Don t bring your car here unless you want it damaged. I brought in my car that was functioning without issue for an inspection. They changed the tires. As soon as I left there was a new mechanical issue they are refusing to fix. Read the other reviews this has occurred multiple times to others at this garage, save yourselves the trouble.

As a family we have had two cars serviced here several times over the course of about 3 years. From minor problems to major issues, we have always been impressed with the high level of service and friendly staff. They have always delivered on what repairs were discussed and was very communicative and transparent if other necessary part change or repair is needed. High level work out of a neighborhood shop. Conveniently located next door to a Dunkin Donuts, Subways, 7-11, and other local shops while you wait. If you are not nearby they are definitely worth the drive. Highly recommended.

Very professional and friendly service. I went there for inspection and it was very quick. They do offer various services and price looks reasonable.Update for oil change : "Very professional and friendly service. Came here by recommendation of a friend who has been bringing her and her families cars for years! So expectations were already high and I must say Sam and his team exceeded it. They are kind, patient and above all HONEST. They took the time to do a thorough inspection of my Nissan Altima and explained to me the issue and proposed solutions in a way that I - someone who knows nothing about cars - could actually understand. It s quite a trek from Astoria but worth the trip and will be coming here from now on moving forward! Thank you thank you thank you!!

Went there for an inspection for a car I had routinely been driving without issue. After picking up from inspection I noticed a major issue that did not exist before. I immediately went back and the guy said "it can happen sometimes" and quoted me a fee to fix it.I definitely don't trust this shop anymore and I don't recommend it to anyone for that reason

The most horrible mechanic in Floral Park, Glen Oaks and Bellerose combined. Stay away from them. It used to be better before they had the new partner, who s very greedy. Sam used to be less greedy but now he has become very greedy as well. They will squeeze you dry. No wonder you d see their parking lot all empty because people just started avoiding them. Horrible people. Charged me 370 dollars for replacing a fuse that costs $3.75. Stay away from them at all costs. I would give them 0 stars if possible.

These guys are accommodating and trustworthy mechanics. Got a quote from a different garage for an exhaust manifold gasket repair ($600) for some cabin exhaust smell. These guys took one look and pointed out EGR vacuum hose was missing ($12).Problem solved. Their service is awesome. This place always saved me whenever I had flat tires. It happens a lot to me since I have 2 cars and I live 2 blocks away. The owner and their manager are both very courteous and helpful. I have repeatedly dealt with them and they have always done a great job. It's a good neighborhood service center.

STAY AWAY from them, I was there yesterday with my dad s Nissan Murano, exhaust was making noise, so I asked the gentleman to check it. After he lifted the car he said you have a leak in your Flex Pipe, we can fix it. it will take an hr.His mechanics completed the job in 20 min. Basically he cut the flex pipe and welded two new 10 inch pieces. He charge me $381.00.Later I went to another muffler shop to check if I paid fair price, they told me they replace the full exhaust pipe for around $165.They overcharged.Service: Exhaust

I had a dead car battery. I was stuck in the Dunkin' donuts parking lot next to the mechanic, and they had someone start my car, bring it to their garage and worked on it promptly. It was done quickly and manager couldn't have been nicer. I appreciate the prompt service because I was already late to work. They understood and helped me right away. Thanks for the great service.

This place hires only skilled and knowledgeable technicians with years of experience fine tuning their craft. And the owner runs a business based on honesty and transperancy. They will not perform any additional services without your approval. The service was fairly fast , and the price was fair. But what I appreciated the most about my experience was observing the high level of spirit each member of this company has; from the porter to the owner, all had the same level of integrity and dedication to customer service. Thank you guys! You now have another customer for life!

Came into the store today because my exhaust prob needed some welding. However, there was a bigger problem with catalytic converters. Instead of just doing some work that would not have fixed the problem, he employee recommended I think about the total cost of the whole repair which would ve been over $1000. Decided to hold off on the repair and consider getting a new car. I felt that the employee was very genuine and I felt well taken care off.

Be careful. These guys are scam artists. They over charge for parts, and they try to get you to fix things that aren t broken. Especially if you don t know much about cars.They don t even fill your car with all the motor oil after an oil change.They ll hustle you out for your money. Be aware of this place.They even mess up certain parts so you have to keep coming back in. This place got really bad after Sam ( the bigger guy) got a partner who works with him now.

If there's anything that could be said about and auto repair service garage is that most of them are hit-or-miss. I am sure that 1 or more of you have had the misfortune and experience of having to deal with one of these garages but I can honestly say that New Prime Auto Repair and Muffler came through in a pinch when I needed inspection for my car on the same expiration date, AND, oddly enough twice, when I needed two batteries for 2 of my motorcycles, something of which I didn't think they dealt in but they did and moreover had it to me in a matter of days after ordering it and at a price that is 40% less than the motorcycle places that sell them. In all sincerity, I give new prime 2 thumbs up and 5 stars for coming through on several occasions and will continue to seek them out should I need further auto care service. I recommend them Oh! Oh, and ask for Jeeta, one of the owners, he's really cool, honest and super nice and will be more than happy to help you out!

