Have always been to other Valvoline locations, and they are all great. This location does not follow prompts on computer and just clicks yes without even checking. At other locations they always do courtesy light and air check. Just the bare minimum was done. Won't be coming back to this location

Been here over a dozen times, always super helpful and eager to help.... until today. Pulled in and was very happy see that both bays were empty, no line at all and 3 or 4 employees present. Pulled up and talked to an employee that informed me that they require appointments now.... and the next available is about weeks out..... apparently the prefer to stand around talking to each other.....

I usually go to Jiffy Lube but I wanted to try Valvoline. I went today and had two cars ahead of me. One seemed that it was going to be longer and I understood that. The other car was finished quick so there was an open bay. Mind you there were 4 people working. So instead of having me pull into the empty bay three of the employee's decided to all take a smoke break right in front of me. I d rather wait longer at Jiffy Lube.

Came in for a vehicle inspection. One employee came out and said Yeah we don t inspect Teslas we don t allow them inside our shop . Okay why s that? Idk company policy.

Not a knock against the crew, I'll blame management. They are understaffed here. 40+ minutes in a line of 2 cars, that's rough.

These guys are great!Since they are so good, always a line of cars to get in.But, I was in luck becauseI was in and out of there in 15 minutes for an oil change.Very respectful and friendly.I highly recommend.

These guys are pretty good. They showed me the air filter which didn t need replacing. They checked the wipers. My only gripe is they don t always do inspections as drive throughs. You have to make an appointment.

Awesome first time experience. Very knowledgeable, happy atmosphere. David Wagner had great hospitality. Definitely one of the best oil changes ive gotten with this vehicle.

Worst place ever. Got an oil change and replaced both cabin and engine air filter. The cabin fan now sounds louder than it did before and they left out a couple screws in the bottom cover under the oil filter so I was dragging it until I heard the noise. I stopped to look under my car and saw it hanging for dear life. I went back and they refused to acknowledge they messed up. Definitely not recommended at all. Beware. So do it yourself or just go with the dealership.

#Bait and Switch!This location is offering 50 percent off all conventional oil changes. After you wait on the line, and it's your turn, they tell you...."Oh we can't honor coupons we filled our conventional tanks with synthetic this month."And offer no other options.***The lack of response from management or corporate proves their intent. Good thing there's a Jiffy Lube at every other corner now.**** Came back 3 weeks later, same excuse. No response from corporate yet, almost shows corporates approval of mislead their customers.SCAM!Service: Oil change

Saturday got an oil change and they were so nice. I got my oil changed done quick. They were very knowledgeable and made sure that I got everything I needed done. I was very happy with their service and will go again when I need another service done!

Update: Not really impressed with this place anymore. It seems like they bobbled my oil filter when taking it off and spilled used oil everywhere. It was all over the subframe and inside as well. This led to overnight dripping on my new driveway.I understand things happen, but if you make a mess, at a minimum say something so I can clean it properly. I shouldn t have had to though. For $105 you would think you d get some care.Not sure I ll be back. Brian and his team were first rate. I brought my brand new Mustang to them for a NYS Inspection (I purchased out of state). They treated both my car and I with exceptional attention to detail. They put in a seat cover, a steering wheel cover and a floormat before getting into the vehicle; I've never had someone use a steering wheel cover before, but it makes so much sense in retrospect. Brian clearly is a car guy and it showed from start to finish.He even went so far to ask how I wanted the sticker placed on the windshield before he attached it (I hadn't put the reg sticker on yet). A crooked sticker really high off the dash would have driven me crazy all year.If you need a quick-stop service, go see Brian - he gets it.

My mechanic retired and I needed an oil Change. I pulled in, No Appointment. They asked me a few questions about what I wanted done. They changed the oil, did the routine checks and I was on my way. Very happy.... Polite, professional, and not pushy. Just an FYI: I had just replaced my air filter the week before. You Should take care of that. Especially in this area. Your air filter has been eating a LOT of road salt all winter. It may look clean, but it's probably loaded with salt dust. I will be going back . Quick, Professional, Friendly and Quality oil.

This place is horrible. The manager is a joke. They fixed my AC and it still doesn't work correctly. His response was he can't do anything more because it's another problem. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. THEY ARE INCOMPETENT.

I brought my car in for state inspection and everyone was incredibly friendly and professional. I was in right at my scheduled time and out within 20 minutes and noone tried to sell me anything unnecessary. Overall it was a great experience.

Got my oil changed without an appointment, Dave was nice. Price was par for the course for a synthetic oil change, (pricey but not more expensive than anywhere else I've been) but I was able to use an online coupon to bring the price down a bit below what I am used to so that was nice.I did get nudged to replace two filters on my car, I accepted both because they did look quite bad. One hadn't been changed since the previous owner purchased the car, so that was probably a good thing to have done anyways.Good experience overall.

