I recently had the pleasure of entrusting my car to Maaco for a fresh coat of paint, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Brought a brand new car to be used as a NYC Taxi cab to make a decent living. This business claims they paint 80 taxis per year, and so we trusted them. There is only 1 iconic yellow shade required by the Taxi & Limosine Commission, yet this business painted our car the wrong color. They took no accountability and showed no empathy afterward. We lost thousands of dollars and have to get the car repainted. If you're looking for professionals to do a job correctly and advise you on their area of expertise, this is NOT the place. I should've looked at the Google reviews. This business is consistently rated 1 & 5 stars....something is not adding up.Follow up - we spoke to Maaco corporate and we're told we have to deal with the owner directly. The owner never owned up to the mistake. When we said we couldn't afford two paint jobs due to their mistake and couldn't drive the taxi with the wrong shade to make money, the owner said "lots of people can't afford it." Now the owner is responding to my review saying they want to help....they are lying.

I wasn t expecting a paint job as good as what I got, due to there reputation, for having the ninety nine dollars paint job special, during the old days. They Exceeded my expectations, I think the paint job was better than the original manufacturer s. I spoke to the service manager Kevin, he was as professional as one could be. He Didn t pressured me into getting anything that I didn t really needed. I would definitely do business with Maacco again. I truly recommend Maaco to everyone.Service: Painting

Took my car there to get painted, I wanted a new car but did not want a note. Decided to get it painted and have the front fender replaced. Well, I am happy to say i feel as though have a brand new automobile. The did a great job on the body as well as their painting. The price was reasonable and they were professional and it took about 10 days as promised. Highly recommend.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Had a couple of scratches and peeled paint on my bumper from a minor accident, and I didn t want to go through my insurance. Long story short, I got an amazing reasonable quote and agreed to get the job done. Picked up my car 3 days later n it was like new again. 100% recommend this shop.Service: PaintingService: Painting

I had my whole car painted. There were scratches, dents, and paint peeling on my SUV. They did a great job fixing the dents and painting my car. It s looks brand new. It s perfect. Very professional, courteous, friendly staff. Kevin did the estimate for my car. I dropped it off two weeks later and it was a quick turn around with good communication throughout. Everyone at the shop was professional and cordial. The car was ready to be picked up exactly when I was told it would be. My 2015 Toyota looks brand new. I don't think my car has been this clean since I purchased it! I have used Maaco Collision may times. They are both experienced and professional. They have always done a fabulous job on all of my vehicles. I have recommended them many times to both family and friends and they have also been very pleased with the results of their work. They always return the vehicle as promised and they do a wonderful job. I would give them 10 stars if the review allowed!

Had my removable hardtop for my miata painted here. For $350 they preped the surface and matched my cars factory color perfectly. Hardtop looks amazing and only took them about 2 or 3 work days to complete it. Very friendly guys as well, I had to borrow some tools to put the roof back on and they were extremely patient and useful.

Got my car painted a completely different color last year and it was done so well it looked like a factory original. I also had some damage that they took care for me as well.I was rear ended this year and had significant damage. I took it to Maaco and between Kevin and Steve the process to get it repaired was smooth and stress less. Can't say enough good things about this place.

What a big ripoff scheme went there for an estimate I get quoted 2,300 for the cheapest paint job reason was because they have to sand down the car he saidl I'll tell you these people think that the customers are dumb stay far away from this place

I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin. He was courteous and professional. I have a red beat up Murano and they took out the dents and sprayed it. It looks like a new vehicle now. The price was right and I got it back at the designated time. I am a satisfied customer. Thank you Maaco!!

Got my car painted here this past summer and this is a place of torment. They ripped apart my convertible and would not own up to it. As soon as I put the convertible down the molding pieces flew right off as if they have been tampered with. I took it right back to Kevin at Maaco and he seemed like he already knew what I was upset about. He said oh we never even put down the convertible while painting it we did not even know it was a convertible. I thought these guys knew what they were doing when they were painting my car anyone who knows a thing about cars can tell that I have the convertible model. I even told him when he asked me what type of car it was prior to dropping it off to get painted that it is a convertible model. Even if that was the case what Kevin fails to understand is that you don t have the put the convertible down to break it! It s common sense he would not own up to it or reason with me. His response is Well could of happened at any time these things get old just like you have to change tires. So it is just a coincidence that all this occurred right after you finished painting it? I took it to the dealership and they said I will need all new springs, molding, and all these other items they broke(1354.00) + tax. They even told me at the dealership that these guys at the maaco are filthy local savages and they destroyed my convertible system. I have dashcam in my car and have video evidence of staff staring at the dash cam and turning off my vehicle camera as if they have something to hide. I called Maaco customer service and told them what happened. It was even more of a nightmare than dealing with them in person they make it seem like they are being so helpful and that they're isn't a problem they can't resolve. I end up getting a call back over a month later from a grouchy woman saying there is nothing headquarters can do since the manager at this location does not want to help me... Isn't that the reason why I called you... What a joke.. Aren t you supposed to stand by your service and cover it if something like this happens?Service: Painting

Steve, he is charge of the jobs going in and out, I guess he's the shop supervisor...well anyway...he arranged my paint job for a special matte color that I wanted and he actually did the mixing and testing and research on the color...WELL...HE NAILED IT, everyone that looks at my car is amazed. It's a special matte gray color that Nissan uses. The color came out INSANE! I would recommend anyone to this MAACO shop, they really look towards making their customers satisfied. They will work with you.

I took my car to Maco in Hempstead yesterday and sw Kevin and I needed my bumper on the side fix and a wonderful job they did I was so happy I used them in the past years ago they never disappoint you just so happy

Amazing paint matching. Terrible finish. Too many contaminants in the finish causing them to wet sand unevenly. And, leaving the truck FULL of compound splatter. Even inside! Even the second time around. I refused the truck after the first attempt.

The painting commitment was for 4 days. The car was returned/ready in 7 days. It was quite an inconvenience to my family. The car was pitted on some parts of the car. use your own judgement.Service: PaintingService: Painting

When you walk into their offices you are greeted by teribbly painted walls. This should have been a RED FLAG for me. For if they can't paint walls how can they be trusted with my vehicle.Service: PaintingService: Painting

I brought my Chevy pick up to Kevin and it was a rust bucket, he told me he ll get the job done the right way and I gotta say him and his team are outstanding when I saw it after it was done, the truck was a brand new truck no rust the paint came out amazing, they took Their time and did it right, Kevin is the guy to bring your cars to, highly recommend, I couldn t be happier with how it turned out, thanks Kevin!
