Amazing father son team. Gerhard and his son know German cars well. Most importantly they are honest and upfront. They will not try to sell you service and things that are not necessary. They used original MB parts. Their labour and material prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend this team.

This place is the best kept secret in foreign repairs. Steve and Hans are top notch mechanics, stand up businessmen, and outright gentlemen who really know how to make their shop stand out from the hundreds of others in the area. Any shop can plug a computer into a car and swap parts but these guys are *mechanics* in every sense of the word. They know how to fix things and not just throw parts at the car hoping something works. I really value and appreciate Hans pure skill when it comes to servicing my old VW. Every single time I ve been to them I leave with a smile on my face because it just makes me feel good knowing that he s so familiar with old VWs, appreciates them, and spends time making sure my car stays in good order. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Gerhard's. I own a 2014 320i that I bought certified pre-owned from BMW while living in California. I moved back to NY right before the pandemic hit. After being ripped off at the Oyster Bay BMW service center TWICE, I knew I had to find a somewhere else to have my car serviced. Luckily I found Gerhard's through google maps and immediately called (from the BMW service parking lot). I spoke to Steve about my car trouble and explained what needed to be fixed. Steve was a straight shooter and called me back within minutes with a quote to fix the waterpump and replace the battery. He also recommended to replace the thermostat since it most likely needed it or would very soon. BMW never even suggested this, and I would have ended up back there to be charged for labor all over again. Do yourself a favor and give Steve a call. I wish I would have known about this place sooner, because I would have saved myself a lot of money and TIME. The aggravation of dealing with car trouble as a woman is two fold, because it can be intimidating. I took my car for a simple oil change at BMW and was bombarded with a list of things that didn't really need fixing. It's easy for BMW to tell you everything is wrong with your car, because they're holding it hostage and you can't check it yourself. I only fixed what was necessary and ended up having to get the car towed back to BMW a week later. Cost me a small fortune (get AAA, another life lesson). Again I am so happy to have found Gerhard's and love that they are a family owned business. I will never go anywhere else. Steve and his Father are wonderful trustworthy gentleman! Please don't make the same mistake I did, call Steve now! He's the best!Service: Battery

I had some work done on my car at Gerhards Auto and the work came out better than anticipated, they were completely professional in there work as well as communication on how the project was going. By far the most best shop I have ever had the pleasure of working with, I truly appreciated the work that went into my car and very grateful for the workmanship that took place. Thank you!

I had a fuel issue with my car. Steve and the guys quickly diagnosed the fuel pump as the problem. They replaced my parts with original Motorcraft parts and the car runs great! I even got my inspection done at the same time!

I have been looking for an honest mechanic for a long time. I have finally found him. This was a trial run but found out that not only did i find friendly service but i found an honest price. My car will always go to gearhards!

Stephen is honest and forthright. Doesn't sell you what don't need. The crew do great work and are friendly. Cleanest shop I've seen.
