I have been using Oakwood Car Care for many years and recently brought in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler in for service. I explained that my new driving 17 year old daughter would be using this car and it was important for the Jeep to be in perfect condition. Within a couple of days we had the Jeep back with all issues addressed and a happy daughter.I will continue to use Oakwood Car Care and highly recommend their services!

I own a business and we have lots of vehicles on the road. Vehicles that are held up or mis diagnosed are a nightmare. If you want it diagnosed properly the first time I WOULD ONLY GO HERE to fix any vehicle. You might wait a little longer then you want, you might pay a little more, but it's worth every penny to get it done correct the first time.

My name is Alessia B and I just received a 2024 jeep rubicon 4xe for my 17th birthday. My dad wanted to further secure the jeep with locking hood latches and locking lugs for the wheels. Joe and Mike took us right in on Saturday morning and did the job to perfection in just a couple of hours. Mike came out and showed me how to work the hood latches and locking lug key. I felt very comfortable and would 100% go back. I recommend anyone with a jeep to go here for any kind of custom work!

I called to find out if photo inspections were taken. The guy that answered the call should have been a little more nicer and should have provided better customer service. I was told they didn't do them but he also didn't try to give me any information to where they did. Unless, he didn't know but he should have asked another employee for further assitance.

Mike from Oakwood went out of his way to completely fix up my 01 civic that i got scammed on and helped me pass my inspection first try , with EXTREMELY reasonable price compared to other places i went to. Ive recommended 2 of my friends and he helped them out just as well as he helped me. Great place I recommend them to anybody , especially if you don t know much about cars. Not only do they not take advantage of your knowledge, they guide you and help you get exactly what u need.

The mechanic Derek there is very nice. He took my car into the shop. He changed my oil, recommended a Lucus oil treatment with the oil change and explained the benefits on how it can prevent cold start up damage. He also recommended a tire rotation. He showed me that my tires in the front were wearing more than the rears and that the tire rotation would correct that in due time. I also went there for an inspection. I recommend this shop to anyone who wants their cars maintained properly for a decent price!Services: Tire rotations, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance, Oil change

My 1st time using Oakwood Car Care and the experience was great! Mike did a great job aligning our Jeep Gladiator's wheels and axles after a lift. I have been bringing my cars to Oakwood Car Care for as long as they have been open. I have always been treated professionally and with care. Joe , the owner is always both personable and helpful. Mike, the manager is friendly, efficient, caring, knowledgeably, and ever so helpful. He oversees the work and you almost never have to come back after a repair.They always go the extra mile to help you out.I would recommend Oakwood to anyone who wants honest and quality service.

Huge shout out to Joe and Henry at Oakwood Car Care Center in Huntington Station. I was driving home tonight when all of a sudden my car alerted me that my rear driver side tire was down to 6% (it normally warns me way before then so something drastic must have happened). I was trying to get to the nearest gas station and I looked up and saw Oakwood Car Care Center while I was at a traffic light and people were still there. I pulled in but they were just closing. I was about 20 miles from home so Joe asked one of the guys if they would stay late to help and Henry volunteered. Henry pulled a 3 strip of metal out of my tire - a couple of miles further and the tire would have been completely ruined. They went above and beyond, especially when everyone else just wanted to get home and start their holiday weekend. Highly recommend!

The BEST. I have a foreign car. I needed my brake lights replaced and I was able to have that done the same day. Mike picked up the phone and was very accommodating. No "leave a message" on an unknown voicemail without return call. His crew were professional and helpful. I'll be back!!

I'm supremely impressed by the level of service, expertise, honesty, and friendliness I experienced while working with Mike at Oakwood. I was in the area from out of town, and needed a mechanic and Mike was very accommodating and went the extra mile for me even though he knew I wouldn't be a repeat customer since I was from out of town. Really appreciate him for that, and if I'm ever back in the area with my car, I will definitely seek out his services. Thanks!

Friendly service. Only reason I m giving 3 stars is because I called a week beforehand and made an appointment, and it still took them over 6 hours to do an oil change and inspection. I m not even sure if they actually take appointments. I went there today for a wheel alignment. Mike got me in and out within a few hours. I went to few other shops before stopping by them, but I was told that it was too late on a Saturday. This place took my car in for an inspection KNOWING their DMV inspection printer wasn t working. After they kept my car for a few hours, they called me back and told me their printer wasn t working and tried to just tell me my receipt was proof enough to show that I did the inspection. When I said that wouldn t be valid, they said it s not their problem. They re trash people just trying to scam their customers. Go somewhere else and save yourself the trouble.

Oakwood Car Care has been our go to repair shop for years. Mike and Joe have taken care of all our cars including our kids cars. They couldn't be more thorough in checking for safety and in completing all necessary repairs. We truly believe that they are fairly priced and would never take advantage of us in any way. They've even given advice, when asked, on buying new vehicles. They are a great example of the wonderful service you can get at a small business.

