A first time car buyer. I had a wonderful experience. Nathan was my Sales Rep and he was excellent. The process was efficient and while they informed me of every option available and made recommendations I did not feel pressured. I left with my first new car!

I vividly remember the process of buying my last car here back in 2017, a used 2014 RAV4 XLE. I remember I walked in mentally preparing myself to do what I call the dance with a sales associate. The stressful back and forth negotiations, fighting the pressure from them to make a decision on the spot, respomding to the probing questions like "SO what do you do for a living" in casual conversation knowing it s just them getting an idea of how much money I had to spend, etc. But to my pleasant surprise, none of that happened. I remember not feeling the pressure I was expecting to feel while talking with Brett. It was so refreshing to not have to deal with the questions and the probing. So when it came time to once again buy a car, I didn t hesitate to shoot Brett an email. Brett is the exact opposite of everything I hate about car dealerships and car salesmen. He isn't pushy, he isn't manipulative, he doesn't pressure me to make a decision, and he doesn't use those God awful cheesy car salesmen lines like "What can I do to get you in this car today?" People don't respond to those outdated tactics anymore and it seems Brett knows this. Make the customer feel comfortable and the transactions happens naturally. I showed up for a test drive, he threw me the keys and said he'll be here whenever I get back. We talked numbers a little the first day, communicated through email throughout the week, and finally when it came time to crunch numbers and get to negotiations the next week, he was patient and didn't try to sneak things in without me noticing. He didn t move numbers around to make it look like I was getting a deal when I really wasn t, he didn t try to fill silence with small talk while I looked at numbers and jumbled things around in my head. I was allowed to think about everything and I like that. I got a very fair price for my trade-in and I once again felt like I got what I wanted without being taken advantage of. The negotiations went smoothly and the whole process felt laid back, straight forward, and quite frankly, painless. As a customer, being allowed to think clearly and look at options and numbers without the pressure from sales associates makes all the difference in making smart decisions. It s for these reasons I specifically go out of my way and drive 30 minutes from Albany to buy cars here instead of going to the Toyota dealership just ten minutes from my house. Brett is the only sales associate I will deal with going forward. I bought my last car from him, I bought my new car from him, and I will buy my next car from him. He also receives my referral for anyone looking for a new Toyota. The drive is worth not having to deal with the Let s make you part of the family! dealerships. Every car salesman should be doing it the way Brett at Kinderhook Toyota does it.I couldn t be happier with my first brand new car. I got exactly what I wanted at a fair price. Thanks Brett!

Brilliant dealer that couldn t have treated me better. Well worth the 2 hour drive and once we sat down the whole process was done in less than 45 minutes as we knew our numbers going in. Tim is a superb salesperson to work with who is super communicative and made sure we were constantly kept in the loop. Issac was very straightforward and kept everything clean and easy. Couldn t recommend getting a car from Kinderhook enough and any future Toyotas we get will hopefully come from them!

TLDR: Kinderhook Toyota restored my faith in car dealerships; provided me with honest, kind, and outstanding customer service; and proved to me that buying a car can be a great experience!--After connecting with and visiting several car dealerships, I was feeling so weary, overwhelmed, and stressed about the idea of buying my first car. It seemed like everyone had one price online - but another in person, had "just sold the car listed on the website" but had another pricier model I "simply had to see," or was trying to upsell me on nitrogen tires...Enter Kinderhook Toyota. I read the great reviews, and, even though they were 2 hours away, decided to give them a try. I'm so glad I did.Brett provided us with honest, transparent, kind, and professional customer service from day one. He explained everything clearly to us, patiently answered all of my questions, and never played any games with us. The car I wanted was available when and as promised. The price we discussed was exactly what I paid. The process was completely straightforward, and I felt so respected and valued as a customer.Kinderhook Toyota is a family-owned dealership, and it shows. It feels like they truly care about their customers. Brett led the way in providing us with exceptional customer service, but everyone with whom we interfaced treated us with integrity, kindness, and professionalism. Isaac from Financing should also be mentioned: He explained all of my options to me very clearly, made sure I understood everything, but was never pushy. I left the conversation with him feeling respected and confident about my choices.I recommend Kinderhook Toyota to anyone who is in the market for a car. They are truly a wonderful dealership!

Just cannot express how great this Dealership was after purchasing my 2023 Toyota 4Runner. Driving up from long Island NY 3 hours was well worth every minute. Tim, Josh and his finance manager made the experience so worth it. This team should be recognized for their exceptional customer service! I definitely come back and recommend anyone to this dealership

I've always had a good experience with Kinderhook Toyota. If "they're slow" or I have to wait a day for an appointment, it's because they sell the best car around, and a lot of them. So, there are a lot of scheduled maintenances and inspections etc. to perform for a lot of clients. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I just purchased a new RAV4 Hybrid from Kinderhook Toyota and the experience was simply outstanding from start to finish. I had worked with another local Toyota dealership for over a year without success -- during that entire time they never offered me a vehicle with the key features I was looking for and were unable to give me a clear explanation of how Toyota's allocation system worked. During my very first call with Tim Smith at Kinderhook, he explained precisely how the allocation system worked, and then went to work to find me a vehicle in the Toyota pipeline with exactly the exterior and interior colors and features I was looking for. He never over-promised and always exceeded my expectations. Tim frequently followed up with me during his days off. There was never any pressure from Tim in sales or Isaac in finance to buy anything I didn't want, both during the initial sales process and after the vehicle arrived. From start to finish this was a thoroughly pleasant experience. Kinderhook Toyota is a totally trustworthy dealership who I would recommend doing business with for your next Toyota purchase.

