Robert retired, and with him the earnest service and goodwill that characterized the shop he worked in. His replacement, a boorish Indian fellow has none of his tact or manners when dealing with customers. This was my go to place until I heard and experienced this. He tried to rip my aunt off over what would have been a simple windshield wiper change.

Savvy has always been my goto autoshop. With that said they are always busy and calling ahead is helpful. I always feel they hear me and they get my car back on its way. Very solid techs.

I had a fantastic experience here and I love getting a free car wash on every oil change. They did an excellent job on my oil change, tire replacement, and engine work. The service was efficient, and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Cannot trust them anymore. Been going here for years for oil changes and this last one takes the cake. I thought something was amiss when they didn't change the sticker, but on the invoice they said they changed it so I gave the benefit of the doubt. It has been a couple thousand miles and I finally decided to check to find they didn't remove the old oil. They just added more oil. Assuming they know cars, their goal seems to be to mess your car up so they can charge you more to "repair" it. Like how can the tech be so lazy. It's not like he has to manually jack up the car. I digress. I will continue to believe they did all of the work they charged me for except for this last one. Goodbye Savvy. Do better

One of the worst customer service i ever dealt with in my life. The indian guy was getting mad at me because i didnt take the extra services he offered. The price is way to high for a brake pads... I wouldnt recommend this place at all. If i could give you guys a 0 star, i wouldve done that.

My father and I have been taking our cars to Savvy in Fresh Meadows for many years. Vic, Wayne and the rest of the crew there are honest, professional and experienced. They always do their work in a timely fashion and I have never been less than 100% satisfied. They also communicate everything clearly in terms of pricing and timelines. I recently took my car to Savvy Good Year for a routine maintenance check and I was thoroughly impressed with the level of professionalism and expertise displayed by the mechanics. TLC drivers should not come here for annual inspection. It will waste your time. They will tell you the waiting time of 1 hour and the inspection takes 30-40 minutes. (4 months new car).Service: Vehicle safety inspectionService: Vehicle safety inspection

I want to complement both the person at the desk & the technician. Had a slow leak in a tire. Stopped by to get it plugged. No reservation but was done under an hour. Both were polite & thorough. The technician even filled air in all 4 tires to specification so saved me from doing it after. Nice to find a business like this close to home. Will consider again for anything related to my car.Service: Tires

If you want to pay for a service twice this is your spot, I ve never felt a good enough reason to put a Google review until today, my car broke down and I towed it to savvy big mistake, so the push to start doesn t work they fix it and gave me a 12000 mile warranty I was happy About ten days later I had the same issue, originally he claims a sensorIssue at 4pm they call to say what was I doing with the not knowing what was wrong with the car. at 530 they say the car is ready but billed me for 2 hours labor initially he says they will charge me 125 for diagnostic but goes to the repair if you fix it, so whatever I got overcharged 1 hour and I don t think he changed a sensor, then 10 days later the same issue armed with my warranty I surely be taken care of not at savvy s cause they are savvy af. They say it s completely different issue and 425 for starter 150 for labor I said u have to help me with something he says-150 I say whatever cause I need my car, when I get there he said 250 for labor and reduced it to 150He got me, then he threatened to raise it to 750 and not give me my keys my last resort is Google help me reviewer and shame man to give me my money and if there s ever a class action lawsuit message me cause I know there s more of us out therePs if he says your tires are worn be careful and go somewhere else every single person that came in had there tire wornPss I m sorry I can t give them minus stars god please teach them there lesson cause I am powerless overthem

If you like to pay for a service twice savvy s is your place,I had push to start not working and had it towed to savvys big mistake,he initially says 125 diagnostic but it will go toward your repair, they call me 4pm asking me questions about the car not knowing what was wrong with them call me at 530 telling me it was a sensor issue so In one and half hour they figured it out got the delivery for the part and called me it was ready I get there they charged me 2 hours labor knowing the math didn t make sense and not wanting to have a issue with them for my 12k warranty I took the l, the car was working I was happy even though I was overcharged 10 days later same issue I had it towed from Brooklyn $300 later I was armed with my warranty surely I will be taken care not at savvys uh uh cause they stay true to there they are savvy af they call me and tell me it s a completely different issue even though it s the same push to start I ask for some concession he says he will deduct 150 for labor and I will pay 425 for starter when I get there he raised the labor price and deducted 150 he was getting 175 more, he threatened me with the keys and charging me 725 so i pay with cc and defeated I take my car knowing that I can go back even with a 12k warranty,beware of the man with the tattoo on his hand he will get you and while I was waiting to get my car every one that came in he was warning them there tires are worn, do not go to savvy s unless you want to pay twice for the same service or if you want be told your tires are worn.Ps please god give savvy s what they deserve ,Google world I need your help to get my money back from these shady savvy s worker, and this is one of few post I ever put because I don t complain muchI m also sorry I can t give him minus starsOh and my bill said I need 4 new tires lolSavvy s is a joke.

