me that the tire was never ordered and they had once again misplaced my Toyota Sienna with another Toyota vehicle ..
