I ve had a couple transactions with this mechanic. I m conflicted on how I feel about my overall experience. I ve had a five star and a three star experience. Generally feel this place is standup and straightforward, but I don t like when a simple task is deviated from. If I ask for brakes and rotors that should have price up front. Not a call back later with a checklist of thing that need to be fixed under the hood. Why prod around away from what was asked for? After further review all my loose tools that were in my car are now missing and the mechanic on duty undid my work under the hood. I only asked for a brake job. Which shouldn t have cost $400 for a front axle in a civic needless to say this shop won t won t get a repeat customer.Services: Brakes, Oil change

Services rendered by Luis G. are exceptional. Professional, quality parts and timely service. Have always been skeptical of mechanics due to past sour experiences with other shops. Here at Marty's we have already had 2 vehicles serviced with outstanding results. We have been to several dealership repair shops who overcharged and never found the real issues with the check engine light. Luis G finally fixed it. Friends of ours from Bay Shore, Queens and Brooklyn come to Hempstead to seek his services. Never disappointed.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Had spark plugs replaced at 100,000 miles. Engine started misfiring 10,000 miles later. All plugs were pulled by a different mechanic and saw the plugs were severely worn from never having been replaced. The spark plugs are the iridium type and last for 100,000 miles. So they were just never replaced. Also had a tire overinflated to 52 psi. Never going back again. Beware this shop!Services: Tires, Auto engine tuning

This place was awsome we drove to long island from upstate ended up breaking down 40 mins outside of city had car towed marty looked at it the day they opened next day found the issue was extremely fair and honest super patient Every time I called for an update if i lived in NY id always bring my car to this place thanks Marty.