I can't express how appreciative I am of this place. I had a family medical emergency and my inspection lapsed way past it's expiration date. I realized it and quickly tried to get it done, but everywhere is booked up. On a whim, I drove into the Valvoline next door to me right before they opened and the inspector was so kind he took my car and did the inspection very quickly!!! I will definitely be back for my other needs. Thank you!!!

I used to be able to get an inspection around Schenectady County valvolines, now they don't wanna do them, I wonder if corporate is aware of that. They told me that corporate was pushing oil changes because they were worth more money!! I guess things have changed.

Don't bring your car there and never do oil change. This is the 2nd time they miss up my car. 1st one was doing oil change. After they finished the car didn't start. They told me it is an alternator and needs to be replaced. I argued with them and they checked again and found out that they didn't put the air filter back. They put the filter back and the car started normally. If agreed with them to replace the alternator I would spent over 1000$ and the car still wouldn't work because of the air filter. 2nd time they told the oil case bolt won't open and they can't do oil change. I told them I always bring my car to you and change the oil. They refused to do the oil change. Be smart and don't go there.

Avoid if you can. The guy was smoking inside while getting the oil change, rude and didn t use the correct coupon. Will never go back. Do not go avoid.

Oil change went well. A little more time than expected, but that's all good. My issue was the aftermath of said oil change. I drove 30 miles and my check engine light came on with a severe oil pressure code. Instead of towing my car to get it looked at, Valvoline (Dave) decided to drive to me to look at my vehicle, which was very nice of him, but not the right move. Upon Dave's inspection, he concluded that my engine code issue was not oil change related (crazy coincidence), even though I had just had my oil changed so close to this issue. We then agreed that towing the car was the best course of action, however, Dave needed approval from his manager in Connecticut, that didn't answer. I then agreed to tow my vehicle , on my own accord, back to their shop to have it looked at with the promise that I would be reimbursed Again, Dave insisted that my engine code issue was not oil change related and that if I had a problem to call back. I was basically written off with no compensation or reassurance that my vehicle was ok to operate. If I could give zero stars, I would.Service: Oil change

They tried to fail my truck inspection because my wiper blade has a small tear in it. Of course they sell new blades at $20 a peice. He was not happy that I just happen to have a new wiper blade with me. Sorry buddy!

I showed up for an inspection as I've done with multiple cars over the last couple years and I was turned away saying I had to make an appointment. The next available inspection appointment was the next day. I was being told this while sitting in my car staring at two empty bays and three guys just standing around chatting inside. I left quite irritated. I drove by 20 minutes later and the bays were still empty. I drove 10 minutes further to JiffyLube and was inspected and out the door in 35 minutes. Good way to lose a customer!

Super fast service, nice and knowledgeable guys. Advised me on some overdue maintenance work that needed to be done but never pressured me to. Still got them done anyways since I was there and they were very thorough with everything. Definitely would come back.

Just bought a Subaru and brought it into get an oil change. My car calls for 5.1 quarts of oil. They only put 4.1 quarts in. After driving for 3 days my low oil light came on. I brought it in and they added a little more and said it was on the house. Drove for another couple days and low oil light came back on. So after researching how much oil was supposed to be in the car I figured out what happened. I added the rest and the low oil light is off and has stayed off. I paid $80 for a oil change that could have destroyed my new car. I have been going there for years and never had a problem. I think after this experience I will not be returning.Service: Oil change

I am not sure why valvoline has bad reviews. I have never had an issue with my valvoline oil changes. I highly suggest this valvoline as they are not generally super busy and will come let you know an estimated time as well.

I had a very different experience here today vs others. I won't be going back. I made an appt for an inspection. They took my money after completing the inspection and I get back to my car and surprise it failed. Why not tell me that when I'm paying? It was for torn wiper blades, replacement of which is a service they provide. Why not offer to replace the blades? I replaced them myself and returned that day for reinspection. They put the sticker on, drove the car out, told me I was all set and slammed the overhead door down. Perhaps that's because it was 3pm, closing time on Sunday. Thanks for being rude, you earned yourself another negative review like many others I see. Your competition thanks you too because they have a new customer.

Needed an oil change and a state inspection, I arrived on a Friday morning and was the only customer so both guys worked on my car at once. Even with the extra radiator flush service (which was long overdue) the whole process took less than 30 minutes.

This Valvoline is great. I typically only have to wait 10-15 mins, sometimes I can just pull right in. Staff is friendly and competent. I always had good oil changes and tire rotations. No issues unlike other Valvoline locations I have been to in the area. Very happy with this place.
