In 1999, Horst Small Engine & Auto Repair fixed the transmission on my Ford Escort. It's been almost 25 years, and I never forgot their kindness. I live in a different area, but I would use them again. Totally recommend! btw- that old car ran for years after. Thank you <3

I take both my riding mower and hand mower to Melvin every year for annual maintenance.This past April my Husqvarna rider would not start. At the time Melvin was hampered by a pulled muscle in his shoulder. That did not stop him however, from helping me out. I run a vacation rental here in the Finger Lakes and I needed the mower fast as I had renters coming in just 2 days.Melvin quickly diagnosed the problem: a broken camshaft in the engine. His wife Arlene immediately called me with the news! Arlene ordered the part and it was delivered the next day. Melvin fixed my mower engine that same day. Arlene called to tell me I was all set. I picked up my mower and mowed my very large lawn just in time before my renters arrived the next day.I cannot say enough about Melvin. He is an outstanding master of his trade. I've never seen anyone as knowledgeable and thorough as he. I am grateful to know that I can always count on Melvin and Arlene whenever I need service !
