Owner loves to passive aggressively educate women on cars. Overall terrible customer service with an obligation to withhold the car for as long as possible so that they can find a way to undervalue the car and take the parts for themselves. The front desk woman freaked and hung up the phone when I said I wanted to tow it to another place for a second opinion from a more reliable repair shop we ve worked with in the past. Don t take your car here, if your car is here right now, take it as far away as you can and go to someone more honest.

I can t thank Ernie s enough for their help! My car was hit while parked in April and we decided to use Ernie s for the first time based on reviews we had seen. Tammy is a wonderful, helpful person who made this somewhat annoying experience into a much more pleasant experience! We never felt like they were being untruthful in their advice and Tammy even spoke to the insurance company on our behalf to get more money per day for a rental.Hopefully I don t have to go back to the shop anytime soon for repairs, but if I do, at least I know things will be taken care of.Service: Body & Trim

My car was damaged by unsecured debris that fell out of the back of a pick up truck on the highway. I brought it to Ernies auto body (the shop both my family and I have been using since I was a kid) and I couldn't be happier worth the results. The damage was to the front end on the passenger side. When I got the car back (which is now 16 years old) I couldn't be happier. The car looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor. There isn't a better body shop on the island. (Headlights are different due to awaiting custom parts for a custom headlight retrofit)

Getting into a car accident is never something you want to experience. Someone made an illegal u-turn as I was crossing an intersection (She thought she had a green arrow) and hit the front end of my car. I ve never been in an accident before and I ve never had my airbags deploy. A terrible, frightening experience I never want to experience again. My car had moderate front end damage to the passenger side and needed multiple airbags replaced (Steering wheel, under dash, passenger side airbag). My car was taken to Ernie s autobody and I wasn t sure what to expect. My car is fairly new and is a lease and I didn t want to be charged money for an aftermarket part at the end of the lease. I had thoughts of taking it to my dealers preferred body shop but upon speaking with Tammy at Ernie s she made the decision easier. They only use OEM BMW parts. Ernie s works with a BMW dealership not too far from the shop and they get their parts ordered from that dealer.Tammy was excellent with helping me along through the ENTIRE process. She set me up with a rental car and provided me with updates on my cars progress. My car stayed at Ernie s an extra 2 weeks due to BMW s recall on one of the airbags. Tammy spoke to BMW on my behalf and expedited the recalled part and my car was back together. After about 6 long weeks my car was finally repaired. The Pictures speak for themselves. They even detailed my car and through in some gifts as well. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for auto body repairs to check out Ernie s Auto Body. Thank you to the Entire staff at Ernie s Auto Body, thank you Tammy and thank you Ernie!

Ernie & Team do exactly as their motto says: "At Ernie's Auto Body You are Never Just a Customer ... You are Part of The Family!" My wife and I were AMAZED how friendly, honest, and helpful Ernie, Tammy, and Julia were. They really treat you like family. I was unlucky getting into a car accident, but was very fortunate to pick Ernie's Auto Body shop to tow my car away from harm's way quickly. They provided me valuable guidance throughout the repairs and insurance process from the start to finish, and even though I did not end up repairing my car, it was because Ernie was more looking after my interests than his own even though he would have benefited more had he repaired the car. If I ever have to again, I will definitely come back to Ernie's as they have earned my trust! Ernie, I will definitely recommend you to my friends and family! Ernie s is the absolute best! I will never go anywhere else! Tammy & Julia are both incredibly helpful and on top of everything! Literal best and most honest auto body shop I ever stepped foot in. The moment I walked in the door I was greeted by the very friendly Tammy which we scheduled a day for me to come back and have the guys take a look at my car.That day comes and she has my car looked at and explained and showed me everything that needed to be done. She was straight up with me and told me what my options were. I can't recommend this place enough. Tammy will truly make you feel like family.