I have purchased several vehicles here over the years and have also serviced them here. The people are friendly and the prices are reasonable. Specifically I would like to call out Tim, Isaac, and Verne as being exceptionally helpful. I highly recommend Kinderhook Toyota for sales and service. I have dealt with other dealerships in the past and I always come back here because I feel like no others appreciate my business like they do.

I bought my most recent vehicle here. We loved the sales rep and all of them seem great. You tell them what you want and they ll show you. They ll also leave you alone to wander around on your own. My husband really appreciated this. They just so happened to have exactly the newer used car we were looking for at a good price. The service department is a little slow but I don t mind. The chairs are comfortable and the lobby is really roomy. You can walk around, play on your phone. It s a nice dealership in my opinion.

Nathan and the owner were fantastic to work with. Isaac was excellent. They were very open and honest from the time we started the process to the time we drove away with a brand new car. I ve brought multiple cars over the years and this was the best experience.

Old fashioned dealer. Treats you as a person, respects your knowledge. The service dept. does not specialize in finding reasons to up-sell questionable repairs, indeed they often will take you in the shop to see and explain what they might find. Sales appears to value happy customers over closing a deal on every person who comes thru the door. We have bought three vehicles there upon the recommendation of a neighbor who cited the same reasons I said above.

How i want to say a great experience, but I can't. Sorry Ray Zarcone I tried to work with you. Your greed (commission) is stronger than your integrity. The vehicle I bought, it's 140? point inspection didnt happen and I didn't check it out, cause I trusted them. I had to go back twice for the truck to be fixed. I was never reimbursed. Service smoozing doesn't always work. The customer pays for their lack care & professionalism.John Pelletier

Earlier this Summer I had my car serviced. They cleaned the vents to my hybrid battery. Since the cleaning, I've been consistently getting more than 40 MPG. My average MPG has gone from 39.9 MPG up to 40.3 MPG.

Went in for new tires, came out needed new rims. Damaged 3/4. Wouldn't recommend this place to an enemy. bill shitendick told me how did he know i didn't do it.. the scuff on the rims line up on the tire.. hmm maybe thats how?

After searching in my area (about an hour south of Kinderhook Toyota) and being given astronomical prices on a lease I wanted for a 2020 Tacoma, I reached out to Kinderhook Toyota on a whim. Brett Anderson very quickly responded to my inquiries, was incredibly helpful and communicative and spoke to me knowing that I knew what I was talking about. Brett was able to get me the Truck I wanted in the price area I wanted, as well as help me get a fair evaluation for my Trade In.Besides having an awesome sales person, The dealership is clean and looks incredible. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I had my two sons with me, both under Age 3, and one of the other Sales Reps gave my oldest trouble maker a toy car to play with so he wasn't bored.I will continue making the drive up the Taconic, just to use this dealership for future purchases.

Beware!! Service department is horrible!! My husband just brought his Toyota with custom ceramic rims there to have tires changed they scratched three out of four rims and aren t doing anything about it! When he picked the car up and showed the woman working at the service desk she smirked and wasn t surprised said something to the effect that it s not the first time. Took pictures but the service manager couldn t care less! This is a $30,000 vehicle that was purchased from them and when he first bought it there they talked him into an anti- scratch coating and then chipped his windshield while applying it, to a brand new car and again they did nothing! Save your money and drive to Latham! They do not care about the customer just your money! Service department is incompetent!

My wife came in today (for the first time) with our four month old son - the staff were incredibly helpful and made her feel comfortable for the few hours they were there. They fixed the problem with her car as well, but the service set them apart. They gained a repeat customer today.

Went in test drove a great Used Tacoma. They miss-priced my trade (left off options... likely intentional). Told them the price I would pay and what I wanted from the trade. Was told by salesperson hey would get with sales manager next day(Was late) and get back to me. 3 days later emailed sales person, was told would have numbers shortly(was told they were shopping my vehicle), two days later no response now looking at truck at another dealership due to lack of response.

Nice people at the service counters very helpfull with my tundra questions ! Also I am VERY VERY Sorry to hear that Karen from the parts counter passed away ! She was a very nice person that I new for many years allways happy allways smiling she loved riding her suzuki 4 wheeler and looked foreward to the weekend to do just that. She allways got the right parts for me no matter what brand I was working on this came to a real surprise to me hearing about this happening. It hit me hard just after my brother passed away a few week's ago. Well I will allways remember her smile ,
