I have a very dependable, but older car, so having reliable mechanics is very important to me.I first came to this shop a few months ago and have used them for several repairs since then.Based on the repairs and discussions from those visits, I am confident in saying that Hicksville Car Care provides very competent, careful repair work and genuinely honest advice, at a reasonable cost.I am delighted to have found them to care for my car.

I have an older car that my son uses for college. Routine and demand repairs seem to happen every couple of months. The guys in the shop are very fair and make the required repairs to keep me on the road at the best possible cost. I've used them for 20+ years and have always been happy and also recommend friends and coworkers to them. Went in based on review to change brake pads, trying to pass annual inspection. Another place gave an exorbitant quote, did not seem right. Joe and Carlos were very friendly and helpful. Ordered the parts and quickly did everything. They are good and people know it. Drop off your car early in the morning. I got there 8:20 on Sat, already a few ahead of me. First class service. Honest mechanic is in grossly short supply. Diamond in the rough! I'm glad I found them. Will be going for future services.

By far the worst shop I have ever brought my car to. I brought a 2014 Ford Escape for engine work. Carlos smashed my windshield. Charged me an unbelievable amount of money. Car was at the shop for 2 months. And every week he kept asking me to send and send more money to his zelle, because he kept running into new problems . Picked my car up 2 months after sending and sending him money, to where Carlos told me he was not at the shop, and another guy gave me the keys. Paid for an inspection. Did not do the inspection. And now I figured he did not do the inspection because he restarted my computer. And now check engine light is on. Drove it for 10 minutes, and through my AC, my car began to smoke with toxic smoke. I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old in the car with me at the moment. I have called and called Carlos cell phone, and no answer! He also left so many loose ends. He did not connect my turbo back. So the car sounds like an air blower the entire time I drive. I will be taking legal matters! Please no one use this shop! It s a complete rip off, and they do not respond to there garbage work!!! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PLACE!!! They will steal from you! Please do not go here!! Terrible terrible place!

Most honest mechanics I've ever encountered. I never leave there feeling overcharged. A nice bunch of gentlemen, always patient and respectful. Had an inspection, they tightened up my heat shield and topped off my fluids. Only charged for the inspection. The car is 15 years old and they've kept it alive and running smoothly. Highly recommended.

Paul, Eddie, and Joe are all great. I just started taking my 2 work vehicles there and they have been extremely fair on pricing and are very thorough in their work. They have even taken care of several extra things on a few visits at no charge. They also don't try to recommend and sell you extra unnecessary work, just to make more money, like I've experienced with MANY factory car dealerships. They'll give you their honest and expert opinion, and are quick to point out when I shouldn't waste money on something that is not needed. They are very trustworthy!

Paul and the crew have the distinction of being HONEST auto mechanics. Nowadays every shop seems to be eager to get you to do unnecessary service on your vehicles. Here, they only perform work that MUST be performed, and charge you only for that work. Good man. Called to ask to fix my side mirror and he fixed it right away. He gave me a fair price on the phone. When I got there, I asked if I can get an oil change too. He lowered the price he said on the phone. It was already one the lowest prices on the phone around Hicksville. Very fair man, I would definitely recommend this place.

Been going here 20 years or so. These guys are great, very honest people will not have you do unnecessary work to RIP you off like other places. Good prices also compared to other mechanics. Never mind the home run these guys are a grand slam

I've been going to Hicksville Care care for years even when they were in their Plainview location. They have always been fair to me price wise and the work has been top notch. These guys know their Toyotas. Currently they help me maintain my 2008 Toyota Highlander sport. Before that they were helping me with my families Toyota Camrys from 1996 and 1994. Oil change prices and maintenance prices are more than fair. Mechanics are good to work with too.

Tried to ask if I can get a oil change there but I guess because am not White no one wanted to talk to me . There was no one in the front desk so I Was right in front of them so they can see me !! One of them told me to go in the office I told him no one is there so I go in waiting then the same person tells me if the Blue car is mine he said I was blocking a car but he just wanted me to go because he never got into a car to move it so I left don t recommend any one to go there !!! Money is always going to be green

These guys are the best. I do some work on my car myself, but anything I can't handle I fully trust them to do it right. I can't say enough good things about Paul, Eddie and Joe.

Price was okay, got charged $140 something that cost $20 bucks in part and labor will take no more than 30 mins to be done. I'm not completely new to auto mechanic and would have done it myself if not in a rush for the car to be repaired.