As a car guy with 10 cars and some are classics. I m very selective who I choose to work on my cars.I have read all the great reviews, Ernie s excellent workmanship, stellar reputation, courteous service, attention to detail, more importantly, Ernie is HONEST which is extremely rare in the auto body repair business nowadays.I contacted Ernie to inquire if he can reattach my lower stainless steel rocker panel for my Lincoln. Ernie informed me to come right in.Due to the fantastic online reviews, I drove in to Hicksville from Astoria, Queens to Long Island over an hour drive.Upon meeting Ernie, we both hit it off. He is exactly what everyone had indicated in their positive reviews. He cares about his customers satisfaction and that is extremely rare in this business.Ernie is an honest, old school, super nice Gentleman who is very professional, accommodating, had a worker start on my car immediately upon arrival. Wow!!! Finally an honest Professional Auto Body!!! I am absolutely thrilled with the work that Ernie and crew put in to fix my truck! I have never had a better experience anywhere, It was super easy someone hit my truck and left while it was parked. My first call was Ernie s.... Tammy had me bring in my truck and helped me with all insurance details even speaking with the adjuster for me. 3 days later I had my truck completely fixed and detailed. I had gotten into an accident and took my car to Ernie's Auto Body. Tammi in the office couldn't be any nicer and was able to answer all my questions. They were able to handle everything with my insurance company and were able to set me up with a rental car. They were so helpful in a time when I didn't know what to expect. They did a fantastic paint job it looks brand new. They did it in a timely manner and completed the work on time. I would recommend Ernie's Auto Body because it was an overall fantastic experience.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Ernie's Auto Body is the place to take your car to be repaired after it has been in a collision!!! Tammy and Ernie are the best!They both make you feel like you are part of the family which is why I have been going there for over 20 yrs now.They take care of every detail from start to finish and leave your car like it was better than new if that is possible!!Tammy works directly with your insurance company and they even coordinated getting me a rental.We had a problem with a part not being available and Tammy had me call Chevy to start a claim, then she jumped on board. Since the truck was ready sans the grill, they gave it back to us to use and save on the rental. And within a few days they had the part, made us come back to put it in and we had the truck back that same day.An awesome experience every single time, if you can truly say that after a car accident!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I just got my car back and it looks absolutely amazing thanks to Ernie s Auto Body shop. My family has been using Ernie s for a while now. This is my first time getting work done with them & I am so happy & amazed how perfect my car looks especially with all the damage that was done. It looks even better then new! Great costumer service! Extremely fast working! They are the sweetest people around. I highly recommend them. Believe me you don t want to go anywhere else!Thank you Ernie, Tammy & team!!

There isn t enough space to express how helpful and professional Ernie s staff was when I was involved in an accident, especially Tammy! Unfortunately my experience with the insurance company was not as smooth. Tammy was responsive and extremely helpful during this exhausting and frustrating process. She assisted me until the issue was finally resolved. I can not recommend this auto body shop enough! And my car looked as good as new!Service: Body & Trim

The absolute BEST body shop on the island. Ernie is an awesome guy who clearly loves his business and keeping his customers happy. Brought my car in after someone smacked it up badly, and the car looks better now than it did when I first purchased it. Always use Ernies and will continue to! Great shop, great employees and incredible work to go along with it! Always makes you feel welcome and a priority. Makes the experience feel as smooth as it possibly could. Everything from Tammy when you walk in to drop off your car to the second you pick it up is just pain free and perfect! Thanks again guys!!!

I was recently in an accident and needed a place to take my car to get her fixed up. Upon the recommendation of my mechanic, I brought my car to Ernie's Auto Body and I'm really glad I did. From start to finish the entire staff was super helpful and really nice. They handled everything with the insurance company and kept me informed of everything as it happened. I'd especially like to thank Tammy at the front desk because her cheerfulness and professionalism is really appreciated when you have to deal with all the anxiety and shenanigans of significant body work done to your car and the hassle of insurance. But beyond the great treatment of the staff, I was even more impressed by how unbelievably amazing the car looked when they were done with it. I did a double take because if I didn't know better, I'd say they swapped out my car with a brand new one! She sparkles and shines like she just rolled out of the show room. Every time I walk to my car to get in now, I pause for a moment to marvel at it. My car is 12 years old and it now looks like it's maybe 12 days old! I've been telling everyone I know about the great work Ernie's did and they've definitely made a customer for life out of me. If you have any body work they you need done, do yourself and your car a favor and bring it to Ernie's. You'll be getting your money's worth for sure.

My family started going to Ernie's Auto Body over twenty years ago. I have brought several cars to Ernie's during the last ten years. Ernie's work is impeccable!! He and his entire staff are super professional and relieve the customer of the agony and frustration of dealing with the insurance company after an accident. Ernie is old school, no nonsense, and a staunch advocate that fights for the customer's rights when dealing with the insurance company. Ernie and staff are intent on making the customer experience as pleasant and stress-free as possible. Any and all vehicles that I have brought to Ernie's for repair looked like they came out of the showroom when finished. My latest trip to Ernie's was for a sideswipe with not a tremendous amount of damage to the left front fender. The car was finished a week ahead of schedule, washed and detailed making it look better than when it was purchased from the dealer. I would be remiss if I did not mention Tammy who I dealt with in the office and on the phone. Tammy is and was the epitome of customer service and someone that clearly takes pride in her job in helping people through what would otherwise be additional stress if it was not handled in the professional manner that Ernie's Auto Body has consistently demonstrated. I need to put Ernie on speed dial because the sooner he gets involved, the easier my situation becomes when someone crashes into my vehicle (I think there is a magnet that pulls people closer to me when I am driving:). Thank you Ernie, Tammy, and staff!

I had an amazing experience with Ernies Auto body shop. After my accident they were quick to take care of any of my needs. Ernie himself re-assured me that everything would work out and Tammy was so responsive anytime I had a question. They worked close with my adjuster to get the car evaluated and Tammy updated me herself during each step. I couldn't have asked for a more seamless experience. I will be recommending to all my friends and family!