Was recommended to come here by a friend for any work I need. My catalytic converter went bad and I needed it changed ASAP. After a busy day at around 5 I called and asked if they could squeeze me in before they closed. They said to come down and in 20 mins they neatly welded in my new cat and were very honest with all their prices. Manager Sam is a cool guy

What a blessing! New Prime Auto Repair is officially my Go To shop and I will be referring everyone to them! I have had more than my fair share of some of the well known shady auto repair experiences. For this reason, I have begun to overlook a few things when they went wrong with my car, but an Inspection is an Inspection and there was no way I could avoid having mine renewed. With that said, I went to New Prime Auto Repair just up the block from me on Hillside Avenue and 254th just past Little Neck Pkwy. Upon arrival, I was greeted promptly and politely by a gentleman with a huge smile. My car was taken in within minutes! Before I could get through reading a magazine article, my Inspection was completed. The mechanic was so pleasant as he explained to me a few issues my car had (which I had been avoiding having repaired). I needed a new front driver s side tire because it had a bubble on it; apparently that is what had been causing my car to shake a bit when I would drive. He offered me an almost new tire for less than $20, and with my permission he replaced the problematic tire, rotated and balanced all the other tires as well! He also for no additional charge, took care of a fuse issue I was having and fixed the weather stripping on my passenger door! I never thought I would find an Auto Repair Shop I would feel more than comfortable with, I can say that these guys are absolutely wonderful! They are kind, pleasant, genuine, honest men who truly want to make a difference in both the industry and well as the world- what a blessing! :)

Made an appointment with them for 2pm. Call to confirm at 1. They said I was good. No problem bring the car in. I drove in from queens. Then I get a call 4 hours later saying they can not do the car today. Manager told me stuff happens and acted like he did not care at all!!!! Very disappointing. Wasted my day!!!

The guys here are knowledgeable and their prices are fair. They check in with the customer before doing any work not previously discussed and they're transparent about their advice & associated costs upfront. Prime Auto always treats customers honestly and with respect, which is why I'll keep coming.

During this COVID-19 time I drove up to find out if it was possible to come back later on in the day and was told to just drive inside and my car was serviced and inspection done. I appreciate their effort, time and patience they put out also.Have been coming to this specific location on Hillside Jamaica for the past 3years and has been getting good hospitality since.Service: Electrical

Look i dont know about others but if you dont know anything about cars then your a glutin for punishment and run the risk of getting scammed by any shop that see you coming a mile away lol. With technology today everyone has an information super highway in there pockets. I have been coming here for years for work i cant do myself and they take care of me every time with good quality work hands down. My car is modded, tunned etc. And i feel very comfortable bringing my car here for exhaust work and suspension work. As a mechanic its way easier when a customer knows what the problem is and has the parts thats how i roll and when i come here work gets done fast and professional!Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair

This place is great quick in and out. Mr. Jeeta is so professional he will tell you the honest truth about what is wrong with your car. In the time of pandemic where people are ripping each other Mr. Jeeta stands by the quality and price of the work they do. If there were more stars then I would give that as well. Great work guys. Thank you for being honest and providing quality care

I had a flat tire.. Ive been to them 1,000,000 times before.. The young man told me they had to order the tire since I need a new one and it would be $120. When they were finished with the car I went to pay and all of a sudden it was $244! I almost fainted! The older man said said I must have misunderstood because it's not $120.. I did NOT misunderstand! For $220 I would have gone someplace else! YOUR STAFF TOLD ME THE WRONG PRICE! I don't think i will ever go back to them again. I am a single mom and that $100 difference in price makes a HUGE difference.. SHAME ON YOU!!!! SHAME ON YOU!!!!Service: Tires

A pipe in my 2001 Civic exhaust corroded out, and the muffler was rusty also. These guys were the only ones open on Sunday so I took a chance. The parts were special order and would take a day, and I couldn't miss Monday at work, so I told them I would have to take it to a place near work. They offered to just patch it by replacing the pipe only, bending it themselves. I saved 3/4 of the cost and was done in an hour. The repair may only last 6 months but the car has 238,000 miles on it so that's fine. I asked for an oil change also - why not? Quick, courteous, honest - highly recommended.

I've only been here twice but they have taken excellent care of me both times. They are also open on Sundays which is a huge plus. The pricing is fair and I have never felt like I was ripped off. I would recommend this place to others.

This place overcharges then every mechanic shop in the world and also don t have reliable work. Whenever I ve gotten mechanical word done from them, that same mechanical issue will arise with a year and a half. Came in at 5:20 to an EMPTY shop and owner refused to do an oil change. Change your posted hours then. He said it d take a half hour, which would mean I d still be done by 5:50. Bad customer service. Even told him it s urgent and I can t come in tomorrow morning due to my work schedule. Stay away, give your money to a business that deserves it.

This place is a sneaky place. They will try to rip you off where the laws permit. Failed safety inspection with two items: low treads and wheel fasteners. Wheel fasteners because a lock lug nut was used and they didn't bother to ask for the key. Treads are still much higher than the required 2/32 inch. Regardless, changed tires and they tried to charge us for inspection again.Not the first to report their business ethic. Go elsewhere.
