Everyone who works here is extremely kind. I m not knowledgeable about cars, but without my even asking, they always explain exactly what s going on in a way I can understand. They also offer various price options on how to solve the problem.My husband and I have brought our cars to them for two years. We had an extremely problematic car for a while, but they always went above and beyond to problem solve with us and keep our cars on the road. They get a lot of business, but are very patient, humble, and accessible.

I can t believe I haven t left these guys the 5 stars they deserve! Chris and Matt are amazing and I don t trust my car with anyone else. They are honest, reliable, hard working just the best! They go beyond my expectations and I hope you give them the chance to go beyond yours too!

Chris and Matt of 44/55 Autoworks are fantastic. I have used them over the past year for several issues from inspection to AC compressor replacement, and most recently, new tires. They are professional, courteous and incredibly friendly. They consult with you prior to doing any work that was not anticipated, and when possible, offer you several options. Their prices are fair and honest. I will continue to use them for all of my auto repair needs.

We had a last minute emergency with our car. Christian explained they were about to close but still offered to take a look at our car and if it needed work to work on it the following day. Our car was okay but the fact that he was willing to test drive and be honest about it not needed work meant a lot . Definitely recommend .

These guys are outstanding. No matter the issue they always fix it right the first time! If they suggest any further maintenance it is never in a pushy and they always do so in a very straightforward manner (i.e. in about 3,000 miles you will need new rear tires). They never perform any unnecessary work and are completely honest and transparent. This is the only place I trust with my Jeep.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Air conditioning, Oil change

This business is incredible. I ran into some trouble with my car today and had it towed to them. They not only fixed the problem, and two other things I wanted to get done, but also gave me a ride home when I dropped it off, took care of it in just a few hours, and gave me a ride to come pick it up. These guys are professional, efficient, friendly, trustworthy people who do good work. I recommend them to anyone having some issues with their vehicle in a heartbeat. Were I to look again for people to take care of my car, they d be my first call.

The guys here are amazing! I am new to the area and thankfully found a good reliable mechanic shop. We have brought our Jeep Grand Cherokee in multiple times for oil changes and brake issues. They were able to correctly diagnose a brake squealing issue that had been looked at by other mechanics multiple times. It drove us crazy but they correctly tied it back to an issue with the parking brake. We couldn t believe how many other mechanics looked at the same problem and were never able to correctly figure it out. Also, they inspected our snowmobile trailer and pointed out what would have been a blow-out for one of the tires if we didn t replace it. Thorough, reasonable prices and always prompt with responding/service.Services: Brakes, Oil change

The 3 gentlemen that own/work at the garage are all extremely knowledgeable and professional. I have been using them for over 4 years for our 3 cars and every visit is perfect. I'm really been happy with their work time and time again. I bring both my car and my wifes to them. They've always done a great job, and don't keep us waiting. Their pricing is also very reasonable.

From the moment I walked in I knew I was in the right place! Excellent service, very friendly workers and owners! Had an appointment today but couldn't make it due to a flat tire.... Called to reschedule but headed there anyway for them to fix the flat. Not only did they fix it but still serviced my car anyway. That's very accommodating! I'm so happy to support a local business I could be proud to recommend!!

Chris and Matt thank you so much for fixing my car. I had been bringing my car to an auto place across the river in Poughkeepsie next to Marist College for a little while since I switched over from a Honda to a Volkswagen. I couldn't find anyone in the area who was reliable and knew how to work on Volkswagens correctly. When bringing my new car to the auto place across the river they replaced my old windshield wipers with broken ones and said that they had to do my 5,000 mile oil change. Me not knowing anything about what my car specifically needed I said "yeah sure" like most people would say. After trusting these people with my car they failed multiple times and I was not satisfied with their services. My car began failing in multiple ways after having them service it three separate occasions. I was stalling out in the middle of the road while driving and my car wouldn't go anywhere, the engine light was on, and my car was shaking at every stop sign. When contacting Matt and Chris they told me to bring it in to be diagnosed so they could see what was going on themselves. I dropped it off on Sunday and I got a call right away on Monday from them. They were very fast with their response to the problem and fixed it in under 24 hours. I am happy to say I will be bringing my car there for now on. They are very trustworthy, they explain everything to you, and they fixed the problem for me right away! Thank you guys again for everything you guys are really good at what you do!

This is my husbands and my new go to shop. They are more than fairly priced, fast/efficient and went above and beyond. Matt even called to get my radio code to reset it, and set the time as well after he was done repairing my engine. Two thumbs up and five stars!

If your looking for honest mechanics, who fix a problem the first time, and do it in a timely manner, go see Chris and Matt. You won't be disappointed. I was looking for a new local mechanic since my cousin got out of the business. I tried a few local places and two dealerships over many years before trying 44 55 Auto. These places always over-promised on completion times, only to under deliver on those promises, and charge an arm and a leg. I gave 44 55 a shot at earning my business after I passed there place on my way to Poughkeepsie one day. They have exceeded my expectations ever since. Im only writing this review in hopes others will give them a shot too. They deserve it. -Rich

Matt and Christian are genius mechanics. 2 other mechanics couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car but when i brought it to them the price was way lower than expected and they got the job done. I should have brought it here in the first place. This is going to be my mechanic for life now

I was that throw-your-wrench-and-lose-it-forever level of frustrated with my boyfriend's car. So I brought the nightmare to Matt. I had all the right parts and he had all the right tools, so he was able to quickly do the swap. My hero!

Brought car in to get inspected but was told it could not pass due to bad ball joints. Checked the NYS inspection website and saw that this was not a part of the NYS inspection list. Argued this fact and was told I didn t know what I was talking about and inspection could not be done. Picked up car however the old inspection sticker was not on the windshield or given back. Now I m driving around without any inspection sticker and need inspection ASAP. Very unhappy with experience and will never be in contact with this mechanic again...
