Excellent experience.I purchased my first Porsche, a 2010 Panamera, from an individual on Long Island and needed a pre-buy inspection done.South Shore Performance was incredibly accommodating to my schedule and they did a fantastic job of performing a thorough prebuy. They made sure I understood any issues, answered all my questions, and even made themselves available to questions in the future should I have issues arise.I get the impression that Bill and his team have a deep knowledge and passion for what they do and if I buy a german car in the area again, I'll happily give them my business.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Bill put the wrong clutch kit in my 1993 Porsche 968. The one he put in had the pressure plate for a 964, not a 968. After bringing back the car 4 times after the initial repair (a half day trip from NYC each way), I finally had the problem diagnosed correctly by another mechanic. Bill would not take responsibility for the mistake and would not replace the incorrect pressure plate, instead becoming combative. I replaced the pressure plate at my own expense with the other mechanic and the problem was solved. I would not recommend this business for their incompetence and rudeness.

The service at South Shore Performance was worth the trip. Mr. Rudtner was thoughtful, answered my questions, had the service performed as I requested and didn't try to sell me on unwarranted work. Thank you.

Beautiful shop. Bill answers all of the calls and handles them with care and consideration. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here, especially if you are into racing.

southshore thanks for your excelente diagnosis on my 911 , without you I would lost 27k Im asking any one to trust this place , because too many crooks out there, southshore performance is so professional and will give you top quality service and diagnostic, what I get charged is nothing compared to what other places charged ,I'm happy they save me from wasting 27k on a 911 I just bought ,with document and pictures I get my money back.what I like the most southshore check more stuff on the car than I expected,and also advice me ,they save me from getting robb thanks southshore performance freeportJay

If you re serious about taking your Porsche to the track then South Shore Performance is the place to go.Bill and his team serviced my car quickly, and kept me in the loop with videos during the entire process.My car performs better than it ever has and I couldn t be happier!

Very disappointed !!!Drop my 911 for small repairs and inspection after purchase..Mr Bill take his sweat time !!my car was almost 2 weeks he didn t inspect it and didn t drove it !Someone who named as professional Porsche shop really not professional!!!small repairs he didn t count!I ll call him several times and his answer was I don t have time..So why you told me to drop my car to sit in your shop ?don t sell stories to your potential clients

I have been a customer for years with several vehicles. Bill is extremely knowledgeable and his staff provides great service as well. As inconveniencing it is whenever faced with the unexpected alerts for my vehicle maintenance, it is certainly reassuring to know I have an auto specialist that gets the job done the right way, every time. Bill Rudtner and his crew are 2nd to none....they are Porsche racing Masters and it's a privilege to have them maintain my 2011 GMC Yukon XL.....hit 210k miles on a straight 13 hour run from TN.Want a great shop?This is the place!Services: Exhaust, Engine repair, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Auto maintenance

This place is absolutely ridiculous. After changing my brake pads and rotors, I brought my car in because I was still having some driveline noises. Bill diagnosed it as my front brakes, going off of experience (his words not mine) and claiming that he disassembled the brakes twice to make sure this was the case. I was hesitant to believe this, but I trusted his judgment based off of who he is. Well, after charging $1400 to only change the front brakes (I was charged $160 for pads that are $40 a set!) the noise was still there. After being told that it was a different noise, we set off on a test drive on one of the noisiest roads (meadowbrook southbound) where I was told the noise was inaudible despite me clearly hearing it, and simply could not be fixed without great labor. Frankly, this is very disappointing, considering the fact I paid a lot extra for noise diagnosis and that I was reassured time and time again that the noise was no longer there. Maybe this place is good for Porsche, but if you love your BMW and your wallet, don t take your car here. I am in the same place as when I started, just $1400 lighter.Service: Brakes
