I called for a bent rim for my tesla model y which had a slow leak i talked to him he sounded convincing with his work and negotiated the price with him. He took my wheel and tire and had me back on the road in and hour. Satisfied with his workDrove the car for a week or so and no leaks.

Awful service, he welded a cracked rim for my Corvette which started leaking from the weld again. when I try to call him to bring it in to get looked at he tells me Tomorrow and when I get there the shop is closed as another person here mentioned and he's not even there and tells me he'll fix it tomorrow again. Of course when I call he puts me off a third day and now has completed started dodging my calls. Avoid work from him at all costs

Called the shop number randomly after finding him on google maps. I needed my car fixed the same day. I had a cracked him and he promised he would have the work done while I wait and he didn t disappoint. Walked down to the corner deli, had a sandwich, when I came back he had my Tesla Model Y Performance rim welded and was putting it back on. Highly recommend for a reasonable and efficient job.

Complete waste of time. I called early in the afternoon to make an appointment to fix my bent rim. The guy was nice and agreed to meet me at 4:30. He said it would cost $160 cash. More than I was quoted by Mavis, but at least he said he could get it done same day. Asking for cash is sketchy for any business, and that should have been a red flag.I had to rearrange my whole afternoon and take my 9-year-old daughter with me. We drove a half hour to get there, and then couldn't find it. The listed address, 235 Robbins #L, has a guy who makes wooden doors and had no idea where the wheel repair was. After 20 minutes of looking, trying to call the guy and just getting voicemail, another business owner showed me which unit was the wheel repair guy. It's in #G, not #L.And NO ONE WAS THERE!No signs or any indication whatsoever what the business is. I knocked, tried calling again, waited another 10 minutes and finally gave up. What a total waste of an hour and a half of my time! And now it's too late in the day to get it fixed somewhere else, so I'm stuck still driving on the bad wheel.The Google listing is for Long Island Wheel Repair, but the website lists the business name as Dr. Wheel Speedy Wheel Repair (same phone number). The van parked in front is for Cossman Custom Cabinet. There is something incredibly shady about a business that keeps changing its name, that won't even put up a sign, that requires payment in cash, that doesn't show up for appointments and that doesn't answer the phone or return calls.

Highly recommend reaching out to John for professional wheel repairs. Fixed and high speed balanced my bent 20" Tesla rims in less than a hour.

John is a great guy and took care of my cracked rim. I had an annoying air leak and discovered that it wasn t an issue with the tire but that there was a crack on the inside of the rim as mentioned by a nearby tire shop. The tire shop gave me the referral to John and he took care of my issue the next day I called him in the morning on a weekend! Not only did he fix the rim but he noticed that my sensor was messed up from whomever mounted my tire but he corrected the sensor for me as well. If you have an issue with your rim, give him a call. His shop is in the inside of the strip next to power house gym. You make a turn at the barber shop.

I would not recommend this shop to anybody period. I brought my car to have repaired the rim for $175.00 with cash. He would not accept anything else. As soon as I got home,I lost pressure and the light came on. I called John, the owner he said he will take care of it. He never did instead he kept scheduling the appointment many times in almost 2 weeks and never showed up until I stopped calling him.Service: Tires

Thank you John for dedicating your time and your well experience for fixing my rim. I had a very bad crack on my rim in where I was putting air every single day for the past eight nights.thanks John I found a place close to my house which was like eight minutes away and he did a very good job very fast and a very well experience. I ve done rim repairs in other places to be honest after two months later the crack was even worse than before. I met John a few weeks ago and had him refinish 4 Porsche 993 wheels for me and mount and balnce the tires on the refinished wheels.He did a great job on the wheels and they came out perfect.He also straightened a bent rear wheel from a 2001 Porsche 911 that came out perfect! He's a very busy guy and is sometimes hard to get a hold of but for me it was well worth the effort.I've been an outo technician for 50 years and can tell that he knows wheel repair! Terrible. Terrible communication Terrible ethics. Was told he would be at the shop by 9am. woke up gave him a call then a text no reply. Showed up to the shop at 10 still no answer. I finally spoke to him at 10:30 tells me he will here in an hr so I wait. 2 of his friends show up waited some more called several times no answer . Ordered uber eats still waitng ate my food still waiting called him again no answer. Finally I left 1:42 I would never reckoned him ti anyone his lack of communication. And dishonestly is insane . No sense of time or respect of anyone else's. An honest call hay I can't make it would have been fine or can we reschedule but no .