I noticed a flat tire yesterday. Therefore I showed up the next day little after they opened. Robert told me as soon as his guy shows up he will have it serviced since I was first. Tire was patched and all good to go for me in 20 minutes when the mechanic began working on it. It was promptly serviced. Thank You Robert & your team. I'm happy I live close by, because I will always stop by for my car/tire needs. Services provided are professional, and I would recommend this place. Older gentleman in the front has an attitude and they took my car for a spin after the alignment service which is fine but I saw from my dash cam they were speeding in the neighborhood which I didn t appreciate them doing in my vehicle. 3/5 because they completed the service correctly.Service: Wheel alignmentService: Wheel alignment

I brought my car in for an oil change and also to have them look at a noise my car was making when I press the gas. I got there when they first open and was seen right away. When the car was ready about 30 min later I asked if the noise was checked for I was told no and that they can t look at it now because other people started showing up for service. I ve brought numerous cars there and will be taking my business else where from now on. That s a very poor way to treat any customer who s there and told their car will be looked at but because other people show up they can no longer look into the issue my car is having.Service: Oil change

I went to the store for tire change. I want to put good year tire. I saw online this good year they do price match. I ask the gentleman on the desk did you guys do price match ? He says we don t do price match. But if you purchase 4 tire you can get $60 rebate . I order four tire. Each are $210 included labor charge. I deposit $100. Following day he make a bill $935 included $100 service charges.but online those tire are $170 each. He charged me $40 extra on each tire plus $100 service. But if you order online those tire are $790 included installation. Don t go to this place this guy going to cut your pocket.later he handed me a flyer to claim my $60 online. He supposed deduct this out of my total. Earlier he deny me to do the price match.

****6-28-20 UPDATE: Out of businessVisited the Savvy Lube, and I am very pleased with the service. I accidentally put too much oil in the tank, so I brought the car here to have the oil drained and changed. They did a good job, and didn't try to oversell me, I thought I needed an engine flush, but was told that the engine flush wouldn't really do any good for my needs at the time. I appreciate them not taking advantage. I will always come back.

Went for a basic brake change, just so they can call me three different times to offer to fix things that didn t have to be fix. They said my back brake light were not working, but they had been replaced less than a month ago for the yearly inspection. I told them that I wasn t interested in the service but when I went to picked up my car the cover on the lights were on the floor (the cover is always on, there s no reason for it not to be) and the lights had been tamper with. Why would they touch them after I clearly told them I didn t desire their service on my light plus I went for you to fix my brakes, not for you to go around touching parts of the car I didn t request you to.

We live in Buffalo, NY and my son was visiting in Queens. Long story short a tire blew out and he needed a new one. I called Savvy (my brother uses them from time to time) and while Steve did not know my brother he still took the time to try to locate this specific tire and responded back in a timely manner. However, he was unable to get this tire which a few other stores had trouble obtaining as well (Tiger PAW AWP3 205/60R16 92T It was the "T" that I wanted to be consistent with the other 3 newer tires but apparently it has been discontinued. We finally procured the tire at a tire store which promised the 92T after a 3 day delivery. Turns out speed rating was an H, but we had to take it.When they put the tire on they noticed a few issues with some missing fender clips and the ABS brake sensor harness. My concern was the latter. While this place did what was the best band aid they could, I did not like the idea of my son driving back to Buffalo the next day with an unknown issue. I suggested he drive the car to Savvy to get their opinion. Savvy was able to make the time to put it on the lift, repair the minor fender clip issues, and secure the ABS harness such that it was functional and should remain in place. What they charged me was reasonable, and fair, something we don't see enough of. Rob also took a few minutes to explain the whole thing to me. I know they have been servicing my niece's car for years and my brother would not go anywhere he wasn't happy with. It's a car, stuff happens, your mileage may vary. But I really appreciated my experience and thought it important enough to share.

This character Vic is some kind of comedian.A wrong diagnostic is done by Savvy.Afterall they were a tire shop that became a glorified auto repair shop.If Robert is not present nothing is done correctly.Very bad service and attitude from VIC.Stay away from this overpriced shop that is not worth it.