I have been going to Oakwood for over twenty years. They are by far the best auto repair shop anywhere. They are honest, do what they say they are going to do, and do it on time. Joe I consider more than a "repair shop owner". Service at Oakwood is always the best. Joe and Mike are fantastic. Repairs are done right and when promised. Even complicated repairs on BMW's. I have been using Oakwood for over fifteen years, and have had only positive experiences there. They are honest and care about their work. I highly recommend Oakwood Car Care.

I visited Oakwood Car Care on Tuesday morning because I was getting a service code on my Honda Pilot that was telling me I needed to replace my rear differential fluid. My car also wouldn t start normally. It required a jumpstart to get to Oakwood Car Center. I am a little over a year into my lease and the car just surpassed 10,000 miles. Joe encouraged me to take my car to Honda rather than have him do an oil change and replace the rear differential fluid because he said I shouldn t need to replace the rear differential fluid so soon. I took his advice and Honda replaced my battery, which was causing the service code in the first place. Thanks to Joe, I didn t pay for a service I didn t need. Some mechanics might have just done as I asked without warning me that the code could be wrong and that I shouldn t need that particular service so soon. But Joe didn t. To me, that s a sign of a person with good character. Thank you for your help, Joe.

We have used Oakwood car care for close to 20 years. Their service is always top-notch. They have the modern technology necessary to assess and identify any car issues. We have even purchased two extremely reliable vehicles from them. We appreciate their honesty and friendly service.

Amazing customer service! I called yesterday for an appointment for a oil change/maintenance routine check and was able to get one the next day! I was in & out in 30 minutes! I definitely recommend this shop if you re looking for reliable service & a place that honors your appointment time slot! This is the only place you should bring your car/truck. They ve always been so accommodating for me and never overcharge. Henry is a great mechanic and takes care of your car/truck. Mike is great to work with. I have nothing bad to say.

Very good experience and trustworthy. They were very honest on my vehicle being in excellent condition even though another service station stated I needed ball joints and tried to rip me off. I highly recommend them for quality and honest service.

I had got my suv inspected and diagnosed. Someone reported the mileage wrong (70,620) and it was 60,620. So when I went to the actual dealer they told me it was a clerical error obviously and to go back to the establishment. I did and mike did not want to call the dealer personally. I called the dealer on speaker and mike was rather nasty. He said he wasn t fixing it. On my car fax it clearly stated mileage reported from oakwood care center. Mike faced the dealer the invoice but the fact he didn t want to fix someone s error made at his place of business is unprofessional.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I can't recommend Oakwood Car Care enough. They are totally honest and ethical (not true of some car care and repair shops) and their prices are reasonable. Just as important, Oakwood is a family owned business making their reputation even more critical. It's obvious that Oakwood understands how important their reputation is and they go out of their way to satisfy customers. Oakwood Car Care not only cares for your car but totally cares for their customers. If your car needs repair or maintenance, I can't recommend Oakwood highly enough. You can't go wrong by taking your car there.

Mike means business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is a man of his word! What I like the most is: Mike is a man of Principles, a man of Character and a man of Integrity. He is truly an accountable man! I took my car there and it was diagnosed and taken care of right away. When I inquired how much I owed; the answer was nothing! I did not know that I have a 2 year warranty. Most places give you 12 months or 12000 miles.I want to say to Mike: Many thanks for your obsession to TOTAL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION! Your dedication, knowledge and positive attitude truly distinguish you as a CHAMPION OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

I took my car to the Oakwood Car Care shop on Park Avenue (now replaced with a Subway) and had the ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE. I had curbed my car pretty seriously and needed a new control arm, wheel bearings and a reshaping of my front right rim. Everything looked great after completion, except they were never able to realign my steering (even though they said it was aligned perfectly, however I could deal with it). Long story short, three months down the line and $2000 dollars poorer, I ended up having to get all the parts replaced AGAIN by a proper mechanic. Turns out they never actually reshaped my rim, just polished it to make it look pretty. Never go here.

I recently visited oakwood care care on the recommendation of a friend. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I have several vehicles and am in the auto business and can tell you that this shop is subpar. I called originally and spoke to someone about an alignment and inspection. Told him the vehicle needed some front end work including a front spring and if it did not effect inspection to perform it. I dropped the vehicle off around 11:30 and had not heard anything by 4:30. So I called. Spoke to mike and he said stop down we will talk about the vehicle. I was expecting a call but had to call them. I arrive to find none of the work performed and a bill for an inspection with s fail result for a cracked front spring and a small crack in passenger side of windshield. Considering I told him the vehicle needed a front spring and you could see the crack in the windshield why would you try to inspect the vehicle. Shops do that for a quick buck and a scam. Also the alignment he could not perform due to cracked sting. I mentioned all of this on the phone booking the appointment then when I spoke to Mike. Bottom line at the labor rates they charge their are far better shops in the area with better customer service. This shop is a basic tire shop not a diagnostic and technical shop. Big waste of time and unfriendly staff.

I've been taking my cars to Oakwood for years and never been disappointed with the service and reliability. Plus, Joe, Mike are total professionals and trustworthy, and their staff are very knowledgeable.