I had a slow leak in my tire due to a bent rim and my car dealership and mavis both told me it would take 3 days as they would have to ship it out to a rim specialist. Decided to look up rim repair specials near me and so glad I found this place! John was great and told me he could fix my rim ASAP and have it done while I was still there so I wouldn t be without a car. He fixed it in 15 minutes for a reasonable price and was very helpful. Hopefully I won t have any more rim issues but if I do, I will definitely go to JP and would recommend his service to friends/family!

I couldn't find the location originally as it is tucked away from the road. I met with Mr. Cossman and he touted himself as someone knowledgeable with the cost of his tools and his clients. I told him my situation of low tire pressure and he took the tire off to look at it. I had to take a call but trusted he would do a proper job. Thinking I had a leak that maybe would cost 20 - 30 dollars to fix since the tires had fairly good tread and no apparent sign of a big hole I hoped he would give me an adequate assessment. I got off the call and I asked what was wrong. He said it was a bent rim. I asked if he tested for leaks he said he sprayed the tire. it was my wife's car I could br certain of whether this was true. He told me it would be 140 dollars. Shocked I told him I couldn't pay that. He asked me how much I could.i told him I was expecting between 20 to 30 dollars in all honesty. He said he could do 100 because he did do much work to fix my tire. Unhappy to give him that amount of money I reluctant left at least hoping the problem was fixed. A day later my wife sent me a picture showing that air was still leaving the tire. I asked a friend to help me check the tire at home. We submerged it in water and found a small hole. I took it to another tire place where they fixed it for 25 dollars. I wish I was able to go there rather than a place that takes advantage of an unfortunate situation...

Took my cracked BMW rim to JP to see if he could repair it. Turns out there were two cracks on the inside of the rim. No problem, JP was able fix them and I was in and out in a little over an hour. Just came from John's shop having my three bent rims repaired on my BMW 6 series. He did an outstanding job, long story short I came in wanting to fix only one rim. But he insisted that he check the other three rims to make sure everything was okay. I told him to go ahead why not. So happens two other rims were bent also, this is what was causing my car to shimmy at high speeds. He's a lifesaver and he knows what he's doing, all in all it took around two and a half hours to do three rims which is unheard of. My car rides like a plane now I will not go anywhere else to get my rims repaired or resurfaced.

Called another wheel repair shop in Long Island and was told it would be a month and half wait. Shortly after I called John, he got me in next day. Originally I was looking to just fix two bent wheels and asked John if it would be possible to also mount new blizzak tires while the wheels were off the car. John willingly accepted, when I arrived at his facility he saw my wheels had seen better days and offered me a price a couldn t refuse to fully restore my wheels back to new ( mind you these are Bathurst wheels off a MK6 GLI that are machined and painted, not an easy task to restore repaint and re clear coat). In less than 48 hours I had my wheels back better than new, and couldn t be happier. Bends fixed and all. Couldn t ask for more. I will recommend him to everyone I know hands down!

Much better than I expected and excellent workmanship..a few customers complained but I see john is always busy with work and going out of his way to meet new customers..he mentioned he had bad reception on his cell phone to return a few calls so he was late to answer a few very impatient customers that had a bad day dealing with the outside world.. john says he switched cell phone services to have a better working phone service to answer all the important calls..good idea as my cell phone does not work sometimes to answer some important calls.. thumbs up and thanks for the work john..Service: Tires

Got a cracked wheel fixed from this guy and the wheel started leaking air the next day, he also broke the tire bead. He admitted it was his fault and said he would refund my money and now he doesn t answer my phone or my texts. This guy is a fraud and most like the reviews are fake.