My daughter got into a car accident and we had the car towed to Ernie's. They held the car for approximately 2 weeks and was not able to find the parts to fix the car. They charged us daily storage fee for the car being parked at their shop. Terrible way of doing business when it is the shop's fault for not obtaining necessary parts and charging customer's for storage fee when the car is not driveable and needs to be towed to auto body shop is capable.Service: Body & Trim

Ernie s auto body is amazing! Ernie and Tammy are such a pleasure to work with and made fixing my car an incredibly pleasant experience. They even had my car inspected and the oil changed while doing body work. My car came out of the shop looking better and cleaner than the day I got it from the dealership. Highly recommend, they are the best!!

Accident is always a horrible experience, specially if the car is only few weeks old. The only way to make it any better is finding a good workshop. I have to say Ernie's Auto Body made the whole experience bearable. They did a fantastic job, from handling insurance company to fixing the car. Insurance company tried to cut corners on replacing damaged parts and the way Ernie's Auto Body handled insurance company for my interest was amazing. If you have a car you certainly need a good workshop. For me the search is over. So could be for you. I highly recommend this shop. Special thanks to Tammy, she so gracefully handled everything.

My car was hit a while back and a friend of mine sent me here and I can not tell you how happy I am. Ernie and his crew are the definition of professional. My car was badly damaged and I was devastated and Ernie assured me everything would be taken care of in a timely manner and with the best quality. Dealing with Insurance companies can be an absolute nightmare but Ernie helped me with everything. The relationships he's built with all the companies made it such a smooth process. My car was fixed in a very timely manner and when I walked up to the car I couldn't believe how good it looked. Not only did he fix the damage but he washed and detailed the car. If you want someone that goes above and beyond every at every chance they get this is the place to go. I can't thank you guys enough!!! I will definitely be sending customers your way!!!

Can t say enough good things about Ernie s, it was an all around great experience! I will definitely be recommending them to anyone who needs. They took care of my truck this week that had some body damage on the fender and it looks brand new. I even had an issue with another truck of mine that I mentioned and he took care of it at no cost. Ernie and Anthony are really good honest guys, not to mention as a fellow family owned small business owner I m happy to support them!

I really appreciate all the help provided with all concerns I had regarding my auto. Straight to the point and handles all aspects between the insurance companies. No hassle and no BS.Always do a great job and I highly recommend Ernie's.8/2019. Unfortunately, another auto needed repair, but I brought it back to Ernies. Great job. Always the best. Car came back perfect.

Ernie s is the BEST. I got into a car accident and called Ernie's, they towed my car to the shop. Once I got to the shop I was greeted by the sweetest woman Tammy. She explained everything to me, gave me a time frame to expect insurance to look at the car and took care of a rental for me. When I picked up my car it looked brand new, they even got my car detailed! It looked like I just drove it out of a car dealership. They even returned my rental for me! They made my difficult experience so smooth and simple. Of course I hope to not be in any accidents but if so, I know I ll be in good hands at Ernie s.

Thank you, Ernie's.You know you're dealing with a pro's pro when you cannot thank them enough or recommend & rate them as high as possible.I'm a longtime Hicksville resident and fully aware of Ernie's Auto Body. I had the good fortune to not ever need their impeccable service.All that changed today. Amazing...The friendliness and willingness to help were absolutely remarkable; especially given the fact that I'd stopped at 5 other shops while running errands all morning. All 5 gave me some version of a song and dance or BS story that exceed my needs or they just didn't care. At Ernie's, the boss himself took 5 minutes to assess the problem and two of his crew took even less time to correct it. I don't care whether I'm 25 or 2,500 Miles from home, should I ever need ANY collision work or damage estimates done, it's getting towed or driven straight to Ernie's Auto Body!!Mr. Demarco, I cannot thank you and the good folks of your crew enough. Ernie delivers the best customer service and workmanship I could ever hope for. Coming back to the train station I saw that my car s back side bumper was hit. I brought it to Ernies and I got a fair price for the repair, especially when compared to other auto body shops near my house, and he was able to do it in a very timely fashion. Ernie is the place to go if you want excellent customer service and workmanship! You will not be disappointed.

Great Work by Ernie's Auto Body! I was out of state and got rear ended by an Allstate customer. I mistakenly used Allstate's app to file my claim (Don't file a claim on the app). I did not approve of the Allstate quote, but Allstate still mailed me a small dollar check, and closed the claim. I was on the road, and when I got to New York, I contacted several body shops that basically did not want to deal with the Allstate issue.I then contacted Anthony, Tammy, and Ernie at Ernie's Auto Body. All three were great. Ernie's was able to reopen the claim with Allstate. They discovered additional damage, and worked with an actual human Allstate adjuster to cover the correct repair costs/bill. They also arranged for a rental car while mine was in the shop. I ended up with no out-of-pocket expenses. Paint job looks great, and car actually looks better than when I first bought it!Thanks Again!
