Came in after I took my car to BMW service department around November. They had told me I needed new breaks and an alignment for over 800 with alignment. I dropped my car off four months later to do this preventative maintenance and they told me my car did not require any of this work, put everything back together and didn t charge me. Happy I found this place and will be going back.

Holbrook MTA is a fair auto service, and by fair I mean they don t try to sell you something that you don t need just to bump their bill/sales.MTA is straightforward and they tell you what you need to get your car taken care of and not 1000 other little items that you may need down the road or anything that is unnecessary just so they can pad their bill .Perfect example I took my car for a recall to Hyundai,while I was there I asked them to check my air conditioner because it wasn t getting cold. They tried to tell me that my compressor was gone and I need to pay over $1000 for a new one.I then took it to MTA who proceeded to fill it with Freon. That s all it needed was new Freon. It has been fine ever since.Holbrook MTA is a service station that I can trust plain and simple, and in these days and times that says a lot!

Richie and Anthony always give honest quotes for work and perform top notch service. Not like most shops that try to pull a fast one on you. You can tell by how busy they always are.

They were able to help me so quickly with a dire need at the end of the day. They worked on my car so quickly. They earned my trust. I don't live in the area, but I will use them going forward. Their customer waiting area is like a boutique hotel!

As a young woman it feels great to have my car serviced and not have to feel/think someone s trying to get over on me. They are extremely professional & for the first time ever I feel I have a place that looks out for me. I will recommend this business to anyone looking for their car to be serviced. This is a family run business that makes you part of the family after your first time there. I have been going to Richie for many years and my mom before me. Richie always treated my mom as I would a true gentleman. The work is always done right and pricing fair. Anthony at the front counter is friendly and knowledgeable. Give these guys a chance to make you happy. Old school ethics is a lost thing in most business's but not forgotten at MTA.

If you've ever needed an honest, reliable mechanic, then MTA is definitely the place to go! Rich has been an absolute staple of this community for years. They are always busy, which is a true sign of the innate trust & reputation that they've well-earned over the many, many years in business. Unlike many shady mechanics out there, he'll never try to upsell you to generate more business. He doesn't need to. Also, his guys are great. I only wish that I would have found him sooner. He's well worth the extra 10-15 min drive. Love him!

Dropped my car off to have the windshield replaced from a crack and it was done perfectly by the next day. Such great service with Anthony, the guys who work here are amazing, attentive, honest, and affordable. I highly recommend MTA over any other place if you want a place that is reliable and that you can trust

I called Rich at 3pm the other day with a issue with my car. The exhaust was ripped off during transport. We called him and he got it repaired the next day for us. He repaired the exhaust instead of just trying to order new parts to make it easy on him and his employees. He really went out of his way to keep cost down and gain a customer for life. I brought my Mercedes SUV in for a dead battery and A broken passenger seat (Which the battery is Inconveniently located under the passenger seat) and Holbrook MTA literally had it done in under a few hours For a reasonable amount. The owner is super chill and the staff is awesome as well. When I was leaving, I requested a quote for additional minor repairs to my seatbelt, air vent caps and window control Unit..... literally within 5 minutes... I had a text message with the prices. Love this place!!! Definitely my new shop!!!! Thanks Richie and staff!!!!!!

My family has been coming here 10-15 years. I've been coming here for 10 years. Always honest and quality work. Richie always gives an honest opinion and has always treated us well. I recommend a lot of people here and they're never disappointed.

MTA Auto at Holbrook is a great place for automobile repairs. Richie is very knowledgeable and a very kind guy. I have had several experiences with them and have always been very happy and satisfied with their work and fair price. Great people!

Great local auto repair shop.. do very solid work for a great prices, family run business they've been there for over 30 years. Definitely a top spot in holbrook/holtsville. Call and ask for Richie and he will take care of you. The biggest thing with mechanic shops is trust and MTA do what they say and get it done on time.

My car was completely crippled, it was un drivable.. if it wasn't stahling out, it couldn't get out of its own way.. I racked my brain trying to figure out the issue myself and it was just Way out of My League..since I've had the car it has never gotten good gas mileage and anytime I would get on the gas I'd detect a funny smell.. Richie has known my family for years and just has the years of experience that you only aquire with time in the business. The staff is very knowledgeable as well .. he pinpointed the issue as well as an unrelated issue and after thinking about it for a little while it made sense to why the car got such poor gas mileage.. they gave me an excellent very honest and fair price.. anytime I use any small business locally if I'm treated right I always like to let others know and try and support them.. thanks again MTAService: Engine repair

Great service..Had to get the catalytic converter replaced on a work van. They had the van up in the air and explained what they did and how they fixed it..An honest mechanic at a fair price

If you wish to get robbed this is the place. Went in with a jeep wobble 800 dollars latter still had the problem wanted to charge me more for parts. Looked up the part they did chang it was 209. I was there twice same problem. Never again

I've been going to Holbrook MTA for over 15 years.The work has always been top notch and the prices were alwasy fair.Rich is a down to earth, honest guy who take sthe time to explain the job and how it will get done right.I continue to go to MTA and always recommend them to anyone who tells me they need a great repair shop.

Horrible!! Took car in for simple inspection. Commited it would be done and ask two look at a couple minor issues. Wanted to keep 3 days. And then the old man flipped out cursing when I wanted it back. Very unprofessional and rude. I went to Richie after my landlord suggested MTA to me when my Thunderbird's alternator failed. I was really pleased with how quickly they responded with a tow, and they fixed it even quicker! Richie is a solid and honest mechanic. I had a great experience and I would recommend MTA to any friends or family in the area. Two thumbs up, great job, guys!!! Thanks again!

Work was satisfactory but when time to pay keys were dropped on counter from guy holding arm high completely disregarding my open hand looking at me. Was very busy atm there but gives no excuse for unfriendly service. For this alone I'll never go back even though is conveniently close to me & a busy place.

I have been going here for years. I have recommended this place to countless people. They are honest which is a true value to find. I have gone to other shops for issues that came up when they were closed. I have always regretted it. Often needing to get it done right by this shop latter.
