Was visiting Cornwall-on-Hudson from the city and needed an oil change and a battery inspection. Called ahead and Bruce Jr. got us in quickly first thing in the morning knowing we only had one car and needed it to get around. Dropped it at 8 a.m. and had the car back by 10:30 he did an oil change, swapped our battery, changed the filters and windshield wipers, all while keeping us updated about the price (very transparent about labor costs too!) and the process/experience via phone calls. He went over all of the work again IRL when we returned to pick up the car. Bruce and his dad were honest and efficient and the service was excellent. Wouldn t hesitate to return if we are in the area again!

This was my first time bringing my vehicle to Bruce and I was very impressed with his work and would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for great auto care and great customer service.Bruce is very communicative throughout the entire process and I felt very comfortable the whole time. Bruce does a good job breaking down his plan of action and keeping you in the loop. I will definitely be coming back in the future. Thank you again Bruce!

Honestly can't say enough about how impressed I am with the customer service and professionalism of this shop. Bruce and his dad run a tight ship and it shows. The times we've been stationed at USMA we knew we would not need to worry about our automotive service.The shop is clean and organized and they are always timely with updates and an itemized bill.If you're looking for a job to be done correctly, at a fair price, by people who are looking out for your best interest... This is the place.

These guys are the best - family owned and operated Bruce will take care of you. They explain everything and give you options. I have a 2010 Toyota Camry 200k and he treats it like a new car. Go see Bruce at Village Auto!

Took a 1988 Lincoln Town Car that had been off the road for almost 10 years to Bruce and team. Wow - what a smart, detailed job they did helping me get a few key pieces fixed to get her back on the road. Detail oriented, careful & most of all kind. Great to have a resource like this in this area.

Village Auto Repair is the definition of great service. Bruce Ramsey Sr and Jr are a very professional team and most importantly, ETHICAL. In a business where people can easily be taken advantage of, I trust the Ramseys with all my auto repair needs without any apprehension.The Ramseys have been working on my cars for a few years now. I went to see them recently because the trunk on my Range Rover wasn't working properly. Upon inspecting the car, Bruce Ramsey Jr went beyond the scope of my visit to inform me that I had an error code regarding my catalytic converter and that it was still covered under warranty. I was a few thousand miles away from the warranty to expire. I took the car to Range Rover and it would have been a $3,800 job.Very professional, respectful, flexible, reliable and efficient. Had a great experience with Bruce and his dad! They did an oil change and replaced my front brakes and rotars, as well as fixed the mess on my back brakes from a previous shop. The car drives like it s new! Their attention to detail and transparency on their services shows the pride they take in their work. Will definitely use them from now on!!

I brought my vehicle for an oil change I brought my own oil and filter they charged me $96.00 dollars and I owned a transmission company, by the looks of it they didn't change the oil because within a month the vehicle is smoking which means I need an oil change.don't trus this guy's a lot of talk no action.

I went for an emission inspection. They were ready for me at the scheduled time, and took great care of me. I was out in just a few minutes, and had a very pleasant experience talking to Bruce. They know cars well, and are happy to help

Can t say enough about the quality of service and attention to detail here. You know you ll always get an honest evaluation and fair price no matter the size of the job. Bruce had the best customer service I have ever experienced--not just in auto, but overall. He held constant communication every step of the way, explaining what I had wrong with my car. Very, very professional man and extremely friendly.

We just moved to the area and needed a local auto repair shop to help us maintain or Mini Cooper and Hyundai Tucson. We received many suggestions, but chose Village Auto because it was walking distance from our house. This family run shop is clean, friendly, professional and reasonable. They provided a seasonal check up and oil change for me. Bruce and his father have been in business 15 years and a great local business.

Very courteous and knowledgeable service. This was my first visit to the shop. From the moment I made the appointment, to the moment that I picked up my vehicle they made me feel as though I had been a customer for years. My wife and I recently learned about Village Auto Repair and won't go anywhere else now. Bruce from Village Auto is fantastic. He's efficient and does excellent work.Before you spend hundreds' of dollars bringing your car to a dealership, where they charge you the maximum price, first bring it to Bruce at Village Auto Repair.Bruce will advise you on the truth about your car so that you can intelligently question your dealership and bargain down the price. You may end up using Village Auto Repair to do the same repair or maintenance that your dealership is wanting to do for 3-times the price.I wish I learned about Village Auto sooner and could have saved a truckload of money.

Came here for an inspection which was actually by appointment and the owner (Bruce) told me I failed but was still happy to charge me. He tried to lecture me telling me my tail lights were illegal, which they most certainly are not. He also told me my e brake did not function, which I am not sure how they even tested. I went somewhere else and got passed in 5 minutes. If you know just about nothing about cars this is the shop for you.

Can't say enough good about this place. It's rare to find a mechanic who is honest and trustworthy. Very helpful, acommodating, and great communication. Highly recommended.

I had my breaks done there, and my bill totalled up to $800. I was not really happy, so I rated the place, immediately I received a call asking for explanations. I didn't even write full details of my disappointment. I just hope I didn't create hate towards me.

i brought my honda pilot in too him to have a catalytic converter done, he told me he could not do it, i guess he is not that experienced, so i took it too another mechanic which is the one i will be using from now on. he replaced it in 1 day!
